Chapter 9: Chapter 9: Quan Te is So Panicked!

This completely shattered the audience's understanding of soul masters. The arena was abuzz with whispers and murmurs, all focused on Lu Yuan's unbelievable spirit ring combination.

Those who had mocked him moments earlier fell silent, their jaws practically on the floor.

Davis, still reeling from his tumble, struggled to rise. His eyes were wide in disbelief as he stared at Lu Yuan's spirit rings—three purple, one black. It was suffocating to even look at them.

"Zhuyun, Nether White Tiger!" Davis shouted.

Zhu Zhuyun immediately ran toward him. When their bodies collided, a bright white light flashed, and in an instant, the massive form of the Netherworld White Tiger appeared in the center of the arena. Its ferocious roar echoed as it charged toward Lu Yuan.

"Gulp, gulp, gulp…"

"What a big kitty!" Lu Yuan chuckled, lifting himself into the air, effortlessly avoiding the tiger's attack.

Instead of drawing the long sword from his back, Lu Yuan grabbed the tail of the Nether White Tiger with both hands. With shocking ease, he swung the massive beast into the air, spinning it as if it were a toy.

The tiger spun faster and faster!

Yu Tianheng and the others began to panic. They had thought they were safe by standing ten meters away, but now they realized just how wrong they were. In Lu Yuan's hands, anything within his line of sight was a danger zone.

The referee was panicking.

The members of Xingluo Royal Academy were panicking!

And the hundreds of thousands of people in the audience? They were downright terrified!

The way Lu Yuan swung the massive tiger, no one knew where he would throw it. The entire crowd, from soul masters to ordinary spectators, held their breath, each praying they wouldn't be the unlucky target.

Qin Ming was scared out of his mind. Why, oh why, did I let Lu Yuan participate in this fight? If Lu Yuan accidentally killed Davis, the Star Luo Empire would demand their lives.

At that moment, everyone's fate seemed to rest in Lu Yuan's hands. The rapidly spinning Nether White Tiger looked like a ticking time bomb, ready to land at any moment.

In the midst of all this, the audience began to turn on the Xingluo Royal Academy.

"Where are the organizers of this fight?!"

"How could they let this get out of control?!"

"Someone stop that maniac before we all die!"

Under the pressure of the crowd's complaints, a Contra wearing the uniform of a Xingluo Royal Academy teacher appeared in midair.

"Boy, stop!" the Contra commanded.

Lu Yuan looked up, his eyes blurry. "You want it? Fine, it's yours!" he shouted, and with a grunt, he hurled the Nether White Tiger toward the Contra.

The Contra caught the enormous beast, his eyes twitching. Is this guy really just a Soul Sect?

He quickly tossed Davis and Zhu Zhuyun back onto the stage, where they landed with a thud. They were too disoriented to stand—Zhu Zhuyun clutching her ribs, and Davis vomiting from the wild spinning.

The remaining members of the Xingluo Royal Academy had no desire to fight. They stood frozen, their spirits completely crushed. How could they compete with this?

"Gulp, gulp, gulp…"

Lu Yuan, still holding his wine jar, staggered toward them. "You cowards! Why don't you just jump off yourselves and save me the trouble of kicking you?"

The result of the battle was obvious. The entire audience had their eyes glued to Lu Yuan. Labels like "drunkard" and "genius" were now firmly attached to his name.

After leaving Xingluo City, Qin Ming sat in the carriage, still trembling from the ordeal. He swore to himself that he would never let Lu Yuan participate in a spirit fight again.

By the end of the battle, the Xingluo Royal Academy had reported that Zhu Zhuyun had a broken rib and Davis had suffered internal injuries. If not for the intervention of the Contra, Davis might not have survived.

Although casualties were expected in soul fights, Davis was still the prince of the Star Luo Empire. Had Lu Yuan killed him, Qin Ming knew they wouldn't have escaped the empire's wrath.

Soon, news of Lu Yuan's feats spread across Douluo Continent, and Tiandou Royal Academy received word of the incident. Mengshenji, head of the Academic Affairs Council, immediately ordered Qin Ming and the team to return to the academy.

While the council had always viewed Lu Yuan as a genius, they hadn't realized just how dangerous he could be. Now, with his name gaining widespread attention, there was a real concern that other sects or even the Martial Soul Hall might target him.

Mengshenji's decision to call the team back brought a sense of relief to Qin Ming. The death sentence he'd felt hanging over him for the past few days finally seemed to lift.

"Gulp, gulp, gulp… Ha!"

Ding!

Detected that the host has consumed alcohol. Fourth spirit ring age +80.

"This wine is incredible!" Lu Yuan exclaimed. "It's even better than the royal tribute wine. Who gave this to me?"

Qin Ming shrank into his seat. "Uh, I'll just… step outside for some air." He didn't want to be anywhere near Lu Yuan when he remembered who had bought him the wine.

In the carriage, Lu Yuan turned to Zhu Zhuqing. "Kitty, why don't you come to Tiandou City with me? Soto City is boring. We could drink together!"

"I have things to do in Soto City," she replied quietly. Though she still planned to go to Soto City, her time with Lu Yuan had been… memorable.

"Alright then," Lu Yuan said with a shrug, not pressing the matter. "Driver! Head to Soto City!"

"Gulp, gulp, gulp…"

In Soto City, Dugu Yan and Ye Lingling supported Lu Yuan as they walked through the streets.

"This place looks nice. I'll stay here tonight," Lu Yuan announced, pointing at a rose-colored building. The sign above it read "Rose Hotel."

His eyes were fixed on the word "wine."

As they entered the hotel, whispers broke out among the guests.

"Isn't that him?"

"It's really him!"

"He looks even more handsome up close!"

Many of the guests had attended the recent soul fight in Xingluo City and immediately recognized Lu Yuan. With his distinctive wine jar and sword, he was hard to miss. His name had quickly become one of the most famous in the Douluo Continent.

"Kitty, I'm leaving tomorrow. Would you like to have one last drink with me?"

But Zhu Zhuqing wasn't listening. Her eyes were fixed on a man at the hotel counter—a tall man with long blond hair, surrounded by four women. She recognized him immediately: Dai Mubai.

Though Lu Yuan had drunk a little too much to fully grasp the situation, he vaguely recalled something important about this place. Shrugging off the thought, he decided to find out for himself.

He staggered toward the counter.

"Hey babe, I went fishing today. Wanna guess what I caught?" Dai Mubai boasted, making the women around him giggle.
