"This place is so beautiful. I would think that I was in heaven if I did not have somebody talking to me right now." Jade said with a radiant smile as she continued to look around admiringly. Apart from the small garden that Mrs Lowrence had, Jade had never been to any other garden before and now as she walked in the company of a princess of Avianna, she felt as if she was in a dream that she would never want to wake up from.
"This is nothing as compared to Lirose, the king's personal garden. It is at the back of his quarters..I had visited there once and I can tell you l wanted to stay there forever." Celine who was twirling the rose that was in her hand said. "I did not peg the king to be a person who loves flowers." Jade said, but before they could continue with their small tour, Albert showed up from the opposite direction. "Good evening miladies." Albert greeted them with a small bow. Turning to look at Jade, he said. "The king has summoned you to meet him at the library." Jade who had almost forgotten that she was supposed to meet the king, gave a small nod to Celine and followed the butler.
*********. *********. ******"
As Celine watched Jade and the butler disappear, she looked at the flower that she was holding and then at the direction at which the woman who had given her a short company had to taken. "I hope he's serious with her. She's such a beautiful soul." She said .
As she continued to take her peaceful walk, she heard shoe clicks from behind and it didn't take her long to realize that it was her sister due to the strong smell of perfume. "Sister dearest, I saw your new friend leaving you in the middle of your tour and I thought that you would need some company. Jessica said as she increased her pace so that she could catch up with Celine.
"I don't think I asked for your company Jessica. I think your mother needs it more than I do." Celine answered without turning to look at her sister.
Her words made Jessica glare at her sister who did not feel affected because she was not looking at her. "Today I'm in a good mood. I don't think that your remarks will change it. But after I get married to prince Luke, I promise I will make your life a living hell."
Celine was the illegitimate child of the king while Jessica was the legitimate one, and though both girls were beautiful, Celine had a gentle and friendly personality which most people in the higher Society especially men, liked about her while Jessica was a complete opposite. She had grown up with all the luxury that Celine never had as she was seen like a plague in the family. Most people in the kingdom came to know about Celine being the king's daughter when she was seventeen but Jessica had grown up with people who showered her with attention and respect which made her feel superior to others as she was a princess but ever since her father died, things drastically changed and her fame among the people in the high circle decreased as most people could only put up with her because she was the king's daughter.
"Prince Luke must be a very lucky man to have you as a wife." Celine said with a coat of sarcasm in her words that infuriated Jessica. "You can be as sarcastic as you want but when he becomes a king, I will be sure to have you as my personal maid." Celine could only smile after hearing her sister's childish statement. She had heard about prince Luke who had been engaged to her sister at a very young age but she never cared about who he was as every time that the prince visited Avianna, she was always locked up in her room.
"Jessica, I will be going back to my room now. You can continue with your walk or keep me company since you have nothing else to do." With those words, Celine walked away leaving Jessica who was ready to breath fire.

"Your highness, the lady is here." Albert who had entered the library with jade on his left side said and when Alvin gave him a signal for him to leave them he did not hesitate to leave.
Seeing Albert close the door, Jade turned to look at Alvin who was still staring at the book that was on his hands. Jade who saw that the king was not ready to initiate a conversation cleared her throat so that she could talk but Alvin bit her to it. "It seems like you forgot about our agreement and decided give my cousin sister company." The king said as he closed the book and stood up. "I'm sorry your highness, it's just that I thought that you were not around." Jade said apologetically as she bowed her head. Alvin who was still taking in her words smiled when Jade looked at her while exposing a beautiful deep dimple that was on his right cheek which Jade had never noticed.
"Jade...,I don't know if it's ignorance or disrespect that makes you do the opposite of what I tell you." He said, this time walking towards Jade who looked like she was ready to run but before she could take a step back, Alvin grabbed her by the waist and in a blink of an eye, she was sitting on the table with Alvin's hands still on either side of her waist. "I'm really sorry your highness, I will never make you wait again." Jade said cousciously as she wet her lower lip out of nervousness but her words and actions made Alvin's eyes to darken. Her little action was innocent but it sparked fire that would be hard to extinguish.
"Use my name." Came his deep voice. It was a demand and not a request. His voice was husky and in as much as Jade tried to ignore it, she could tell that the man in front of her was no angel so she tried to get down but the hands that were on her waist did not let her move.
