Chapter 21: Chapter Twenty One: To the registry

To the registry.

Mrs Douglas had done a PRO job for Michael's parents. They were among Heiress Angela's family waiting downstairs for the onward movement to the registry. I have been trying to get

The organizers of the wedding P&G, had gone around to intimate the locals along the coasts about the cruiser's route and the reason for the august sail along their coasts.

It has reached 95% completion but the Heiress requested an addition: Her statute and Michael's atop the ship. The swimming pool, and the elevator, were like the great Titanic. Hence, the name Titanic-like cruiser, but in the number of elevators, differed. It has three.

Heiress Angela waved her head to sympathize with the 100 bride's maids who volunteered.

Why, because they may remain unmarried. Unmarried, because they would become instant celebs and men may be scared of even coming close to them.

Of course, it was such fear that at first, limited

Michael and his people of Upingting and Kimberly.

Michael and Angela locked arms and descended the staircase of the castle like a son and a daughter of the gods in love.

Michael's physique was athletic and his high height was awesome, like divine hands measured their height before their creation.

He had one hand in the pocket of his pair of trousers and his suit hugged his body and he was a feast to the eyes with the pair of dark glasses decorated his long and hard face.

Heiress Angela's green gown flowing down to her toes was tight at her flat tummy with blue diamond studs around the neck and rounded the tummy like a prize fighter's belt.

A car was running like the driver was escaping from the enemy's bullet.

Dr Laila screeched the car as the couple's car door opened.

She dashed out and pulled Michael's arm." You! Where do you think you are going?"

Her intensity to unlock his arm with Heiress Angela creased brows and widened eyes.

"What is she up to ?"

What a rough play!

Their mouths gap with wonder, and her husband yelled." Laila! "

"This marriage won't hold, I swear." Dr. Laila held Michael immobile.

"What's the problem!?"

Questions and doubts here and there. She beckoned a child in the car with a hand and joined the hand again to hold Michael tighter.

"That is his daughter!" she dropped the bombshell.

Heiress Angela was falling, falling...

Two bodyguards rushed in. An ambulance sirened in. Harrison Manuel squeezed into the ambulance.

"What a devil's handiwork?"

"I don't understand. What is she saying?

"When?"

"When he never married Heiress."

Who is at fault now?"

"But she wouldn't have gone to this extent. It is embarrassing."

It's very wrong," Mrs Douglas added her voice"She is my friend but what she did without the husband's knowledge is bad."

"She has to go."

"What of Michael? He didn't tell his wife the truth.

"You won't come out of this if anything happens to the Heiress!" one bodyguard jabbed Dr. Laila.

He pushed her into a vacant room and made her sit on the floor.

"By the way, do you have a DNA to prove it? I asked the young master. She was embarrassed like everyone. No DNA no any evidence." the bodyguard said.

" What was your intention, Laila for this kind attitude?" asked Harrison Manuel.

"Harrison. I did not intend to embarrass your daughter. But I intended to stop him before they said 'I do.' "

"For the wedding of Nene not to hold. This is sacrilege."

"So, the father of my daughter's wedding Nene is not sacrilege?"

"When exactly did this happen? Why didn't you marry him? Is it now that he has to be a good father and husband ?"

Harrison Manuel summoned Mrs. Douglas and Prof. Peller

"My lady and my gentleman. Please, what advice, do you have?" he asked.

"Harrison. Divorce her. She is a fry in the ointment. " said Prof Peller. "You know why?" he asked" Without her as your wife, you and your daughter had peace. She would have married whom she wanted but with the look of things, Heiress cannot marry Michael with her here."

Harrison Manuel shifted his eyes to Mrs. Douglas.

"Despite that Laila is my good friend, and Michael my relation, I will say what could do if I were the subject."

"Okay."

"Michael was coming to the castle. She met him introduced herself and told him they had an affair which resulted in pregnancy and so on. Michael was not aware of that till last week."

Harrison Manuel asked Dr. Laila her intention.

What would she say?

Chapter 22: Chapter Twenty-Two:Nene will decide

What was it you have done, Lai?" Harrison, her husband asked her. A very embarrassing act. Had he known that their marriage would put a sword through her daughter's heart?

He took in a sharp breath and extinguished, waving his head. A picture of a man ensnared by his desire.

Since the incident, he had tried to reach a decision, every line of thought was like a rope tied by the devil, no ending, but it goes around and around.

Should he divorce her? She has a child with Michael. My son-in-law is the father of my stepdaughter. Should I wait for Nene to decide? A little girl overwhelmed by a situation that overwhelmed her father! What would she say? Had she seen this shameful act once to say that experience would be her best teacher?

"Harrison, stop gnashing teeth, okay? I will go," said Dr Laila.

"Don't be silly! Is that what you tell me?" Harrison said, peeved.

" Harrison. I didn't want Michael to have a stake in your family. "

"Just that?" He grimaced

Her silence was heavy, pressing down her real reason.

"Lai. Just that? No other way? Had you buried what happened in the past, who would have known? " Harrison was bitter for what was now made known was like a broken bottle. The damage is irreparable.

"Michael. O'God! "Laila's fist quivered "Michael does not deserve to live!" she cried.

"Why did you allow him to live all these years, Lai?"

"Michael impregnated your daughter, Harrison!"

"Are they not supposed to?" asked Harrison.

"Barbara!Barbara!"

Tears rolled down.

"What do you mean?"

Seeing that repeating what she said would be unbearable to Harrison,

she walked up and flopped on the bed, wailed, wailed, wailed.

"Repeat what you said." Harrison sat on the bed. "Lai repeat what you said."

"What do you want me to repeat? You heard me. Harrison, you heard me!"

"She is not my daughter," said Harrison.

The denial turned a key in her and she jumped. To say she flayed up was an understatement.

How she gripped Harrison's shoulders, quaking him, she would have devoured him.

"Don't get physical, okay?" Harrison stopped her, forced himself off, and sat up, walking away, said to nobody in particular " When Nene recovers she will decide the way forward."

"Barbara is daughter, Harrison !" Dr Laila stormed out of the bed before he went out.

Harrison turned." I have not looked at the result of the DNA. "

"You can't run away from it, Harrison."

Dr Laila widened her eyes at the door, in front of Harrison and knotted him at the neck.

Harrison Manuel smirked.

The anger of a woman who felt scorned, so it is but the truth is bitter.

For shifting her blame, Harrison did not want to step down

" Nene will decide if she needs a step-sister. I am not standing for her but her relationship with Michael will decide." he said with finality.

"Harrison. There is no vacancy for Michael here. I don't want to say all the damage Michael has done"

"Say it all Lai. For me to know what to do."

"Harrison"

"I am hearing."

"My relationship with Michael was a passing event. It was not an affair. But him knowing he has a daughter with me and went ahead to date Barbara. No!"

"Are you and your daughter so low as this?"

" Harrison. Don't insult me. If you were not careless, would I have been lonely? I am divorcing you. But your daughter remains your daughter."

A call came for Harrison Manuel. It was from his sister-in-law, Agnes.

" Nene is back."

Hearing that, Harrison Manuel came down, hurried to Heiress Angela's apartment.

About two hours ago, he was with her.

He did not ask her anything and he stopped her saying anything until she recovered.

Her peace was his concern. The only child, knowing that she needs a brother, an heir to represent her father when he passes to the beyond, she waited for the man with whom her heart believed she would accomplish her life desire. An adopted son-in-law.

And a bad wife, a whore, a stepmother cut her dream short.

Harrison Manuel said it was his fault. She exempted him. " No, Dad. Would you stay alone? It was her fault" she told Harrison.

Her faults became many with Barbara becoming pregnant. Harrison's fault loomed large by being the father of Barbara. A secret his late wife did not know.

Now, she would know it, coupled with the saddest that happened. Mehn. It is too much.

If it were only that she discovered or was told that Barbara was her stepsister, no much qualm, men are not woods.

"Where is Michael?" she asked.

" He is still locked," they told her.

"Where is Dr Laila?"

" She is in their apartment."

"Bring Michael and call her."
