Chapter 12: Chapter 12: FOOD SHORTAGE
What I feared most has been confirmed,
Food became scarce, at every turn,
And there's nothing we can do but go outside,
Into the big world, so cruel and wide.
As to be predicted I am picked,
To go with them, and fight the wicked,
And even though unsure, I did somehow approve,
After all...is there anything I can do to disapprove?
We climbed to the roof top, and my O Lord,
There they are, I don't even know the word...
All that registered, is the foul smell of human meat,
It made my eyes water, it's much unbearable than the blazing heat.
I covered my mouth, afraid to make a noise,
Then followed Mar, so very close,
I swear I shouldn't have, lived this far,
If things will be this risky, much worst than war.
Then I heard a short yelp, one of us slipped!
I looked around, he was at the very tip!
As others tried to hold his hand, zombies dragged him down,
And before my very eyes, I saw them tear his flesh,
Like a pack of hungry hounds...
