Chapter 8: Chapter 8
We walked past the cinema and cross the road that leads to Oxford street and head towards our house. As soon as we got there, we saw the new guy standing in front of their house with his hands in his pocket looking at our direction but had his attention on me.
I saw him so I left Jessica and Alice and entered the house leaving the two of them behind.
Alice and Jessica were not coming inside and I wondered what was keeping them long so I opened the window and peep through and saw both of them with the new guy engaging him in some discussion. " what on earth are this two telling him" the asked myself under a low tone then I saw him smiling for the first time and this made him look cute then I smiled to myself. Within some short period, I saw them moving away from him and head towards our door.
They entered with lot of laughter and I wonder what was amusing them so I came out and stood in front of door and watch them whispering something into each other's ears without them noticing my presence " what's up with the two of you" I asked them before they realize I was watching them .
Jessica came upstairs and kept smiling the whole time " you know what darling?" she asked me " Jasper is such a cool guy and interesting" she added "jasper?...who is Jasper" I asked her " the cute hot guy just opposite this house I mean the new neighbors" she answered and entered my room and I followed her in "what about him"
I sat on the bed and asked her " nothing really ... he just told us he will be schooling with us and went ahead and mentioned his name to Alice and I that all" she exclaimed with excitement and left herself on the bed.
" Talking with Jasper was like something I was longing for and today he spoke to me am so happy" she shouted out jumping on the bed scattering the bed sheets and pillows on the bed.
" will you please stop scattering stuffs on the bed I don't have the strength to repack them again" I made her aware and she stopped jumping and sat down quietly but kept talking about jasper the whole time " Jessica shut up" I told her after I couldn't take it anymore " oh please let me exercise my freedom of speech girl" "then go out to Alice's room so that both of you can talk about that so charming boy of yours cause you making me sick already" I shout back at her and she kept quiet " thank you" I added and gave her smile.
She started talking about him after she kept quiet for five minutes. I buried my head under the pillow and place the pillow on my head preventing her noise from entering my ears.
she took the pillow off and screamed into my ears " jasper" " oh God what's this" I exclaimed and she started laughing at me " silly girl" I told her and left the room for her to do whatever she wants to do with it.
Around eight in the evening when Jessica went back home and I was left alone in my room cause Alice was busy with her laptop. The wind started blowing heavily swinging my window here and there so I got up from the chair I was sitting on and went to the window to close it.
Immediately I got close to the window, it started raining and in the rain something got my attention and I stood there watching what was going on outside.
I saw jasper entering the bush looking behind if someone was watching him but he realized no one was watching him so he disappeared into the bush. He came out within some few minutes with blood stains on his shirt.
He entered their house and closed the door behind him " what on earth did he go and do there and were from the blood stains on his shirt" I asked myself and became more curious . I raised my head and saw him looking at my direction and his eyes widened.
I realized he took of the shirt he was wearing and put on another one then I saw his sister standing by him also looking at what her brother was looking at with her dark long hair scattered on her shoulder. I closed the window and slept on my bed thinking about what I just saw a while ago on jasper. while thinking, sleep came for me finally.
" Bella hurry we getting late" Alice shouted from downstairs and I joined her and we stepped out of the house and head towards school.
We arrived in school and Jessica came to me and whispered " Jasper is in our class" she said and held my hand and pulled me inside the class. As soon as I entered, jasper saw me and started behaving strangely and he covered his month with his hand and his blue eyes turned black.
I didn't understand why he did that and why his blue eyes suddenly became black. he was restless the moment I entered the class and also I was not feeling comfortable too.
He kept looking at me while I made my way through to my seat and sat down. " what's this guy" I asked myself and pretending to be reading my journal to avoid any further reactions from him towards me.
Mr Jerry came to the class that morning and taught chemistry and he asked me to sit by Jasper which I didn't want to do but I have to obey his orders.
I sat down and he stole a glance to look at me with those scary eyes instead of blue and had his mouth covered with his hand but I pretended not to see him. As soon as the bell went off , he took his book and dashed out of the class without wasting time.
He didn't even introduce himself but that didn't bother me. " A fellow human wouldn't be feeling uncomfortable with his fellow human around him" I said to myself and pack my books and left the class also without telling Jessica what happened during the chemistry period.
" you seems to be lost in thoughts" Jessica broke the silence when we entered my room " After seeing jasper today and also sitting by him the chemistry period, you've not been yourself is everything okay with you" she asked again and I just looked at her without uttering a word to her cause she wouldn't take it serious.
" I want to sleep" I told her and she push aside for me to sleep " Could you believe Jasper's sister is in my class"
Alice barged in "oh really" Jessica asked with interest " yes she's call Jasmine" she replied and sat on the bed " that girl is so weird but she's fun though" she added " Bella was asked to sit by Jasper during the chemistry period but it like Bella didn't like it" Jessica informed her and she just opened her mouth down
" you mean Bella sat by Jasper today" she asked with surprised " how was the feeling Bella" she asked " awful" I answered her and look away from her direction " you mean you don't like that guy" " yeah" I replied.
" I guess I have to get going" Jessica jump from the bed and stood in front of the door " I want to have a stroll on the street let go so that I see you off" I told her but she refused to allow me go with her but I insisted so she had no choice than to allow me follow her.
We left the house and everywhere was quiet since it was late in the evening. We got to Jessica's house " Bella, why don't you sleep over it late" she said when we entered her room " no Alice is left alone in the house and I need to be with her .. you know my mom is not around" " oh yeah I almost forgot" she said and handled me a bottle of water while she changed into new clothes.
