Chapter 107: I Don't Really Get Ninjutsu!

Uchiha Yi quickly returned to Konoha using his Fire Release teleportation ability.

From leaving Konoha, capturing the Three-Tails, and returning, the entire trip took less than a day.

Such efficiency would make even an ambitious businessman like Jeff bezos tempted to recruit him, offering lucrative "small goals" to sway him to the corporate world.

Unfortunately, his signature fire techniques were far too distinct, too easy to recognize. During his mission, Yi had even locked eyes with Ao of the Hidden Mist from a distance. He suspected Ao had already figured out his identity.

Still, the mask he wore gave them both a way out—a way to avoid immediate confrontation.

"Looks like there won't be many chances left for me to cosplay as Obito," Yi lamented. Losing that little joy in life left him feeling somewhat deflated.

"Captain, you're back!"

Karin, with her keen sensory abilities, instantly distinguished between Yi's true self and his shadow clones. Without hesitation, she ran up and threw herself into his arms.

"Mm," Yi responded calmly, his expression neutral despite her enthusiastic greeting.

"Captain, can you train us this month?" Karin asked sweetly, her tone laced with a hint of pleading. "We don't want to embarrass you during the exams."

She was playing the part of a cute little sister perfectly.

Even though Yi knew it was an act, he didn't want to ruin the mood.

"Train you?" Yi echoed, a bit caught off guard.

To be honest, he didn't think he was qualified.

Aside from his reliance on the system's "cheat codes," his understanding of ninja techniques was superficial at best. Despite years of study, there were still gaps in his knowledge.

Teaching others? He feared he might do more harm than good.

The thought of becoming a "mediocre teacher" like the infamous one in the pirate world crossed his mind—wasting three years training a disciple who only learned the basics of Haki, while a single session with Rayleigh achieved far greater results.

Yi didn't want that label attached to him.

His first instinct was to refuse.

But then he remembered the collection of techniques he had acquired from Orochimaru—an arsenal of forbidden jutsu and high-level techniques that could prove invaluable.

If his own abilities were too unique to teach, perhaps these traditional techniques could bridge the gap.

"Fine," Yi finally said. "But let me be upfront—I'm not an expert on ninjutsu."

He paused, then added, "I can provide you with resources, though. Whether you succeed depends entirely on your efforts."

Karin's eyes sparkled with excitement, while Haku and Hinata also seemed eager to learn.

---

Yi led them to an open area, one that was once the Uchiha clan compound. Now, it was little more than rubble—a stark reminder of his own actions during Konoha's destruction.

Although Konoha had rebuilt much of its infrastructure, this area remained untouched, a silent monument to the past.

Yi spread out a large scroll, revealing its contents: a collection of forbidden and advanced ninjutsu he had obtained from Orochimaru.

The sight left the trio stunned. Rows of densely packed techniques filled the scroll—each one more alluring than the last.

"You've got one month," Yi said. "Pick one technique to focus on. Any more than that, and you'll be spreading yourself too thin."

"Yes, Captain!" they chorused, eagerly diving into the scroll's contents.

---

Minutes turned into hours as the three agonized over their choices. They wanted everything but couldn't decide on anything.

Yi watched their indecision with growing exasperation.

"Enough already! Let me pick for you," he said, stepping in to end their dithering.

For Karin, it was an easy choice: her Uzumaki lineage made her a natural fit for sealing techniques. The Adamantine Sealing Chains, in particular, seemed tailor-made for her abilities.

Haku was trickier. Though his Ice Release bloodline was incredibly versatile, Haku's gentle personality made him averse to destructive techniques.

"Captain," Haku said softly, "I'd like to try learning the Flying Thunder God Technique."

Yi raised an eyebrow. "You sure about that? This is one of the hardest techniques to master—so difficult that only two people have succeeded since its creation."

"I'd like to try," Haku said, his determination unwavering.

"Alright," Yi relented. "But if it doesn't work out, we'll find something else for you."

Finally, there was Hinata. The shy Hyūga heiress had always been reserved, almost too timid for the harsh world of shinobi.

"Pick something practical," Yi said, sensing her hesitation. "You need a technique that suits your Byakugan."

Hinata fidgeted nervously, unsure of what to say.

Yi sighed, realizing this might take longer than expected.
