Mister Garner was shocked upon seeing the situation in front of him. He stormed over to his wife and pulled her away from the rest. He furiously said to her, "What do you think you are doing? Who gave you the right to make trouble like this? Do you even know how embarrassing this is and —"

Just as he was about to tell Arabella about Nicolai's identity, the woman raised her hands and smacked Mister Garner's hand off her arm. 

She sneered at him, "There is no need for you to act all wise and innocent. I know your heart is hurting for that bitch. Gotten sweet on her, haven't you? Don't think that I don't know that you have been trying to get into her bed." 

"You are speaking nonsense! Why would I do such a thing? I am not crazy. Do you even know the man with whom she is entangled?" Mister Garner said to his wife.
