Chapter 22: EP22

They searched everywhere and found nothing but the scent of Linn's blood and perfume in the bedroom.

"She never took him home," Bella said.

"He's too cunning. She left other men's e-mails to him so that the police would see them all as suspects. I think she got pretty angry when she found out that he was seeing not only her but also other men."

A knock on the front door nearly gave Bella a heart attack, and it squeaked. Diana squeezed his hand reassuringly and opened the door as Bella shut down the computer.

The old woman next door smiled gently at Bella. "Linn felt so bad that my favorite gold necklace broke, she gave it to me to keep hers. She said she never really wore it. But since you're her older sister, I want you to have it."

Bella started to protest, but Diana took the necklace. "Thanks. He will own it."

Diana and Bella gasped as soon as they got into the SUV again. "Why did you take it?"
