Chapter 2: Future Husband
When she entered the house, a man who was a little old but handsome and had an attire of a nobleman asked her, "Will you marry the man from the Carter family? If you don't want to I won't force you." His expression clearly showed fear and worries toward his precious daughter. The lady in front of him patiently waited for him to finish his words and then replied, "It's alright dad. It's grandma and grandpa's last wish." The woman who was sitting by the side of Jordan stood up and said, "But, what about your happiness? Will you be alright living with a man who doesn't love you? Even if he doesn't love you, he is the son of Charles Hall. he must be as foxy as him." she hurriedly said. Samantha replied, "It's alright mom, Grandma and Grandpa must have chosen a perfect person for me. They would never want their granddaughter to suffer from family issues." But both of them had a displeased expression. It showed that the parents did not want their daughter to marry into the Hall family. It was mainly because Asher's father, Charles never had a good reputation in the business circle.
When they were about to close the topic a young man in his prime enters the house abruptly and shouts, "Sis! Don't marry him!" It was Chris Carter, the younger brother of Samantha who was pampered by her and was grown into a great man with good morals. The way he abruptly entered to stop his sister's decision of marrying Asher Hall showed that because of his father's character, he was also being judged by everyone. Chris was a young man, a university student who I now studying business management. Chris went inside and said, "Sis, don't marry him. You won't be happy" He was worried. Worried that his sister might face more and more difficulties. Samantha replied, "It's fine I decided to marry him." Chris tried to talk to her saying, "I can't see you sad, you are my sister and you must be happy!" But Samantha denied it by replying, "No more buts" and went to her room.
Samantha sat on her desk thinking about the marriage proposal for hours. She thought about whether she should marry Asher Hall or not as everyone was urging her to withdraw from the marriage. When she finally thought of not marrying him she pictured her Grandma and Grandpa.
Her Grandpa was talking to her when she was in her teens, he was telling her about how he met Samantha's grandma. The young Samantha was excited to hear the love story between her grandparents and curiously told that she will also have a love story that will end up with marriage. Then her Grandpa said that he will choose a wonderful man which suits his granddaughter the best. The best of the best, most perfect and most importantly a good man who will love and cherish her. Samantha, after remembering the words of her Grandpa reviewed her decision and thought of marrying Asher again.
She went towards the large portrait of her Grandparents and started talking to herself, "I'm happy that at least I can fulfil their last wishes. They were the ones who took great care of me when they were alive. I can just do anything for them, even if it means giving my entire life." After talking to herself for a while she clapped her hands and exclaimed, "But first, I have to know about my future husband!"
Samantha was not the type of person to judge someone by his looks, status or family background. She is the type of person who observes others and judges them.
Samantha picked up her phone and made a call to one of her friends. When the caller lifted up the phone she said, "Mathew, make a background check on Asher Hall and send it to me. I want every piece of it." Mathew replied saying, "So you decided to marry him?" His reply was more like he knew that Samantha would marry him as long as the other party is comfortable as it was what her Grandparents wished. Samantha replied, "Yeah. Why wouldn't I take an offer to become a member of the first Greatest family in this city?" Mathew said, "You must take care of yourself well as you are hiding this marriage and don't forget to take proper meals and have good sleep. If you dare stay up four to five nights saying that there is a problem in the gang or an operation, you are gonna get it from me." Samantha terrified replied, "Of, of course. Why will I stay up at night since you know how precious sleep is." Mathew said, "FIne. I'll mail the information after finding it." Samantha thanked Mathew for his help and ended the call.
Mathew is a detective and an important member of the gang. He assists Samantha in finding information about people and hacking into other people's accounts. He is the world's best hacker, superior to Samantha and even Asher. He is known by the name Ace in the underworld. He only has his twin, Mia, who is also a good friend of Samantha but was kept away from doing anything dangerous. She didn't know that there was a gang which was led by Samantha. Currently, Mathew's parents are missing for unknown reasons. Mathew is still trying to find them but luck was not on their side. He started learning hacking when he was just ten and grew to become the most profound hacker of his time. However busy he was, he always made time for his sister so that she never felt lonely. Mathew is also the person with whom Samantha could freely converse about her happiness, problems and also fears. She never showed any weakness to anyone except Mathew. Firstly because she trusts him and secondly because she must set an example to every person in the Bleeding Streets Gang that their leader cannot be taken down by anything.
