Chapter 4: Gift
Lenin is lying unconscious.
Master Gareth touches his head, and as soon as he does, Polin awakens in the boy with a roar.
"aaaarrrrrrhhhh"
Master Gareth is shocked, "Both of them are blood-related!!! This is the only explanation for why Lord Polin is here instead of the boy dying. But how can this be? Damn it, this is going to be tough now."
"So that is the reason why you were trying to save him so badly, huh?" Master Gareth remarks.
Then both of them clash with their full potential. Every time Polin punches Master Gareth, he blocks it.
After a while, Master Gareth is tired, "You cannot be better than me in combat."
"I was thinking the same," Polin admits, out of stamina.
Polin kicks Master Gareth in the stomach, getting a punch in return. Then Master Gareth punches him in the stomach and kicks him hard.
Polin gets on his feet, comes at him with full power, and kicks him on the neck, but Master Gareth blocks it. Polin falls back, attempts another kick to the face, but is blocked again.
This time, Master Gareth grabs his leg and throws him far away. Polin seems to be in trouble this time, and Master Gareth isn't stopping, despite his fatigue.
Polin thinks, "Kid, I can't let you get executed just because my blood is running through your veins. I can't lose today. I just can't."
"You are a tough one. You almost got me. But it is over now," Master Gareth declares.
Polin stops a punch from him and falls back, determined. "I'll use all the strength I have to defeat him. I have to beat him. Whatever it takes."
Polin punches Master Gareth, who falls. Polin then sits on him, repeatedly punching him in the face until he loses consciousness in Lenin.
Lenin wakes up, finding himself alone in the fortress with no signs of the earlier bloodshed.
"Hey old guy, are you there? Where are those weird guys? How do I go home?"
Polin appears.
"Don't worry. I have managed everything."
"Then let's go to school," Lenin suggests.
"About that. I will not be able to go with you."
"Fine, just show up in time during my exams," Lenin requests.
Polin sadly replies, "Sorry Lenin. I will not be able to do that either."
"What! Why?"
"I used some of your strength during battle; it will cause you to lose your ability to see me for a while. I am sorry," Polin explains.
Lenin thinks, "So I am going to fail again then. Shit."
Polin puts his hand on Lenin's head.
"Are they back?!?!" Lenin becomes alert, thinking the bad guys are back.
Polin smiles, "No. It is just that you are a good boy. Study hard and always try to be better."
"Hey, you are vanishing away."
"I am not vanishing away; you are losing your ability. Here, take this; it is a gift," Polin says.
Lenin takes the pyramid-shaped object, seeming a little angry.
"Dunno what it is, but thanks anyway."
"Now now, don't be angry with me. Take care, Lenin," Polin advises.
Polin vanishes away, and Lenin bids farewell.
"Goodbye,"
"Grandpa."
