Imani's eyes opened with a jolt when the ringing of her phone filled the room and she let out a hard sigh as she rubbed her eyes before the phone stopped ringing. She groped around on the nightstand for the phone and turned it on to see the missed call was from Dahlia, her colleague. The time was eleven forty-one PM and she raised her brows in surprise, dropping the phone on the bed as she rolled over. She sat up when she saw that Lucas wasn't next to her and glanced around the room to find out that she was alone.

What had happened last night flashed through her mind and her face heated up as she unconsciously moved her fingers up to her lips before a smile crept onto her face. She remembered everything – every single detail – about the kiss.
