Chapter 27: Chapter 25

The alarm blared to life, ringing through the room, and was quickly slapped back to silence. Jayde hugged the pillow to her chest, a small giggle leaving her lips. She hadn’t slept more than two hours since she’d gotten back to the dorm. Her mind was going a million miles as the events of last night kept flashing through her mind. It honestly felt like she was still running on adrenaline.

After they’d kissed, they swam for another half hour, joking and splashing each other. Eventually, Ryuu had pulled her into him, running his thumb over her bottom lip again.

“Your lips are turning blue. We should probably head back.”
