Chapter 20: XX
"Why does this school only go through shit like this?"
"Girl what do you mean? Other schools get into fights." D said.
"No, our school is known for getting into fights especially when it comes to sports." I sighed out while rolling my eyes, "But it's whatever. Did y'all text coach?"
"Yes ma'am! She knows that Darren is driving us back to the school and that Yas, D, and I are taking the T home. You're staying with Darren." I couldn't see Cat's face but I knew she was wiggling her eyebrows.
"Correction she's staying with her boyfriend." Yas said laughing.
"You're damn right!" Staying with my boyfriend. Ahh, my butterflies are back.
"I'm so glad, Diego and I were getting tired of both of y'all talking about the other one, but remained single." Cat said
"Hey!" Darren and I yelled then I looked over at him, "You would talk about me?" We both asked at the same time.
"Yea, yea I did. You were always on my mind so you were constantly the topic of discussion with Diego."
"Same with Cat." he said with a slight smile.
"Id like to jump in and say y'all have been dating since Kal's sophomore year, I don't wanna hear it." Yas said.
"Actually if we follow Darren's story* they would've been dating since his sophomore year." Cat said making me scrunch up my face.
"What? We didn't start talking until his junior year." I said.
"I actually noticed you my sophomore year, but I was too scared to say anything to you. I would watch you or look for you whenever I heard your voice, but I never had the guts to talk to you." Darren said jumping in.
"Well ain't that some shit." D said.
"I know these two are fucking morons." Yas and Cat said at the same time.
"No, well also them too, Asshole, the boys team might get suspended for the rest of the season." D said.
"Oh, that's tough as fuck." I said, "So nobody knows what's gonna happen?"
"Nope, we're gonna have to wait and see." D said sighing at the boy's fate.

"Thank you, Darren!" the three other girls thanked Darren preparing to get out of the car.
"No problem guys, but are you guys sure that you don't want me to drop y'all off at your houses? I wouldn't mind."
"No, it's ok! We'll be fine, we'll each text you, don't wanna take away your personal time with Kal." Yas teased.
I felt uncomfortable leaving them here to walk to Ashmont in the dark, "Ashmont at least, please?" I begged, making them stop and groan.
"Fine." they groaned and sat back in their seats and Darren drove them to Ashmont where they stuck their tongues out at me.
"Don't care, I wanna make sure y'all are as safe as I can get you."
"Thanks, Mom." they said reaching in the car and hugging me. I rolled my eyes watching them walk into the station.
"Sorry about that Darren-"
"Don't apologize. I wanted the same thing." Darren cut me off and I smiled. This shouldn't be as weird it is right now.
"So what're we doing?" I asked him playing with my hands.
"I don't know. We're at Ashmont in my car. What do you wanna do?" Darren asked.
"I dont know, that's why I asked." I said playing with my sleeves on my goalie shirt.
"That shirt always bothered me. Wear this instead." he said handing me a hoodie.
"Whose hoodie is this?" I ask looking over it.
"It was mine but I checked my closet and realized that I already had that hoodie so I'm giving it to you." he explained nervously rubbing the back of his head.
I sniffed it and it smelt like him so I hugged it in excitement, "It smells just like you I love it!" I squealed.
"I'm glad you do. I just wanted to give it to you which was my surprise that I mentioned earlier."
"Thank you, Darren." I squeezed it tightly I nuzzled my face in the fabric and yawned.
"I should probably drop you off home. You had a long and eventful day. We can hang out some other day, when you aren't smelly, sweaty, or tired." I rolled my eyes.
"I am feeling a little tired so it's for the best." I said agreeing with him. He nodded and drove me to my house.

"We can talk tomorrow." Darren said we pulled up to the front of the seeing my pouty expression
"I know." I said sadly, "I don't wanna leave you though."
"If you aren't sleeping when I get back to campus wanna face time?"
"Yes please." I say continuing to pout.
"Such a baby." and I smiled.
"Thank you babes for the ride and the hoodie." he nodded and I flusterly asked him, "Can I kiss you?"
"Yes." he sounded breathless and it made me even more excited to lead this kiss. So I kinda smashed our faces together and I felt him smile into the kiss.
"Little excited aren't we?" he teased.
I collected my stuff, "I'm leaving. Bye." I started getting out hearing him chuckle at me.
"Bye!" he yelled back as he drove to the front of the house to make sure I went in before driving off when I closed the door. Mommy and Daddy are sleeping so just gotta shower and relax until Darren gets home.

After a warm relaxing shower I changed into the hoodie Darren gave me and some short shorts. So warm and smells so gooooooood! I began playing around with the sleeves and taking deep breaths of the hoodie. I grab my notebook with everything involving Darren.
I ended up writing a lot when my phone started ringing.
"Babes!"
"Yes, I just got home. I see your already wearing the hoodie."
"Yes! I'm gonna be wearing this for a while!" I exclaimed and he smiled at me.
"I'm glad you like it."

A little while later I was writing in my notebook as he played video games. When I remembered something.
"Hey, Darren." I called.
"Whats up?"
"Rememeber what you said at Ashmont? 'We can hang out some other day, when you aren't smelly, sweaty, or tired.'?" I paused seeing him nod watching as he looked at me. Fell for it, "I do know an activity that leaves you sweaty, tired, and satisfied." I said with a wink.
I heard the music from the game continue to play as I saw him look at me.
"Hey Kal?"
"What's up?"
"If I tell you would you sit down on it?" he asked winking.
"Ayyy!" I said smiling.
"Ayyy!" Darren said back.
"Matching energies!" We shouted together. Moments like these make me love him even more.
