Synopsis
From a commoner in an ancient era to a world beyond imagination,
a warrior of a forgotten time blessed with a second chance.
Vanquish evils! Protect the weak!
Roaming jianghu, slaying fiends,
return to the hidden mountain and enjoy idyllic life.
---
This is a story about redemption. The fragility of humanity, but also its resilience. It is about the human aspect of immortal cultivators, the sacrifices they make and how they change and develop over the course of their journeys.
It begins with the conscription of a peasant in the Spring-Autumn period of ancient China, his hardships and friendships along the way.
When a mortal suddenly becomes immortal, what does he do with all that power?
When directionless and lost, how will he rediscover his sense of self?
This is the story of a peasant-turned-something-greater; of immortals and demons; of heroes and villains.

Write a reviewOn chap 5- liking it so far. this dude actually put in poetry which i love(chap2 i think) :D anyways chapters are nice and long with plenty to read. bits of amusing humor here and there. keep it up bro!
Interesting mix of wuxia and xianxia. New twist on transmigration trope. Very cool original take on cultivation and its power systems. The poetry is a nice touch and the character dialogues are well-written as well.
The moment I saw it was a Chinese novel, I decided to give it 5 stars. Anyways, the writing quality is good although the para's are giant. Character designing is awesome. Must be read if you love Chinese novels. [img=recommend]
A great compelling story. The author knew what he is doing and it pass beautifully to the readers. The scenes are vividly portrayed that capture my attention. Well done author.
Why the five stars rate? Just give it a try. Plot development superb, character development awesome. Definitely worthy of gifts, stones and reviews. Keep updating author, I definitely wanna know how the story unfolds [img=recommend]
Although I had a hard time concentrating, the descriptions are vivid. Characters feel real and relatable. And the world building is magnificent!

This is my first work in earnest. It details the life of a commoner from ancient China who "transmigrates" into a different world where immortals and demons exist. A large focus of this story is his cave abode, his base of operations, if you will. Too often are cultivation novels a fast paced sequence of 'fighting this dude to get this woman' or 'tripping backwards into a well that contains an invincible treasure', repeat for 1000 chapters. This is slower paced, where time is taken to meticulously craft characters and bring them to life, where cultivators are very much still human. As our protagonist cultivates himself, he also cultivates his lifestyle and hobbies, planting immortal vegetables, playing music and debating with friends. But of course, it can't just be slice-of-life. Directionless narrative is boring, after all. Once our protagonist forms his foundation, trouble comes to his doorstep, then the fun begins. Treat the first few chapters as a prologue. It's slow paced, I know, but patience is a virtue and good things come to the virtuous. *rated 4 stars in stability of updates, since I have a life :)
