Chapter 11: Father

The bubble floated in the air as the clear liquid churned violently around the small, young body. The boy had dark eyes and black hair long enough to cover him completely. His dark skin was pale and at the same time showed a softness that almost questioned the young man's sex. If he were awake, he would be surprised by the changes in his body.

But no one knew that behind this, it appeared a bit fragile, a battle was taking place...

...

Kyran had no idea that his whole theory about natures was wrong. Apparently strengthening her human nature was not smart, as she was already intimately linked to both the divine and the diabolical natures. This meant that strengthening one was strengthening the others. Of course, that wasn't all bad. In that mysterious state he began to realize that their disparate natures were, in essence, coming from a common origin and that following that origin would grant him an even greater awakening.

The bad part was that Kyran disappeared. The Kyran boy would completely cease to exist after all natures merged and formed into a completely new consciousness. Your personality, your tastes, your way of thinking and acting would all be changed. Indeed, much of Kyran would cease to exist, but if you were to think more philosophically, everyone changed at some point in their lives and death was still a far worse fate than a drastic personality change. Also, considering the gains he would make, he could almost ignore the losses. If he had any.

Of course, he couldn't even control anything that happened, so what was the point of resisting? He was stronger than that, after all. The boy's soul was being consumed. It was one of the processes that would bring about his change. A slow and painful process...

...

Outside, the angel felt uncomfortable. Since his master got into that carriage he hadn't come out once. Even if he wanted to. In any case, her annoyance seemed to be unreasonable. He felt as if the boy who ran him was more than just a master and more like family. It didn't make sense to him, so it sure as hell wouldn't make sense to others. In any case, the boy hadn't eaten, drank or even slept in over a month. He knew that because of their connection. He knew the boy's conscience hadn't rested for a moment since he'd entered that place. He had no idea what he was thinking or doing, but he had a feeling it was extremely dangerous.

Anyway, Regence was in a bad mood and the carriage's seal couldn't be broken even by an Attila nephilin, let alone one of them. So all he could do was wait for the boy.

- You shouldn't worry so much about the brat. - Reg said a little disgusted. Looking at that angel reminded him of another angel who had once been his companion. He hated nephilim with grimoires because he himself had lost his.

- I think something's wrong with him.

- That I agree with. Since he walked in he hasn't come out and hasn't even made a sound. Besides that weird seal I've never seen in my life. And look, I know a lot of sealing patterns and this is my first time seeing something like this.

- This boy is very mysterious indeed. But I feel bad. It's like he's hurting and I can't do anything to help. – the angel's tone came out shrill. It was as if he suffered from not being close to the boy. - I don't know why I need help so much, it's just... a need of mine. Think.

- Well, that's new. You are an angel and not his relative. – At that point, Reg fell silent. The thought that maybe the angel was more than a relative to the boy formed in his head and he didn't want to leave. He began to think violently about everything he had seen in the vision years ago and wondered: what if the boy could survive that fall? He was the child of an angel after all. He was no ordinary nephilim. Thinking about it gave him a headache and he simply refused to continue. If it was true he would hide the secret. If it wasn't…well, in that case he wouldn't even have to think about it.

- What is it?! – Suddenly the angel screamed. When Reg looked at him he noticed his body glowing and fading as if his master was dying.

- WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS GUY DOING?!

Meanwhile, Kyran's soul dispersed, consumed by his three natures. At this point, the liquid that swirled it changed color, beginning to adopt a violet pattern with tens of thousands of magical symbols that merged into the empty body. The consumed soul was in the process of supplying the natures and they were beginning to merge with an even higher psychic ability. His innate powers now acted with autonomous impulses, completely unrelated to the boy's will.

At the same time the symbols entered his body through his skin, dozens of information and memories were added to the spiritual sea in formation. Memories that would be part of him as if he had lived them. Although he had lived through it all...

It had to be said that there were techniques for dispersing and creating souls. Many years ago, when demons ruled this world, they had dispersed nephilim souls and possessed their bodies. Unfortunately for them, that didn't stop their own souls from scattering due to the nature of the earthly plane. Many similar techniques have emerged following such a precedent. There were many nephilim who created spirit beings by fusing together dozens of pieces from different souls. The process Kyran found himself in was very similar. It just... it seemed that the dispersed soul itself was reassembled.

Dozens of scenes ran through his mind. His troubled and secret birth. The discovery of its origins. Lack of family support. The healing attempt your maternal grandfather employed. The stamp released by your mother. The persecution of Attila's nephilim, contrary to the wishes of his mother's family. Your desperate flight through the skies and your downfall. He saw when his innate power first manifested itself, when his infant body was about to be shattered by the impact with the ground. He saw when a couple of humans found him and took him with them. The scenes followed neatly.

Of course, his soul was still partially formed. If we had to compare her to something, it would be fair to say that he was a newborn who understood nothing of what he was seeing. Only when the soul reached a mature stage could it interpret these memories. But even so, the process continued. And continued until showing the current he.

That's when his soul disconnected from his body and watched the process from outside, like a third party. He watched as his body, strengthened by the purple liquid, began to squirm and his eyes began to flutter as if they were about to open. He knew that when it happened he would be pulled back into his body and the melding of their natures would be complete. A new soul and at the same time... the same old soul.

He also realized that the so-called fusion was different from what he expected. It wasn't like he just had a mixed nature now. He still owned all three. The human side still connected with two opposing natures, but there was a kind of understanding now. They no longer repelled each other. In fact, they complemented each other. The soul watched curiously as its link with the spellbook was remade and he saw how much the angel seemed to fear his death. As if he were too important to the creature.

- Dantalion... - the soul whispered appreciatively. - Father...
