Chapter 9: Chapter 9
I checked the time and it was almost eight and l told her I have to leave and she saw me off and went back to her house. I walk quietly on the street and the air which was blowing felt very cold and freezing but that didn't stop me from walking back home. Within some minutes I realized someone was following me from behind and l wonder who it was so I double my steps and became cautious also.
As I try to move a step, I saw a figure standing in front of me with his eyes starring into mine.
I moved back and the figure started walking towards me breathing very fast with his skin turning pale.
You could hear him breathing very fast I couldn't see his face cause the whole place was dark but could only his blue eyes focus on me then I remembered those same blue eyes of jasper and I became more scared. Before I realized, the image disappeared and I started running as fast I could but the image appeared in front of me holding me with his hand which was really hurting me.
He felt how terrible I became and how I was hurting because of how he held me so he loosen his hands on me and stared into my eyes and said " don't be scared am not going to hurt you" I look at him and said " so why do you keep scaring me any time you get the chance to do so and besides why do you keep coming after me"
I asked him and he left me and look away " I just want to be close to you anytime I see you around" he answered " I don't know you so why do you keep following me around during the night"
I asked him but this time around he didn't reply me but rather stared into my face before talking " I wanted to kill you the first time I saw you but there's some part of me which wanted you badly and I can't help it" he said and I became scared of him more " who are you" I finally found my voice and asked him " jasper"
he answered and I became speechless cause I didn't believe all this while he was the one following me and scaring me around . " am sorry if I did scared you those days am here to make amends cause I want to be with you" he said but I didn't know he was reading my mind.
I gathered courage and walk past him and head towards my house. " Bella please listen to me " he said from behind and appeared in front of me " you know what I never liked you the very moment I saw you cause you don't seem to be comfortable whenever you see me around you"
I told him and kept walking " cause am not what you think I am" he said and held my hand " let go of me" I shouted and hit him on his chest and he moved back leaving my hand and disappeared.
I looked around but didn't see any signs of him around the place. I run into the house and saw my mom already back from her trip " honey are you okay" she asked but I ignore her and run to my room and lock myself.
I started breathing very fast and remembering the encounter I had with Jasper. " come down Bella" I said to myself while I place my hand on my chest . I looked through the window and saw him standing there also.
I closed my eyes trying to erase the moment I had with him on the street then I felt his presence around me in my room then I suddenly opened my eyes and saw him standing in front of me.
I was about to shout then he moved close to me so fast and covered my mouth preventing me from shouting. " Relax am not going to do anything to you" he whispered into my eyes and remove his hand from my mouth " how did you get here" I asked him looking furious " I thought you were not okay so I came here to check up on you" he answered and gave me a quick smile " As you can see am perfectly fine and I don't need your help" I yelled at him but that didn't stop him from moving close to me.
He pined me against the wall and moved his head close to my neck and his breath felt very cold beneath my neck. I tried punishing him away from me but this guy seem to be stronger than me so held me tightly against the wall " look at me" I heard him saying to me but I kept my eyes shut not wanting to look at him " I said look at me" he said again with a commanding voice and I suddenly opened it and our eyes met.
" I don't have the strength to stay away from you again" he stared into my eyes and I became confused " then don't" I said without knowing what came over me to say that to him.
He moved head towards my neck again and inhaled my perfume into him and jump out through the window. "did I just told him not to stay away from me" I asked my self immediately I came back to my senses. " No this can't be happening to me" I asked myself again looking into the mirror. I realized I felt different with Jasper and l didn't know what he did to me to make me have that kind of feeling again after so many months I broke up with Edwards. There's this part of me that wanted jasper close to me and the other part which dislike him.
I turned and look at his window but there's no sign of him there but only his sister pulling the curtains and closed the window. I went for a quick bath and laid on the bed with my eyes opened looking at the ceiling. I managed to close my eyes and caught some sleep.
At the middle of the night, I felt a heavy gaze on me while I was sleeping then I opened my eyes and look around but there's no one so I closed my eyes again to continue sleeping but I felt the same thing again and this time around I decided to stay awake without sleeping till the next day. After staying awake for thirty minutes, I fell on the bed fast asleep.
