"Lord Yemma, we wish to travel to King Kai's planet to seek his guidance in training."
Without any hesitation, Yuujin directly expressed his purpose to King Yemma.
As expected, upon hearing Yuujin's words, King Yemma appeared visibly surprised.
"You wish to train under King Kai?"
"Yes, we humbly request your assistance, Lord Yemma."
Looking at Yuujin's calm but respectful demeanor, King Yemma fell silent.
With his keen eye, he could see that Yuujin was extraordinary and had no issue with him seeking training from King Kai. However, Goku and Chi-Chi, standing beside him, clearly seemed less capable, especially Chi-Chi, whose strength would likely struggle against the heavy gravity on King Kai's planet. This was practically a joke!
"You want to train with King Kai, but are you sure you want to bring them along?"
"Training under King Kai is grueling and intense. Girls like them may not endure it," King Yemma remarked, glancing at Goku and Chi-Chi.
Before Yuujin could respond, Goku and Chi-Chi had already taken offense.
"Hey, don't underestimate us, old man!"
"Yeah, yeah, Chi Chi and I am super strong!"
Clenching their little fists, Goku and Chi-Chi protested angrily.
King Yemma couldn't help but chuckle, thinking to himself, "I can see what you're capable of, you little girls. Not satisfied, are you?"
Just as King Yemma was about to say something more, Yuujin's voice finally rang out.
"Goku, Chi-Chi, show respect."
"Rest assured, Lord Yemma. I have my own arrangements for Goku and Chi-Chi. If they can't keep up with the training under King Kai, I'll bring them back myself," Yuujin assured, giving Goku and Chi-Chi a brief scolding.
Yuujin had, of course, considered the same issues King Yemma had raised. He wasn't too worried about Goku, but Chi-Chi would indeed face challenges.
However, as Yuujin said, he had a plan, and there was no need to disclose the specifics to King Yemma.
King Yemma, realizing there was more to Yuujin's words, frowned. But since he had already given a friendly warning, he decided not to pry into their plans.
"In that case, proceed."
"Take them to the Snake Way," King Yemma instructed a nearby attendant.
"Yes, Lord Yemma!"
…
"Honored guests, this is the Snake Way."
Under the guide's lead, Yuujin and his companions soon arrived at the entrance of the Snake Way.
The Snake Way was a narrow, winding path constructed on the back of a stone serpent, stretching endlessly, with no end in sight. Below the path was a vast sea of clouds in a golden hue, creating a majestic scene.
"This snake is so long!" Goku exclaimed.
"Yeah, it looks impressive!" Chi-Chi added, eyes shining with excitement.
"As long as you make it through the Snake Way, you'll reach King Kai's planet. But the Snake Way is over a million kilometers long. It's said that only King Yemma has managed to complete it."
"Also, be careful, the path is suspended over Hell itself. Don't fall down there," the guide cautioned them with apparent concern.
"Thank you; we'll be careful," Yuujin replied, though he was already well aware of these things.
With a chuckle, the guide bid them farewell and headed back to report to King Yemma.
Watching the guide leave, Yuujin and his companions turned back to the path, feeling a bit excited.
"Hey, Yuujin, do we have to run from this snake's head all the way to its tail?" Goku asked, bouncing with eagerness.
"Yes, the other end of the Snake Way leads to King Kai's planet, our destination."
"But running would be too slow; let's use the Sky Dancing technique to fly over it."
Yuujin then looked at Chi-Chi.
"Chi-Chi."
"Mmm!" Chi-Chi quickly understood, hopping onto Goku's back and nuzzling her head against her, her sparkling eyes curving into a happy crescent.
"Chi-Chi!, I can't carry you, I am not big like Yuujin, go sit on his back!"
"Tsk" Visibly sulking Chi-Chi stuck to Yuujin"s back with teary eyes.
"This Girl"
"Goku, let's go!"
"Yes!"
Without further delay, a clear energy erupted from both Yuujin and Goku, enveloping all three of them as they soared into the sky.
The Snake Way stretched a million kilometers. To put it in perspective, Earth's equator measures only about 40,000 kilometers in circumference, so traversing the Snake Way would be like circling the Earth 25 times!
This would be an insurmountable feat for ordinary people, but for Yuujin and his companions, it was manageable.
If Yuujin wanted, he could probably cross it in half a day at full speed!
However, there was no rush to save the world or anything, so they could afford to take it easy and fly at a relaxed pace.
Two days later—
"Yuujin?"
Noticing Yuujin suddenly stop, Goku quickly came to a halt midair.
"This should be the place…" Yuujin muttered, surveying the surroundings.
By his calculations, they had flown about a quarter of the Snake Way's length, and here was something he was eager to obtain.
In the original Dragon Ball series, when the protagonist Goku first traveled along the Snake Way to reach King Kai's planet, he dozed off and fell into Hell below. There, he happened upon a Divine Fruit that granted him a significant power boost, allowing him to complete the journey quickly afterward.
Such a power-enhancing fruit was definitely something Yuujin desired!
Of course, another reason was for Chi-Chi.
Although Chi-Chi had remarkable potential, Yuujin had high hopes for her. But as she was now, even bearing the gravity on King Kai's planet would be challenging for her, let alone undergoing any training. However, if she could consume an Esenji to boost her strength, everything would fall into place.
This was the plan Yuujin had in mind!
He hadn't mentioned it to King Yemma because the Esenji was a rare treasure only meant for King Yemma's consumption. Since it belonged to King Yemma, obtaining it would essentially mean they'd have to steal it, and no one would openly declare they were plotting to steal from the owner himself.
Certainly not!
But if you're good at sneaking, who would ever know you're a thief?
With that thought, a sly, greedy smile appeared on Yuujin's face…
