Chapter 92: Golden Altar

Wo Shie slowly continued his climb as the temperature continued to drop and the winds became harsher. He had been climbing so long he could finally see rays of sunlight shining through the spaces of the leaves.

He could also see slightly higher up the trunk of the massive tree continued past the highest leaves.

'I'm almost there..' Wo Shie said inwardly as he continued his journey. The wind was so harsh even on the horizontal portions of branches Wo Shie was forced to crawl lest he be thrown to a sad death.

The numbness continued to set deeper into Wo Shie's hands causing his hands to feel like they were being pricked by needles constantly.

He watched the sun rise as its rays began to illuminate how magnificent the tree was. The wood of the tree was such a dark brown that it was almost black, while each leaf resembled the night sky.

The suns arrival was a welcome joy as it's warmth helped fight the painful numbness in his hands. It was hard for him to even keep moving forward, he continuously was trying to find his way to whichever side of the tree the wind wasn't blowing as strongly before he could climb any vertical stretch of the tree.

The exhaustion was evident on his face as his sweat continued to crystallize into ice shards that he had to break off repeatedly causing immense pain.

The sun continued its journey across the sky, by the time Wo Shie made it to the leaves at the peak of the tree the sun was hanging high in the sky representing the middle of the day.

'Damn it, why the hell am I even doing any of this it's not like any of this is important I did what the oversoul said and separated from this damned tree and my foundation and now I have to risk my life just to keep living…'

By this point the wind on either side of the tree was torrential. The only saving grace was the sun had helped his hands from freezing stiff, still the numbness and coldness he felt in his hands was like nothing he had felt before.

Wo Shie lay flat on his stomach holding on to the branch with his head twisted up looking at the rest of the trunk where Taijutu's abode rested. He slowly pushed himself up enough to where the only things that remained in contact with the tree were his hands and feet before beginning to make his way towards the trunk.

He slowly propped himself against the tree while visibly fighting against the wind that wanted to carry him away.

Breathing in winds like this would be simply impossible luckily even before relinquishing his foundation and divine universe tree he had already established his cultivation.

Also the gods omnipotence body technique he practiced seemed to have the added benifit of infinite physical recovery, if it wasn't for these factors combined he would have either suffocated or been thrown off the tree by the wind long ago.

Every movement required his complete focus and full strength, he climbed the trunk of the tree slowly, every move labored.

The sun quickly went from its peak to setting over the horizon, the ice build up on Wo Shie's face became thicker, he could only bang his face against the tree to remove it.

He was almost tossed off in an attempt to remove the ice with his hand and almost again after he put himself in a daze trying to bang his head against the tree to remove ice shards.

As the last of the suns light began to leave the sky Wo Shie could see he was almost at the peak where it slowly began to taper into a flatter surface.

He continued climbing, the cliff like tree trunk slowly turned into a hill and the hill slowly tapered off into a flat surface where he could finally see it.

The magnificent statues of dragons that looked ready to come to life at any moment against the black diamond castle. Wo Shie had seen many magnificent structures within Lone wolf city but not a singly one could compare with the castle he was in front of right now.

The closer he got to the castle the weaker the winds became as if nature itself did not want to disrespect something so majestic.

Wo Shie continued towards the castle, when he reached the castle walls he could feel a strong force calling for him.

'Is this the manual or my foundation?' He thought to himself.

He placed his hand on the golden metal handle of the door and pushed to which the door slowly began to open.

Inside was like a house of black mirrrors, the only thing keeping its appearance from looking like a confusing labyrinth was the pristine white floors which contrasted with the walls so much that all could be seen was pathways with infinite reflections on either side.

Wo Shie continued through the main hall that led to a throne room where the Taijutu Incarnate was placed on a golden altar.

He climbed the stairs leading to the golden altar before finally he reached his goal. He reached out and placed his hand onto the manual.

In that same moment it was as if something dormant inside of him exploded awake sending pain through every part of his being causing him to collapse on the ground.
