Chapter 11: Chapter 11: Future Plan

Wong Yazhu lay on her bed, staring at the ceiling. It had been a few hours after the revelation, and after that, she left her 'parents,' locking herself in the room. Wong An and Wong Su understood her reaction and left her to calm down while they went to work.

"I might have overreacted." Just maybe. That was her thought. "If I can't be Tang San's lover, I can just be his friend. I will lick his toes, stay by his side like a dog, and let him carry me to Godhood."

As for ascending to Godhood by herself? Yeah, no way. She knew nothing about how to ascend, and if she wanted to gain knowledge, she needed connections and strength, and to get those two, she needed power.

This world is ruled by power, where strength is respected, and without a backer or background, she would be an ant asking to be stepped on. Tang San would definitely achieve Godhood. He was the protagonist, and this was a cultivation novel. It goes hand in hand.

As for the fruit her God Tree might bear, Wong Yazhu wasn't sure. She couldn't rely on it as it wasn't set in stone that the fruit would turn her into a God, but Tang San was.

"I guess I just need to wait to see if it will even bear 'God Fruit,'" she thought, crossing her legs in a meditative position. The God Tree was still on the hill, spreading its roots amongst the trees to maximize its essence gain.

Yesterday, when she had looked at the forest from the top of the hill with her x-ray, she noticed that the God Tree now controlled five large trees around it, with all the other smaller trees getting drained of energy and dying. Even the grass around those five trees was dead.

Wong Yazhu couldn't help but critique the strategy of the God Tree. "It's kind of dumb," she mumbled to herself. "If it controls five trees that close together, their roots will be all tangled up, competing for the same nutrients in the soil. That's not exactly efficient."

In her mind, it would be smarter if it controlled trees miles apart. That way, each could draw from its own patch of soil, and they'd all grow better. "But then again, if the God Tree connects itself to every tree in the forest, spacing won't really matter."

The God Tree's approach might be less about nurturing its immediate circle and more about dominating its environment to maximize its own essence gain, but that would be impossible.

On the west side of the village is a pretty large forest. It wasn't dangerous on the outskirts, and wild animals hadn't invaded the village for the past five years. If you follow the man-made path into the forest, about one mile in, you will see a massive oak tree on the side. Going off the path and walking past the oak, you will start ascending a hill. At the top is where Tang San and Wong Yazhu held their daily morning practice.

If you continue through the path for five more miles, you will reach a tree painted red, and after that tree, you have entered the unsafe part of the forest. There haven't been any spirit beasts in the forest for 300 years because they only appear in certain regions, but that doesn't mean it isn't dangerous. Normal wild animals like bears or tigers still exist in this part of the forest, and it could be challenging for even a level 20 Spirit Master to win against a fully-grown bear. She had planted the God Tree about one mile after this red tree.

But that wasn't even her concern right now. Wong Yazhu jumped up from her sitting position on the bed, grinning. "I might have unlocked the Sharingan."

That's right. After the revelation that she couldn't go to Nuoding Academy, she felt her eyes itch, and a rush of cold spiritual energy flowed from her spiritual sea to her eyes. She suspected it was the Sharingan, so she rushed to her room and locked herself in. Her parents thought she was mad at them, but she wasn't angry. If their 'betrayal' made her unlock her Sharingan, she might even start liking them.

Taking a deep breath, Wong Yazhu calmed her nerves. Wanting to make it dramatic, she closed her eyes and uttered, "Sharingan."

She felt a warm rush of energy flow up from her Dantian, crisscrossing through her meridians and entering her eyes. Slowly opening them, she grinned.

The world was clear. Maybe not as much as the Rinnegan, but it was much better than her normal eyes and the Byakugan. Though not as vividly clear as through the Rinnegan, the level of detail she could now perceive was astonishing.

Each particle of dust floating in the sunlight through her room was visible to her, something her Byakugan's orb-sight hadn't managed to capture. But more startling than the clarity was the perception of time; everything seemed to move in slow motion, stretching a single second into what felt like an eternity. In her eyes, five seconds passed for every real-world second. She attempted to move her hand and found it trailing through the air as if submerged underwater. The sluggishness of her movements, the delayed reaction, filled her with a sudden panic.

With a mental command, Wong Yazhu quickly deactivated the Sharingan, her breaths coming in sharp gasps as she noted the sweat coating her body. The power had been active for barely two seconds, yet she was nearly mentally exhausted from the experience.

"Is this what all Uchiha felt when they first unlocked their Sharingan?" She breathed, wiping the sweat from her forehead with the back of her hand. "This is only one tomoe, and it's already this stressful..."

She froze.

Without thinking, Wong Yazhu jumped off the bed and ran to the window to look at her eyes in the little reflection before activating the Sharingan. Her reflection immediately became clearer and sharper, allowing her to see her eyes better.

Her irises were now blood red, with a concentric circle inside the iris in its middle. Sitting on this ring was a single tomoe, a comma or a tapered teardrop-like shape with a rounded end and a curved, pointed tail, its tail following the curvature of the limbal ring. The tomoe of her right eye appeared on the top-right, while it appeared on the bottom left in her left eye.

Staring at her eyes, she mentally deactivated them, causing the red glow to fade. 'Uncool.' But now she knew she only had one tomoe. She could only imagine how her perception of time would speed up after two or even three tomoe. 'Guess I have to train with this to get used to it.'

She could already see the hard months ahead.

"But besides that." She folded her arms. "With Byakugan, Sharingan, and Rinnegan, I basically have three powerful dōjutsu. Though the Rinnegan is still practically useless, it shouldn't be once I absorb my first ring."

"But in terms of battle prowess, I am still extremely weak," Wong Yazhu noted. She obviously needed to be above the other spirit masters to be in Tang San's friend circle. "My movement art is only for silent movement. It's only good for sneaking around or assassination."

She had learned a few martial arts in her past life, but they were all basic. However, she did have something else in mind. "Gentle Fist." With her Byakugan, it shouldn't be a problem to recreate it. As long as she knew the core concept, she was intelligent enough to 'make' something out of it.

The easiest thing to recreate would be the 'Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven.' It's just emitting chakra from all of their body's tenketsu and then rapidly repelling any attack and anything else in the vicinity away, creating a protective shield for as long as they continue to spin.

It was a straightforward technique, but after a short while, Wong Yazhu shook her head. "I would rather not cripple myself by expelling soul power through all my acupuncture points." Besides, she felt her current soul power wouldn't be enough to perform the Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven. It consumes a lot of 'SP per second' and would be dumb for a mere level-ten Spirit Scholar to learn.

"I should stick with something that wouldn't harm me even if I fail." Something came to mind. "The Trigrams Palms Technique." It was simply attacking the opponent's meridians with her own soul power, causing damage to surrounding organs due to their proximity to the soul power system.

By using the Byakugan, she could also target the acupuncture points, enhancing the havoc and control a Gentle Fist practitioner could impose upon an opponent's meridians.

It was easier said than done. If Wong Yazhu wanted to actually utilize the Gentle Fist, she would need a lot of practice with human subjects. 'That's where my parents come in,' she thought. She hadn't forgotten about them. "They traumatized me so much that I unlocked the Sharingan." Fake tears flowed down her cheeks. "I can't let those villains go."

Of course, she wasn't dumb enough to immediately start practicing on their bodies. She might just kill them. There would be three stages to this practice. The first stage is 'Soul Power Control,' which involves practicing on animals.

Animals, much like humans, possess a network of meridians and acupuncture points through which their life force flows. However, the arrangement, strength, and number of acupuncture points in the meridian systems varied significantly across different species. This wasn't a problem for her, as all she needed was to become adept at manipulating her soul power and mastering the control of her soul power's injection into an opponent's system.

Despite her lack of affection for Wong An and Wong Su, Wong Yazhu had no desire to harm them fatally before fully utilizing them for her training. She viewed this stage as a necessary measure to ensure that when she did move on to practicing on humans, she would have the precision required to apply the Gentle Fist without causing unintended lethal damage.

After that, she could move on to practicing with her sleeping parents in the middle of the night. When she was adapted enough and after her Wind Walk Stealth Track reached the second level, she would start leaving the village at night to practice with more villagers to get used to a variety of body types.

The third level would be practicing on a Spirit Master. Humans, unlike Spirit Masters, although they possess a Spiritual Sea and meridian systems like all living beings, do not possess a Soul Power Furnace or SP Furnace, nor do they possess a Dantian. That's why they can't cultivate.

So, if she really wanted to master manipulating a person's Soul Power flow throughout the body, she needed to practice with a Spirit Master.

Creating the Gentle Fist technique without practicing on a Spirit Master was, for Wong Yazhu, an impossibility. The fundamental difference between regular humans and Spirit Masters lay in their meridian systems, particularly in the unique nature of their acupuncture points. Unlike the fixed, static system found in ordinary humans and animals, the acupuncture points within a Spirit Master functioned in a binary state, either open (1) or closed (0). This dynamic system regulated the flow of spirit power throughout their bodies, akin to a computer's binary code controlling its operations.

These acupuncture points shifted between their open and closed states based on the technique a Spirit Master was about to execute, determining how these spirit powers flowed through the body. It instinctively happened without the Spirit Master's knowledge. She doubted Tang San even knew about them.

For Wong Yazhu to master the Gentle Fist, she had to learn how to manipulate these binary states forcibly, opening or closing acupuncture points against a Spirit Master's will. This manipulation would disrupt the flow of spirit power, rendering a Spirit Master's abilities less effective or, in the best-case scenario for Wong Yazhu, completely neutralizing them.

Practicing this level of manipulation required a nuanced understanding of the Spirit Master's meridian system, far beyond what could be learned from non-cultivating humans or animals. She needed to observe, in real time, how a Spirit Master's acupuncture points responded during the execution of different techniques. She had to learn how to predict their transitions and intervene with precise timing and soul power control.

This stage of practice, inherently, posed significant risks. Meddling with the binary system of a Spirit Master's meridians without a deep understanding and control could lead to severe injuries or fatal outcomes for the practice subjects.

'All great things come with a risk.' She shrugged. She couldn't possibly practice it on herself, so she needed to wait until she entered Nuoding Academy one year from now to practice on the students.

"In this year, I need to improve as much as I can." She walked towards the door. "No second can be wasted."
