Nina's POV
The rumbling thunder woke me up. I opened my eyes and looked out of the window, only to see the dark clouds getting denser and denser.
"Henry, I have a bad feeling." I wanted to turn around to look for Henry, but there was no one else except Lola. He had left? When? Henry's expression last night emerged in my mind, and the feeling of uneasiness grew stronger.
I sat up, put the coat over my shoulders, looked at Lola, who was still asleep, and wondered if her death was the only way to kill the sea snake once and for all. If so, I couldn't do it whatsoever. I would die protecting my daughter. I made up my mind and stroked Lola's face. "Don't be afraid. I will always stand in front of you and fix everything for you."
