INT. - SILVER CITY MORGUE - EVENING

Ray leaned over the damaged body of the victim from the warehouse, face protected by a plastic shield, light focused on the ravaged flesh before her. A call from the 9th a half hour ago pulled her assistant, Robert, away before his nimble fingers entered the woman's deets into the database.

"Our Jane Doe has an ID," he said as he hung up, sliding from his stool to join Ray at the exam table. His almond eyes crinkled at the corners in sympathy, the body freshly washed only a few moments ago by his gentle hands. She'd packaged the remainder of all trace they removed from the woman's form personally, the plastic bags sealed with evidence tape in a bin by the door, waiting for the lab to come and pick them up.

"Do tell," Ray said, scalpel slicing a Y-shaped incision in the woman's chest.

"Irene Trenton, owner of Beauty, Inc. Cosmetics." He looked down at her with his thin lips tight. "Tisha loves her stuff. I bought her a bunch for Christmas."
