"I refuse to answer," Lance replies tersely.
"It's said that you battled the Rota Gym Leader with your full team and got completely swept. Is that true?"
"I refuse to answer," Lance responds with a cold expression.
"It's rumored that after your defeat, the Rota Gym Leader made you change your online name to 'Dodo' for half a month. Is that true?"
"I refuse to answer," Lance, now called 'Dodo,' replies, clearly irritated.
"What’s your opinion of the Rota Gym Leader?"
"I thought having three Dragonites in my team made me invincible, but he had the nerve to set up a hail team on the spot and completely counter me with four Alolan Ninetales! What do I think? This is outrageous! Who let him become a Gym Leader?"

THIS IS A GOOD POKEMON FANFIC. This seems like a original concept. So I will point out the facts: 1. I can't comment on updaterate of the chapters because as of this review, the chapters read were in Mass Release. Everything else seems good to me. 2. Concept is great. seemed to be an transmigrated story without Systems. 3. interesting idea concept especially with the mc being a gym leader of a declining gym.
RAW: 精灵，谁让他做道馆馆主的 The story has an interesting premise and there's stable updates. There is a system which may put some people off this story, but aside from that its a solid read. The translation is also pretty good.
It begins with a great start. Bonus gym Gary Oak went against, with an isekai protag. Sadly, it devolves into "system" slop quite fast. The story didn't even need it in the first place as a counter type gym would actually be a fascinating read, but instead we get shortcuts through the beginning where instead of character development we get menus and stuff from doing basic things the MC would have done anyways. Also, we get the regular intelligence debuff for Canon characters that is all too common in this type of story.
Nice fic, there are few good ones on gym leaders out there. Can anyone give me recommendations similar to this?? One i can recommend is:- Where the Moon Rises - by fuwami.
translator-san, or author, put the raw in the synopsis please, to make this easy for the gang MTL find....
The simple explanation for this story is “reincarnater becomes gym leader and trolls challengers with the most toxic, cancer inducing strats possible.” It’s hilarious.
The premise is good. Writing is ok. But the 'System' mechanic came out of nowhere, there wasn't even a tag for it. I expected the gym leader mc use his meta-knowledge to his advantage, which he still uses, but those moments feel shallow when he literally uses short-cuts with his System. And the exaggerated female praising is just plain cringe. It's like the author written it with one hand... I certainly hope he wouldn't be one of those mc that treats men different from fem just to show he's the toxic 'alpha male'.... Toxic gym leader I mean.

Interesting story, love it original content but I think system make the mc too op but still like the story and another plus point of story is that there many good battle
I need MORE lol, so far I love it and can't wait to see where the story goes. only a 4 out 5 stars for character development because there just isn't enough chapters in yet for me to really give it all 5 stars.
Interesting story, so far only 11 chapters, but I am hopeful this story will not be abandoned halfway through. Thanks for this story! I like that the MC is not some grand schemer who instantly uses meta knowledge and bashes everyone, but still uses his connections to improve his gym. Please don't let the gym leader be OP after chapter 20, thanks!
i like the story about mc being a gym leader, especially his cheat, i also like the pokemon battles in his gym with a mix of comedy, overall i like it. please keep updating
Uma fanfic interessante de pokemon, possui um bom desenvolvimento cuma ressalva do sistema que torna o mc meio op mas que pelo desenvolvimento do autor pode se relevar. No mais uma fanfic que vale a pena sua leitura
The writing is good Characters are good but I don’t feel like anyone other than MC will ever get fleshed out It feels like the MC will never loose, which if you like I guess that’s good but otherwise it’s bad Battles are unique and nice which is its strong suit The pokemon the mc uses don’t feel fleshed out To be honest the story is alright it’s good but it could be way better There is a lot of potential in the novel but it is all ruined because of the system. now to people who like system still hear me out. I like systems but only when they are given to mc who either need them or make it interesting. The MC does not need the system he is the sun of a billionaire and posses unique ability(which I am okay with since other people in the world posses them). He does need the system in anyway Honestly to put it into my perspective In one of the latest chp someone goes “wow I wonder how he got so strong it’s so unfair , I wonder who thought him”. And I was like the system the system is literally spoonfeeding him. The novel is so close to perfection, if you want to read for wish fulfillment read it. It’s a really good novel if that’s what you are searching for
To counter the sudden 1* reviews that suddenly appeared and only give emojis as a reason, here's a 5*. Translation is pretty good and update rate too. Character wise we can't say too much yet, but it is just the beginning so it's natural.
Why does it even have a system? It's my only grievance with the story. I stopped reading at chapter 12 when it shows up, maybe i'll pick it back up. If you don't mind the useless system you will probably like this story. By the way I don't hate systems, I just don't like the fact that it doesn't complement the story in any way. It is a simulation system for who wants to know.
