Chapter 11: Chapter 11: SELF PITY
Sometimes, at the center of all this chaos,
I can't help but give time for myself,
And think slowly, sink into sadness,
Why are we not recieving any sort of help?
Why of all eras, must we be the one to experience such bitter curse from the heavens?
I know nothing's even,
But why must our happiness and freedom be stolen?
Why me? Why us?
If we're going to be eaten alive,
Then I might as as well turn to dust...
Surely...there's a possibility we survive.
If...if God is truly on our side.
I slowly felt my eyes watering,
I can't help it, we're on the brink of dying,
And no military, government are doing anything,
They have forsaken us, the world is ending.
And here I am, slowly praying...
God help us...in a battle I'm not sure I'm winning.
Many have fallen, lost their families,
And even after all these casualties,
Here we are, striving to live even with the knowledge,
That we're on our own, pushed to the edge...
of defeat.
And we can't do anything but weep.
And pray to you...our Creator above...
As we are like flightless trapped doves!
Help us, see the light, and the reason for all this chaos,
Of why our lives be the cost...
And why many should be lost...
Perhaps many had turned against you...
But help us...one more time.
Because maybe...we can change too.
