Chapter 28: Chapter 26

Walking around the last corner to the grand staircase, Jayde came face-to-face with the preppy-girl-mob, the blonde from last night, their obvious leader. The other blonde and brunette in the group seemed to hang on every word that leader-blondie was saying. Jayde felt slightly bad for not remembering the girl’s name, but it didn’t take long for that feeling to evaporate.

The brunette spotted her, snapping her gaping mouth closed as she stared at Jayde. The other two were quick to catch on and snap their heads towards Jayde and glare at her too.

“Eavesdropping, little vampire?” Leader-blondie stepped forward, crossing her arms under her breasts.

Jayde was stunned into silence before having a chance to say something. She thought her species or whatever it was considered was being kept under wraps until she had full control. How did blondie find it out?
