Chapter 3: The 9 Tails Attack
After the questionable parenting event with Fugaku, we returned home where I threw myself into training… Well, I didn't train much compared to Itachi, but there was still a noticeable improvement.
I didn't train much as I had a hard time doing one thing for a long time… well, something which wasn't fun.
To get around this, I had to turn my attention to sweets. By eating them, they had two benefits for me.
1. They stimulated my brain.
2. They gave me a sugar rush, although the sugar crush wasn't pretty.
In total sugar helped me keep up with Itachi levels of training, and even helped me get a good night's sleep. My teeth suffered a lot from this, causing a limit to how much sweets I could eat being set by my parents.
Before I knew it, months passed, and the 3rd shinobi war, which had gone on for many years, ended with the 3rd hokage stepping down, allowing the new hokage to step forward.
Although my father had wanted to become the hokage, under the suppression of the hidden leaf, and the name Minato had built for himself, he lost. It turned out Minato had reached the level of Fugaku, showing just how much of a freak he was for him to just be in his 20s.
Thanks to this new hokage, Itachi and I along with countless other kids had to wait until next year to enroll in the ninja academy.
It was clear Fugaku was unhappy with not becoming Hokage, but he and Minato were close friends. Because of this, the suppression of the Uchiha lessened by a lot.
So we were set to join, the academy when we were 5 years old… but we held back on that as our mother was having a child soon. Wanting to be with her during her early few months of childbirth, we held off on that for next year.
But the next year happened to be when Kushina, Minato's wife gave birth. Like how it went down in the anime, a masked man made his move to take the 9 tails which was sealed inside Kushina.
It was the middle of the night, a full moon. It was a sleepless night for both Itachi, myself, and the new member of the family, Sasuke.
"The air feels off," I said with a bored yawn while looking at the sky. I didn't know when the 9-tail attack would happen and also didn't know if my actions affected things, so I chose to follow Itachi and not join the Ninja Academy. It would suck for the 9 tails to attack in the middle of class, and for it to just step on me… that would be an embarrassing way to just die.
"Yeah..." Itachi said while looking at the moon, and back at Sasuke who was in his hands, fast asleep.
"Alright boys, you two should get to bed." Mikoto, our mother said while opening the door and stepping outside to look at us. I looked towards her with a slight pout, but I didn't get to get a word out as Sasuke suddenly began crying.
At the same time, my sharp eyes sent information to my brain which caused me to look towards the center of the hidden leaf. They followed my gaze, just in time to see a huge shock wave heading toward us.
I quickly moved, jumping in front of Mikoto, while Itachi got behind me. The shock wave arrived, but it just paused before me, while the land around me, plus our house was destroyed.
"The 9 tails..." I said with sweat covering my forehead while looking past the dust before me, and far away, where the 9-tailed huge body stood, destroying the village.
"Let's go toward the shelter!" Itachi cried seeing me frozen there, I snapped back to reality and nodded. I had them move first, before I moved, allowing the shock wave which had stopped before me to continue moving, destroying the land behind me.
"Did you say 9 tails?" Mikoto asked with a pale face. Her friend, Kushina should have been giving birth around these few days. For this to happen, it meant something had gone wrong, leading to the 9 tails being set free. If the 9 tails were free, it meant that Kushina was dead.
Those who had a tail beast sealed inside them were called Jinchūriki, the moment one had a tail beast inside them, one would die almost instantly if the tail beast left them. This happened to even the MC of this world, as soon as the tail beast left his body, he died.
"Yes, it looks like someone with a sharingan is controlling it," I said causing Mikoto's face to pale. The fact someone with a sharingan was controlling the 9 tails was huge, ignoring the fact her friend was most likely dead right now. What would this mean for the Uchiha clan? They would take the blame for this,
"Mom watch out!" A huge piece of rock was shooting toward Mikoto who was lost in thought, she quickly looked up, and instantly her face turned pale. Even if she was paying attention, this was not something she was sure she could face had on, Jonin or not.
"Gojo!" Itachi cried while jumping into the sky while throwing Sasuke towards me, I quickly caught Sasuke, while jumping in front of my mother. I wasn't worried much for Itachi, as I heard something like this in the Light Novel, where Itachi saved his mother. Some said that at the age of 5, Itachi was already Jonin level, but of course, that wasn't true... our attack power could rival that level.
Itachi gathered chakra into his legs, before kicking the rocks falling towards us. at the moment before contact, Itachi released that stored chakra into the rocks, leading to it being destroyed. Itachi didn't stop there as he destroyed the remaining pieces of rocks, before skillfully landing on the ground.
He looked back to see if we were alright before he sighed seeing as I had completely ignored him, my full attention on playing with Sasuke who was laughing as I poked his face. I wasn't just ignoring him, I was also ignoring the huge rock that stopped before me.
Mikoto on the other hand was shocked at the sight she had just seen, she knew her children were monsters, but this? The level of chakra control needed to pull off what Itachi just did was something no child should be able to do. While most children as still learning to control chakra, her children were already equal to the likes of Jonin in chakra control.
"You have ways to go, I could have destroyed them all," I said with a smile, to which Itachi didn't bother to say anything. Instead, he wanted me to give him back Sasuke, to which I stepped backward. This made Itachi extremely displeased,
"Let's go," Mikoto said not wanting us to start fighting over Sasuke again. I stuck my tongue at Itachi, before running off, leaving Itachi extremely unhappy.
"I will go see if anyone needs help," Itachi said to which Mikoto hesitated, but although she was uneasy, she nodded as she knew her boys could protect themselves. But she took Sasuke away from me, not wanting Itachi to run off on his own.
"Watch each other backs," She said to which we nodded before using the body flicker jutsu, shooting around while searching for anyone in need of help.
Not too far away, a little girl around 5 years old stood before the lifeless body of her father. She had tears filling her eyes, just a moment ago, her father at the cost of his own life saved her. She had just moved into the Uchiha clan, being a half Uchiha, she wasn't welcomed much by those of the Uchiha clan.
Unlike her mother, her father was not a Uchiha, and for that reason, their family lived separately from the Uchiha clan for the first few years of her life. But just upon moving in, enduring the bullying of the clan, her father was taken away from her just like this? How could she take it?
Through her tears, slowly her pupils began to start transforming, turning a scarlet red. This little girl, a half-blood of the Uchiha clan, became the quickest person to awaken the Sharingan, at just the age of 5 years old.
But she didn't notice it, as all she could do was cry there for some time, before pulling herself together and running off to find shelter. There were shinobi running around, telling people which shelter was the nearest one.
She ran at full speed, but although the 9 tails were many miles away, the force of its attack easily reached the Uchiha clan resident, killing countless people. She was about to die when a building came falling towards her, but to her shock, someone grabbed her hand, pulling her out of danger.
"Thank you." She said to Itachi who nodded lightly seeing as she was okay, Itachi looked at the lifeless bodies all over the place, before looking up towards me, where I was pointing out a few people who were alive. Itachi wasted no time, going to these people to see if he could save them. I joined him, although the means we could use to save life was low right now, we could only use chakra to heal...
Oh, we were taught a lot. We couldn't do much with our bodies as we didn't want to cause harm to our still-developing bodies, so we focused our attention on stuff like chakra, kunai skills, combat, and so on. We put most of our attention into chakra... well, Itachi put most of his attention into chakra control, and I put my attention into mastering as many jutsu as possible.
We both had learned Medical-nin Skills that use chakra to heal others. it was something we had to get down before we got to be able to use chakra to enhance our attack power.
Izumi watched us work, she was sure we were all around the same age, she just couldn't understand how the gap in capability could be so high. While she was busy crying, we were out saving lives, and the comparison made her wonder if all of the bullies were right. maybe half-bloods like her were truly trash.
"I will take them to the shelter," Itachi said while picking up an old woman, and a man. With a flash, he disappeared towards the shelter, leaving me sighing at the work I was doing. No one asked me if I wanted to do this, but then again, as the son of the clan head, it's my responsibility to do this type of stuff.
"You should rush to the shelter," I said while looking at Izumi, who was stunned seeing me suddenly look towards her. Although she was confused as to why I had sunglasses on in the middle of the night, she nodded anyway and ran off towards the Shelter.
I watched her leave, before looking at the scene where Minato appeared, summoning a huge toad that fell on the 9-tailed fox. It took a moment, but soon Minato was able to teleport the 9 tails away.
'He seemed to have freed the 9 tails from the genjutsu... well, this would be mom's gift.' I thought while using the body flicker Jutsu to its fullest. I didn't need to worry about the cost of chakra thanks to my eyes, which had the same effect as the 6 eyes.
I shot through the forest at a blinding speed, making sharp turns, and in just the blink of time, I appeared where the 4th Hokage was, along with his wife and a newborn child. It was in the blink of time, as I had arrived just as Kushina had set up a barrier which blocked everyone from entering, and even trapped the 9 tails.
Minato, Kushina, or even the 9 tails didn't sense me. With just how high my chakra control was, no one could sense it unless I willingly released my aura. But I didn't want to remain in hiding, I stepped out after hearing Minato plan to use the Reaper Death Seal, to seal 50% of the 9 tails chakra inside himself, and the other half inside Naruto, since Naruto couldn't hold all of that chakra. This would kill Minato, so the two would die.
"Wait, I have a different plan," I said while stepping out of my hiding spot, shocking everyone as they didn't sense me.
"You're Gojo," Minato said while on guard, unsure if this was an enemy or friend, it could be something transformed as me.
"Yes, I'm skilled in medical Ninjutsu, seal 50% into Naruto, and the remaining into Kushina. I should be able to heal her damaged lifeforce," I said while my palm glowed with a green aura, although they couldn't see it, they could sense it.
"Just don't tell my dad about this, I will be grounded, I'm not supposed to show off my true capability like this," I said with a sigh, there were a few reasons why I was doing this. For one, if Kushina was alive, the village wouldn't suppress the Uchiha clan so heavily.
In the anime, the Uchiha clan was relocated to the outer part of the village because of this event. Kushina was also close friends with us, and with her protecting us, it would be a huge weight off our shoulders.
"..." Minato looked at me for a moment, before suddenly throwing a Kunai toward me, but the Kunai just stopped before me. Seeing this, Minato fully relaxed as only one person could pull that off.
"Where is your father right now," Minato asked while signaling me over to Kushina.
"Don't worry, he wasn't the one controlling the 9 tails. He is busy leading the Uchiha clan to save people." I said to which Minato nodded lightly.
"The main reason I'm doing this is because I noticed the 9 tails were being controlled, and the chakra controlling it was not from anyone I have seen before, but it was still an Uchiha. This was the Sharingan Genjutsu for sure, we are already not viewed in a bright light by the village, and knowing how much our clan is feared, they might push the clan too far... leading to something I want to avoid." I said shocking Minato who was doing the hand seals for the reaper Death Seal, this caused him to look at Kushina, who looked back at him.
"I rather you use a Jutsu that wouldn't kill you. So long as both of you are alive, there is a way. Further changes can be done to the seal, you don't have to die... that's even more so when you just had a child... a child that would have a target on its head since it's the new host of the 9 tails." I said making Minato pause.
"... He has a point," Kushina said feeling how her condition which was growing worse by the second began improving thanks to me healing her. Kushina had an outstanding physique, anyone else having a tail beast taken from them would die instantly. But she? She didn't just stay alive, she even was holding down the 9 tails... she was a monster.
"..." Minato nodded before going on to do the hand seal for a new sealing jutsu. I healed Kushina to the point she was alright, of course, once I left, she would start dying. Thanks to my energy control which was at an atomic level, I could do something like this.
The quality at which I could heal was just far greater than most, adding my eyes, I could see the root of the problem and fix it. I was already better than even the best medical-nin out there.
Kushina looked at me for some time, not understanding how I could be so skillful at my young age. I ignored her gaze before quickly getting up, all this time the 9 tails had been looking for an opening, but with Kushina's condition not weakening, and Minato remaining on high alert, he had no opening to attack anyone. This left the 9 tails glaring at me, to which I just winked at him.
"Hagoromo would be proud," I said mockingly, causing the 9 tail eyes to widen for a moment before it burst into rage. It moved around madly, wanting to break free of the chains holding it and just destroy me, but Minato was already done with the hand seal, and it was sucked into Kushina's body, along the way, its body split in half, entering Naruto's body.
"What did you say that made it so angry?" Minato asked with a frown, I had said it in such a low voice, that neither he nor Kushina could hear it. Only the 9 tails, with its sharp hearing, heard my words.
"Haha, that's a secret... oh, can you teleport me away? I don't want Anbu seeing me." I said with an awkward smile. Minato shook his head slightly, but he touched my shoulders, and with a flash, I teleported away.
'Not just anyone could do what that kid just did... only someone on the level of Tsunade could.' Minato thought with a deep frown. From the moment he sensed me release that green aura, he knew I indeed had the skills needed to save Kushina, but that made no sense to him since I was only 5 years old...
