Chapter 4: Ch.4 I Would Advise You to Watch Your Backs
Ch. 4
Leo's POV-
When we got to the Leaky Cauldron, what type of name is that for an Inn, we realized that we had two big rooms. We decided to split the rooms between the girls and the boys. There was a fight between who got the biggest room, the girls wanted it because they all wanted to have more space, but we wanted the room because they were more of us than them. We ended up winning because our reasoning was more valid than theirs was, and we might have also threatened them a little bit. So in the big room Connor and Travis ended up being stuck sharing the sofa bed. Percy and Jason volunteered to share the big bed in the master bedroom. I had to push two armchairs together to create my bed because I'm the shortest, Nico was only taller than me by half an inch. Frank and Nico got the bunk beds in the other bedroom.
We all went to sleep because we had a long day and were exhausted. I snuggled up under the covers waiting for sleep to take over me. I was about to fall asleep when I heard rustling and cursing coming from the small sofa bed. I honestly don't know how the two of them fit on that thing, their bond must be impeccable to withstand that.
I had fallen asleep for who knows how long, when I woke up the room was still silent and dark, it still must be dark. I was looking around the room to see what the noise was that woke me up, Then I saw one of the Stolls get up and grab two pillows and a blanket with him.
"What are you doing?" I asked the brother.
"Travis moves too much in his sleep, I can't get a good rest." Connor spoke, taking his supplies and heading to the bathroom.
"So you decide to sleep in the bathtub, why couldn't you just sleep on the floor?"
"That would mean risking getting stepped on." I just shook my head and went back to sleep. I was in a deep dreamless slumber, my favorite type, when my mind decided to wake up on its own, and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't go back to sleep.
I decided to just screw trying to catch sleep, I went downstairs to see if there was an early breakfast. When I went downstairs I found Piper and Jason sitting together. In one of the tables towards the lobby, I decided that I want to split up whatever is happening there, I have been third wheeling all my life, I was used to the feeling by now.
"What's up Superman?" He glared at me. "Oh, I forgot you don't liked being called Superman, what about ?" I teased. Piper laughed and Jason looked like his head was about to explode.
"Shut up." Jason said.
"Nice comeback Sparky." That was from Piper.
"Ohh, that was from your own girlfriend. How do you feel?" Jason just looked away, pissed. "Aww, let's not hurt his wittle feelings, we're sowwy." That just made Jason blush some more.
"Why are you up so early, we would've expected you to sleep in?" Jason asked, changing the subject.
"Sleep and I had a fight and now we aren't on speaking terms. Why are you guys up?"
"We normally get up early, this isn't anything new." Piper answered. We just hung out eating breakfast, waiting for the group to come down. It has been a while since it was just the three of us, Ever since we came back from our first quest everything has changed with us. After a while of waiting the group slowly started coming down. Everyone was here, I think.
"What are we doing today?" Thalia asked the group.
"We are going shopping." Annabeth answered and some groans were heard throughout the group.
"Didn't we do enough shopping yesterday?" One of the twins spoke, which we all agreed to the question.
"Yesterday we went school shopping, today we are going shopping for personal items." Annabeth answered making the group shut up.
"Hey, where's Nico?" Reyna asked the group. You see, I knew someone was missing.
"He must still be asleep." Jason spoke this time.
"Well why don't you go and wake him up. Leo you go up and wake him." Annabeth told us.
"Hey why me?"
"Because I said so."
"Okay Annie."
"Don't call me that." She scowled. I went up to our room and found Nico sprawled in the corner of his bed. That's when I came up with an idea. I walked up to Nico, bent down so I was near his ear and screamed as loud as I could.
"NICO WAKE UP!!" He jolted up making our foreheads collide.
"Ow, you have a hard head" I complained, rubbing my forehead.
"Sorry."
"Whatever, get ready, we are going out." He groaned.
"Do I have to?"
"Yes, I had personal orders from Annabeth to wake you up, and you don't want to defy him."
"That is true." He said, dragging himself out of bed.
"We are downstairs, come down when you are ready."
"Yeah, sure." I walked out of the room, feeling a headache coming, he really does have a hard head.
The first store that we went to was to get pets. Conner and Travis are sharing a Barn owl named Herme, Percy got a Snowy owl named Chariot, and Annabeth got a Bengal cat called Bob. Jason got a Northern White-faced owl named Sparky and Thalia got a Siberian cat called Arrow. I got a Barn owl named Flame, Piper Horned owl named Queen, and Nico got a Bombay cat named Midnight. Everyone was happy about there new pets, the place also sold toads but who would want a pet toad.
Then went to this place called Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, I think. The place was packed, with people and things. The store had everything from candy, to prank toys. Percy wanted to buy everything in the store, but Annabeth won't let him. I loved the store, it was like a sweet and prank safe haven, I learned so many tricks and I bought so many things from the store. I laughed at Percy to show him all the things I bought, of course I had hid it from Annabeth. This is going to be a good year for tricks.
