Chapter 64: Politics strikes again

Eve was still wondering what to make of Xia's way of irresponsible spending, when Celina come up with a blissful expression on her face and a cigarette between her lips. Both of her hands were busy holding skewers with pieces of fried meat and vegetables on them.

She wordlessly passed the skewers to Xia and Eve, took the cigarette out of her mouth with a freed hand, and grinned at them without fear of it falling out.

"Hey there and try out these delicious stuff! You got a new gun, Xia? What about you, Eve?"

Xia and Eve ate the skewered meat, which was as delicious as Celina told it was. Xia excitedly told Celina about the same thing she said to Eve a few minutes earlier, after which Eve told both of them what she learned about local prices and assortment.

"I've also found a job prospect for you, Ellin. The ad said the base's water-filtering needed more people with water-based powers."
