Chapter 5: Lee Jackie
Sebastian invites Reina to go to school without saying much. Sebastian knew things had gotten awkward because of their first kiss yesterday that just happened. The two of them walked from the front gate of the yard to the school which was quite far away. There were no students at all on the street. After half way, the students started to go to school. Reina wanted to complain that the trip to school was a long way. But again, this is a consequence of living with Aunt Shelena. Reina doesn't want to complain much and trouble Sebastian.
"Sebastian! How come you hang out with girls? Usually you walk alone. Who is this?" Asked one of the students who suddenly stopped the car and got out of the car to meet Sebastian. The man didn't answer and continued to walk making Reina feel bad at all. The girl immediately snapped out of anger.
"I asked why you didn't answer?! Just watch out! I'll make your girl regret walking beside you!" The student had threatened to do bad things to Reina.
Sebastian turned around and answered. "Reina is my cousin. Reina is here because of my Mama." After answering, Sebastian left the student alone. It's better to keep going than to respond to unimportant things.
The girl immediately fell silent and felt bad that she had threatened even though the girl who was walking with Sebastian was a cousin. The student felt that there was an opportunity to approach Sebastian by approaching the female cousin first.
"Oh, so Sebastian's cousin? Alright, I'll approach the new kid and use it to get close to Sebastian." The girl's name is Kezia. Kezia is one of the popular students at school. Kezia has been in love with Sebastian for a long time but the feelings have not been reciprocated.
Sebastian didn't like arrogant and aggressive women at all. Sebastian doesn't like Kezia's behavior who always threatens people close to Sebastian, especially girls. Even though at school, Sebastian has tried to be quiet so as not to be the center of attention but the same thing is that there are still girls who approach and seek attention.
Along the way to school several times the girl greeted Sebastian and got no reply at all. Sebastian looks cold even though he is cool and handsome, moreover, his body is dashing like that, surely the students like Sebastian. It's just that his cold attitude and lack of care for others are shortcomings which Reina thinks are annoying. Reina finally arrives at school with Sebastian. "I Will take you to your class. If there's anything, tell me." Sebastian also took Reina to class so that no one dared to disturb the girl.
"I went alone to class. It's not good for the students to stare at me. Maybe jealous." Reina was still staring at the road and said that because the feeling couldn't be denied that the possibility of jealous girls definitely existed. Reina clearly saw the disapproving eyes of the students who passed. Even though the students looked at Reina brightly as if they wanted to meet each other, Reina still felt uncomfortable.
"I'll take you. Like it or not, you have to want it." Sebastian did speak in a tone that wasn't too loud, but his words always pierced Reina's heart.
Reina was still able to fight. "I don't want to be the center of attention and have enemies because the girls are angry and jealous. You seem very famous here. I don't want to get into trouble." Reina still defended herself and chose to go to class on her own even though they were traveling alone. Sebastian stopped and held both of Reina's shoulders tightly.
"You want me to do yesterday's thing here just because you didn't do what I said?" Sebastian said that made Reina pause and remember the first kiss they had yesterday. Of course, Reina shook her head.
"No! You're crazy!" Reina obeyed Sebastian's words instead of being forcefully kissed at school. This first day could be a disaster for Reina if Sebastian was reckless.
Sebastian takes Reina to class and suddenly says something that makes Reina feel even more uncomfortable as a new student. "Everyone! This is Reina Smith the new student in class. This girl is my cousin. Don't disturb or cause trouble with Reina."
"Okay, big brother Sebastian!" Answer all students in the class. After that, Sebastian immediately left the class. Reina entered the classroom confused. There was a handsome man of Korean American descent who sat surrounded by girls. The man looked at Reina who came like an angel because she was so beautiful.
Reina sat on the empty bench in front and alone. All the female students were silent and didn't say hello at all, but the male students who had the courage immediately invited Reina to meet them. Reina answered as needed because she was still adjusting to the class.
The man of Korean American descent is named Lee Jackie. The handsome and accomplished man in the class and his contemporaries said that Lee was the best. Lee is smart, handsome, friendly, and becomes an idol in the class. Almost the same as Sebastian, but more friendly and warm. Lee is also tall and built like a Korean artist. Unlike Sebastian, who is muscular and stocky. Of course, in the beginner class, it's different from Sebastian who will soon graduate from that school. Lee stood up and approached Reina. "Hi, my name is Lee Jackie. May I introduce you?" Lee asked gently while extending his hand to Reina.
Reina also welcomed Lee's outstretched hand and got acquainted. "Nice to meet you. My name is Reina Smith." Reina's sweet smile could not be forgotten by Lee Jackie from the very beginning when he saw Reina enter the class. Of course, this annoyed many students because Lee moved seats to accompany Reina, who was a new student. Lee who initiated the approach was clearly seen by the jealous students.
