Chapter 10: Disappearing (short chapter)

The first thing to do, in my opinion, was to probe my own body. I felt my ancestry was skewed, but I wasn't sure. It was as if part of me was still asleep, even though, according to Reg, I wasn't supposed to be able to perform any spells, here I was being able to perform spells. Did that mean what part of the seal had been erased? Or that I was finally leaning towards something that wasn't me anymore? I could confirm that just by discovering the seal that supposedly was on the child the angel dropped. Assuming the child in question is me then...

Thinking about Dante made me depressed. He lost the woman he loved to save the son who would die sooner or later and who, even if he were still alive, would be useless for the rest of his miserable days. The exchange wasn't quite fair, in my opinion.

That's why I wanted to get stronger. Much stronger. Stronger even than Dantalion. Stronger than the strongest of all Attila's Elite. Stronger than any superior demon and stronger than any paladin deity. I wanted the power to protect everyone I knew and everyone who needed my help. I also wanted power so I could run free through this world without worries about my life and the smaller, bigger and medium demons that got in my way.

And it was this aspiration that led me to do what I was doing.

Even though it was incredibly dangerous!

I created the orb around me to cover my tracks and began to analyze myself piece by piece. The first thing I needed to do was strengthen my human nature. Because? It was very simple. According to Reg, human nature seamlessly integrates with both angelic and demonic natures. That means I needed to prioritize my human side more than anything else. Even if that was the most embezzled part of me.

My mother was a nephilim whose mother was a greater demon and the father was a nephilim whose father was a greater demon. So I didn't even have a third of human blood in my veins. A problem that could have facilitated the weakening of the seal. So I altered that space to strengthen my human nature as much as possible.

And then the space changed. An absurd amount of liquid began to emerge from nowhere surrounding me as if I were in a huge floating uterus. Also, my consciousness seemed to be collapsing, as if I no longer had any control over what happened going forward, even though I had cast that spell. Be what he was. Anyway... I was blacking out.
