Chapter 15: 15. A Secret Plan And Christian Doesn't Know
"I just wanted to thank someone, Mom. Is that wrong?" Natasha asked. Her face changed, not as cheerful as before. Her eyes suddenly dimmed.
Marry approached Natasha. She then turned off the stove because the water was already boiling. Natasha looked at Marry, the woman she now called 'Mom.' The woman who saved her life for the past five years.
"Change your clothes. I will make tea for your guest," said Marry.
Natasha was silent for a moment. She sighed as if feeling very tired today. She then rushed to the room like Marry wanted.
While Natasha was changing clothes, Mary brought tea and snacks to the living room. When she saw a handsome young man sitting in the living room of her house, Marry was stunned. Natasha never invites anyone to come to this house. This is a rare thing to happen.
Looking at the photos, Jonas was surprised when he saw a middle-aged woman coming with tea and snacks. He immediately stood up.
"No need. Please sit down. I just want to know my daughter's guests," Marry said kindly.
Jonas was very shy when Marry gave him a treat. But he only wanted to be here for a moment.
"I apologize. You don't need to bother…."
"No. I don't feel bothered at all. You are my daughter's first guest. I must treat you well," answered Marry.
Jonas frowned when he heard Marry's words. "First guest?" muttered Jonas.
"My daughter never brings guests into the house. I wonder why too," answered Marry.
Jonas smiled. He glanced at the toddler photo on the wall. "That child is now five years old?" asked Jonas. He just wanted to make small talk, but Marry's expression turned sad. Jonas also felt bad for Mary.
"Am I asking the wrong thing, Ma'am?" asked Jonas.
"Oh, No," said Mary, wiping her eyes. "You're not wrong because you don't know. He died four years ago due to problems with immunity. Since birth, he has not been healthy. Natasha was forced to let her child go back to heaven," answered Marry.
Again Jonas was stunned. He just discovered that Natasha doesn't have a husband, and now she knows that the baby she was carrying was also dead. What kind of life did Natasha actually live?
A few moments later, Natasha came out of the room wearing casual clothes. The girl looks pretty cute even though she's only wearing a t-shirt and shorts. She saw Marry and Jonas seemed to be having a serious conversation. She suspects that Jonas already knows his life.
Natasha stepped closer to them and sat down across from Jonas.
"So my mom has told you all about it. But you don't have to pity me. I'm fine." Natasha warns Jonas not to pity him.
Jonas said nothing. Unexpectedly, even though he was only doing his job to take Natasha home, he had to listen to a heartbreaking story like this.
"So you're free now?" asked Jonas.
Natasha frowned and smiled in surprise at Jonas. "Do you want to ask me out on a date?"
Jonas smiled as he shook his head. "No, of course not. I'm just taking you home. How could I ask someone I just met?"
"I'm just kidding. Why are you so serious? You're not the same as your boss, who chatters. You're quiet and very …." Natasha did not continue her sentence. He just looked Jonas in the eye.
This was the first time Marry saw Natasha peeping very casually with someone. Since living with her, Natasha has been quite introverted and moody. Looks like Natasha has a crush on Jonas. But maybe they are just familiar.

Christian is in the dining room of his parents' house. He checked his cell phone several times. He felt uneasy because Jonas had not returned after dropping Natasha home.
"Why are you nervous, Christian?" asked Linda, who was setting the dinner table. If you look at the dinner table setting, guests will be coming.
"I lost Jonas," Christian said.
Linda looked at her son. There seemed to be something she wanted to talk about, but she hesitated to say it.
"Does Jonas have a girlfriend, Chris?" she asked. "I mean, you and he are always together. I don't see him ever dating a girl. I think he has to find his other half."
Christian felt that his mother's words were not as usual. Linda rarely talks about the Jonas couple.
"Why do you care, Mom?" he asked. "As far as I know, he has a crush on Anastasia, our best friend. I want them to date because they hit it off."
Suddenly Linda sat beside Christian and looked into her son's face. "Can't Jonas be with another woman? I will introduce him to someone equal to him. As long as it's not Anastasia…."
Christian is suspicious of his mother's attitude. "What's wrong?" Christian asks. "Why are you doing this all of a sudden, Mom?"
Moments later, I heard the sound of a car coming. Christian memorized the sound of the car that Jonas used to drive.
"He's home," Christian mutters. But Bebe when another car entered the yard.
Linda's facial expression looks very happy. He also invites Christian out to greet his guests.
"Come on, let's welcome them," Linda said.
"Who are they?" he asked. But he still stood up to follow his mother out.
When Christian and Linda came out, they saw a couple the same age as Linda and Alan Gibson. They are Tina Sharma and her husband, Peter Scott. A beautiful woman, the same age as Christian, also got out of the car. She is their daughter Anastasia Scott and is also a friend of Christian and Jonas.
Jonas was quite surprised because Anastasia, a girl he had had a crush on for a long time, came to the Gibson family's house wearing formal clothes. It seemed there was something he had yet to be told.
Christian was also surprised. He didn't know that Anastasia would come with her parents. He saw his mother smiling happily. Christian also felt that there was a secret plan being carried out by his mother.
Jonas approaches Christian without saying a word. He kept quiet, smiling and welcoming the guests of the Gibson family.
"Christian, why are you silent?" Linda called her son. "You should say hello to your future fiancé," Linda said.
Hearing about the fiancé, Jonas and Christian were shocked. How could Linda not ask about this beforehand? Anastasia is the woman Jonas has liked for a long time. Christian stares at Jonas, who is just expressionless, but Christian knows that Jonas is disappointed.
"Mom…." Christian wants to ask, but Anastasia approaches and smiles sweetly at him.
"Hi, Christian. I am pleased to invite you to a family dinner." He then placed a kiss on Christian's cheek right in front of Jonas. Christian really feels guilty for his best friend.
