Chapter 3: Chapter 2

(/Korean has dashes on both sides/)

-Jeon Jeongguk-

"/What the fuck are you doing? Get back here!/" Seokjin's words no longer meant anything as I stood, transfixed. Her tattoo… it was… my other half!

The girl was now turning around to see the commotion that was going on.

"Hi," I said shyly. "I think that we're soulmates."

She looked at me weird, confused. Then she looked at my arm. I rolled up my sleeve and placed my tattoo next to hers.

"Woah," she breaths, "I can't believe I finally met you."

"/Jeongguk-ah, we got our stuff. Let's go,/" Jimin calls.

I nod, still mesmerized by the beauty of the completed image, the image I've always longed to see, the image that is finally a reality. I can't go, I simply need to continue talking to this girl. Hoseok runs over and tugs on my sleeve. "/Come on,/" he says, "/Just get her number. We need to leave soon for the sound check!/"

"I need to go," I say.

-Lee Hana-

My soulmate.

I finally met him.

He is beautiful. He was tall, muscular, with god-crafted features. This man is my soulmate. How unbelievable

His name is Jeongguk. What a familiar name, huh?

But he has to go. Six people were with him, and now they all need to go to a sound check. Were they performers of some kind? What if they were famous? Would he look down on me? No, I can't think that way, that's stupid.

I gave him my phone and he gave me his number. When I got my phone back, his contact name as jeongguk♡. I'm happy. I finally met him. He likes me.

"Bye!" Jeongguk calls. "Call me!" He runs off, out of the shop. His head was bowed down, and I could tell that he was going to cry.

I felt for him, but I am not a generally emotional person. My heart wanted him, wanted to see him again, to spend more time with him, but I needed to push it down. I clean up after myself and go outside. I breathe in the fresh air and sit down in my car, getting ready to drive back to Amber's place.

I decide to shoot him a message.

To: jeongguk♡

hi

Once I get home, I received a text from Jeongguk

From: jeongguk♡

From: jeongguk♡

To: jeongguk♡

From: jeongguk♡

"Whoooooo are you texting? Is it your booooooooyfrieeeend?" Mia giggles as she tries to peek at my phone.

"Well, I kind of found my soulmate this morning," I smile shyly.

"Wow," she says. "What's he like?"

"I barely got to talk to him since he had to go somewhere," I explain. "We are going to meet up ALONE in ABCD Park. I know that sounds sketchy, but I promise I'll be careful."

"Oh, okay," she says, "I hope everything goes well."

Irene yells for everyone to come to eat dinner. She always makes incredible food, and this time she made her trademark ramen. Everyone congregates at the round kitchen table. "Guys," I say, "I found my soulmate."

"Really?" asked Lisa, "How are we going to tell Felix?"

"I'm not sure," I answer. "I'll try to be civil with him, and be honest. Even if he is my romantic soulmate, Felix and I could continue to be friends. Felix is a kind and considerate person, and he'd be able to cooperate and make everything work out."

For the remainder of the day, I hung out with my friends, chatting, laughing, just generally having fun. And then it was 9 pm. I tried to dress nicely to meet him. I usually wear a hoodie and jeans everywhere, but Amber let me borrow her blouse and flats. Irene french-braided my hair.

I took a deep breath and stepped outside, the cold air instantly hitting my face. I walked towards ABCD Park, all the while with trembling knees and sweaty palms. Anxiety was starting to overwhelm me, even though this was supposed to be a casual meet-up. What if he doesn't like me overall? What if I'm not pretty enough? What if he's a famous, arrogant bastard? There's nothing to protect me if something goes wrong. I walk through the park, the earthy smell surrounding me. It was almost pitch plack, with only the white moon shining the way. I stepped into a wider road in the park, one with a street light. I sat down at a nearby bench to collect myself.

-Jeon Jeongguk-

My manager drove me to ABCD Park. The entire ride we were silent, very awkwardly silent. It made me all the more nervous to meet Hana. From her reaction to meeting me, she definitely doesn't know who I am. Or does she? What if she doesn't like me for who I actually am off camera?

I leave the car and rub my hands together. I pull up my hood and put on my mask. It was dark. No one should recognize me. I walk through the park, searching for Hana. Her face is basically imprinted in my mind. I slip onto a wider, lighter road and I see her.

We lock eyes.
