Chapter 10: Chapter 10
It was already day break and my alarm woke me up. I checked the time and it Five minutes past eight and I was wondering why Alice didn't come and wake me up today as she normally does. I rushed to the washroom and had a quick shower and got dressed up for school.
I took my bag and went downstairs and saw Alice already having her " why didn't you wake me up" I asked her but she just stare at my face and kept eating " sorry sis.. I didn't wake up early today" she explained and kept eating her food.
I looked at my mom who was cleaning up the kitchen so I didn't bother her and left without having my breakfast " you gonna leave me behind" Alice shouted and run and join me and we left for school Immediately the bus came in.
We got to school and Alice left for her class and same did I . I looked around but Jessica was not in her desk and u wonder why cause she normally comes to school before I do.
" hey girlfriend" I raised my head and saw Jessica standing in front of me with her bag behind her " hi" I replied and she pulled a chair to sit by me "Guess what" she said while smiling " what's it" I asked her and started talking about a present her dad gave to her before she came to " that's why I came late"
she concluded " that nice" I said and gave her a smile then jasper entered looking miserable " hey what's wrong with that guy" Jessica asked looking at him " how am I supposed to know" I told her and kept staring at him and turned and saw me looking at him but he didn't stare at me for long and stood up and left the class leaving his bag behind.
I suddenly stood and follow him and I saw him entering the bushes behind the school and I followed him there. I couldn't catch sight of him because I was walking very fast and disappeared also.
I stood in the middle of the bushes looking around thinking I could see him around. I turned to leave then my eyes got fixed on a tree so I looked up and saw jasper hanging on the tree staring at me with those blue eyes of his. He jumped and stood in front of me.
He moved his hand close to my hair from my face " why did you follow me here" I heard him asking me with a calm tone. I looked at his hand and it became pale because of how cold the place is so I looked at his face and it became pale also. " what are you" I asked him but he didn't reply me but rather left me and turn his back to face me " I know what you are jasper" I said again " then say it … say it out loud" he said " you a vampire" I said and he moved close to me " Are you scared?" he asked me " No" I answered and look at him.
He moved towards me and held my hand in his and kiss it and jumped out of the bush. I went back to class but didn't find him there but just saw Jessica engrossed in her phone .
she saw me and stop what she was doing and came to me " where did you go to" she asked " no where" I answered her " but you just missed the English lesson Bella" she added then started thinking of the answer to give to her " ermm.. I ya.. I was in the lavatory yeah"
I told her but she wasn't okay with that so she gave me a look and said " Are you sure" " have I ever lied to you" I told her and she became convinced and kept all her thoughts to herself.
I checked the time and it was almost time to go and jasper didn't return to class after the encounter I had with him in the bush. The bell went off finally and Jessica and I walk out of the class and met Alice who was already conversing with Jasmine laughing along with her.
" hey Bella" Alice shouted and called me " Come over here and meet my new friend" she added and walk to me and pulled me towards Jasmine " Bella meet Jasmine" "hi" she said and smiled.
I realized she had that same blue eyes of that of jasper and her skin looks pale also. " hi" I said also trying to fake smile but I knew she noticed it was a fake smile I gave to her. " she's Jasper's sister" Alice blarbed out while Jessica stood at the other side looking at us.
I turned to leave then Jasmine held my hand and look at me " don't worry about him he's fine and he will come and see you when he's back" she left my hand and walk away " what was she talking about" Alice and Jessica asked " I don't know" I replied and left them.
I knew what Jasmine was talking about and how did she know I was looking for jasper. I got confused and kept walking while dragging my feet " is everything okay with you" Jessica asked me as soon as we got to the house " yes" I answered " you hiding something Bella and it high time you tell me about it" she added but I just looked at her Without uttering a word to her.
" well…. It nothing dear" I left the bag on the table and went close to the window and opened it and see if I could see him but he's not there. "why am I being concerned about him" I asked myself and left the window and sat by Jessica who was staring at me " you hiding something Bella" she said and kept staring at me " no am not" I replied pushing my hair from my face.
I don't want to tell Jessica anything cause l wasn't sure of myself and what's happening to me either. I felt like something was missing from me and I needed it badly then I remembered the words Jasmine said to me that his brother is fine so I shouldn't worry about him but what shows am worried about him besides he's not anything of mine not even a friend so just have to let go and stop thinking about him.
