Read to chapter 42, so far so good. I was craving some villain novels recently so I decided to check on Webnovel, conveniently saw this being recommended and gave it a try. I like the MC’s character, scheming, calm and collected plus cold blooded. Also the system is good, I’ve read some villain novels where the author just doesn’t know what they are doing. However there’s one problem, which is the charm stat, it got maxed, but it may as well not have been. There’s been no difference. Like literally no one has commented that he got better looking. I hope the author addresses this point soon. Anyways other than that, if you’re into villain novels, then this is it, give it a read.

Writing quality: fair. There are noticeable mistakes, but they don’t take away from the story. Updating stability: abysmal. If you go into this expecting to hit the 8 chapters per week release rate, prepare for disappointment. Story development: solid. While the “villaintagonist” isn’t very genre-savvy, the story works. It’s obvious that the author put a lot of effort into his plotting and prewriting, rather than simply writing by the seat of their pants. Character design: outstanding. The story may fit into a neatly designed box, with all of the tropes and archetypes you expect, that trope and archetype usage is intentional and borderline satirical. What sets it apart is the actually intelligent MC, which is always a pleasant surprise since most of the MCs I see would lose in an IQ contest against a box of not-particularly-bright rocks. World background: bog standard. The world is modern-day China, so expect the standard world that you see in pretty much every modern-day novel. Overall: the lack of regular updates really hurts this novel. It’s good enough that I really want to read more, to the point wheee I’m considering paying for privilege, but the lack of updates would make that pointless. After all, the difference between waiting for chapter 79 and waiting for chapter 109 is virtually nothing, except waiting for chapter 109 will cost me quite a lot of money since privilege may run out and need to be repurchased before the new chapter is released.

Really liked the novel, but there has been too many issues lately i dont know if the author just post the chapter he copied from his stockpile in microsoft words without looking at the chapter and then posted it, but the spacing is literally all over the place. 1 chapter per day with the most minimum words 1500-2000, just so his contract works with the webnovel policy, idk if the author has job outside and the novel is just a hobby or what, to those reading this novel i just suggest u give up expecting 8 chapters per day cause author cant do that.

Finally, a really great work in the genre. Yes, the idea is far from new, but its execution is perfect! All actions are as logical as possible! There is no water at all! And the most important thing is that our MC does not spend about a thousand chapters to kill the very first main character in the book, which most authors of this genre like to sin. Here for the first 100 chapters, our MC managed to kill already two main characters (unlike his colleagues, who really can not kill the very first and basic main character for 1000 chapters). In short, it's just the perfect urban enhancement novel

Excellent, there are a few typos here and there, or repeated sentences i.e. master of protag's master of… Plot is flowing properly. MC is active rather than being passive and handling one situation at a time. MC is cutting off paths before they develop and planning the appropriate countermeasures in advance for the necessary points. Well written flow is excellent, MC is a proper villain i.e. oh can you help me with this? No! Oh, you assumed I was asking as such thank you for your assistance. Hahaha
