"Wood Release: Bags of Holding Technique!"
With Tang San now unconscious, Su Ming shifted his attention to handling Yu Tianheng, Dai Mubai, and the others. In the next instant, several massive wooden hands erupted from the ground, firmly gripping Yu Tianheng and his teammates, while tossing Yu Tianxin and a few other uninvolved members of Thunderclap Academy off the stage.
Yu Tianxin and the other uninvolved members hadn't participated in the ambush on Su Ming and his team, so Su Ming let them go. However, his target now was clear.
"Su-Su Ming, what are you planning to do? Our Thunderclap Academy has already lost!" Dai Mubai stammered, his face pale.
Yu Tianheng, realizing Su Ming's intent for revenge, turned to Yu Xiaogang, pleading in desperation, "Uncle, please surrender! If we concede, Su Ming won't be able to touch us!"
But before Yu Xiaogang could respond, a deep, cold gaze bore into him.
"Yu Xiaogang, if you dare to make Thunderclap Academy surrender, I'll waste no time in destroying Tang San's spirit energy and his Twin Spirits—even if Tang Hao is lurking nearby."
Su Ming's words, though spoken calmly, rang out across the arena with a deadly finality. The crowd sensed his resolve, watching as Yu Xiaogang's internal conflict played out. The choice was clear: his disciple or his nephew.
Yu Xiaogang hesitated, then, after a few moments, gritted his teeth and lowered the white flag in his hand. He'd chosen Tang San.
The audience wasn't surprised. After all, Su Ming's words hinted at the risk of Tang Hao's retribution. If Tang San were ruined due to Yu Xiaogang's actions, the first to pay the price would undoubtedly be Yu Xiaogang himself.
"Forgive me, Tianheng," Yu Xiaogang said, looking at Yu Tianheng with a pained expression as he forced tears from his eyes.
"No! Don't! Uncle, you have to save me!" Yu Tianheng cried out, his voice trembling with terror. Realizing his pleas were futile, he turned to the referee and spectators, shouting, "Referee! I surrender! Someone save me! Your Majesty, help!"
While the others sensed that Su Ming planned to punish them, none of them were as terrified as Yu Tianheng, whose cries grew increasingly desperate. As he struggled, they noticed the wooden hand gripping him had darkened in places, revealing a telltale yellow stain.
Su Ming blinked in mild shock. Did he just… wet himself?
"Did you see that? He actually wet himself!" one of Su Ming's companions muttered in disbelief.
Yu Tianheng's teammates, feeling a wave of shame, thought back to how he used to carry himself—this man had been their captain once. Su Ming hadn't even touched him, and he was already terrified out of his wits.
At Bibi Dong's signal, the referee spoke in a cool tone. "Your team's leader has chosen not to concede, and none of you have voluntarily left the stage. The match will proceed."
The audience caught on. It seems Spirit Hall might know about Heaven Dou's grudge against Yu Tianheng and wants to see some justice served.
Seeing Su Ming approaching him step by step, Yu Tianheng's heart filled with dread. No one was going to help him.
"Su Ming, wait—I have a few questions for him," Dugu Yan said, stepping forward.
Su Ming nodded, chuckling, "By all means. I'll test out a new technique on him in the meantime. Maybe that way, he won't be able to lie or ask for pity."
Dugu Yan agreed, thinking a little "persuasion" from Su Ming might encourage Yu Tianheng to talk.
New technique? The words piqued the audience's curiosity. Su Ming's powers were already formidable—what could he have in store now?
"Fourth Spirit Skill: Rebirth!"
A green glow spread over Yu Tianheng, and he felt a sudden rush of warmth and energy flood through him, reinvigorating him to his peak condition. But instead of relief, his face was etched with confusion and dread.
"What are you doing?" he asked, baffled.
Su Ming's grin widened. "How does it feel? That's life energy, bringing you back to your peak. You should be feeling great now, right?"
Yu Tianheng couldn't help but nod, feeling unusually energized, but a growing sense of dread filled him.
Su Ming's plan was to flood Yu Tianheng's body with life energy before taking the next step.
To create utter destruction from the pinnacle of life.
Meanwhile, in the divine realm, the Goddess of Life watched Su Ming's actions intently.
"Little Purple, do you see what Su Ming is doing? Could he actually be…" she trailed off, exchanging a glance with the God of Destruction.
"Little Green," the God of Destruction replied gravely, his gaze fixed on the scene, "If I'm not mistaken, he intends to transform that life energy into destructive power."
The Goddess of Life hesitated, uncertain. "You think he can manage it? Even with the strength of the Ancient Tree of Life, I can't transmute life energy to pure destruction—and neither can you change destruction into life energy."
Su Ming was attempting something unheard of. In the arena, he was about to push the boundaries of life and destruction.

The God of Destruction sighed, "Su Ming's insight is remarkable. He understands that from destruction comes new life, and that all things born must eventually face extinction. You and I are living examples of that cycle. Yet, we cannot merge our powers at will; our best effort is using our Soul Fusion Technique to combine destruction and life into the power of creation. But even then, we would cease to exist."
"Our powers cannot be contained. Oddly, I'm more worried that if Su Ming succeeds, he might lose control," he added.
The Goddess of Life chuckled, "Don't worry. If anything goes wrong, I can save him. I have high hopes for him as my successor; he's the first person on Douluo Continent with the ultimate wood attribute. I wouldn't want to miss this chance."
She continued, "And this wouldn't break any rules of the Divine Realm. When he undergoes the godly trials, as my successor, I'm allowed to grant him a blessing—an infusion of life force that could save his life."
Noticing the God of Destruction's silence, she pressed on, "So, Little Purple, if he does succeed, wouldn't you consider him for your successor as well?"
The God of Destruction raised a brow, "You're suggesting he take on my godhood? As my successor?"
The Goddess of Life nodded, "Yes. His abilities aren't limited to support. You've seen his skills—he's a well-rounded spirit master, blending offense, defense, and healing. Doesn't that resonate with your godhood?"
After a pause, the God of Destruction replied, "If he can pull it off, he'd indeed suit my godhood. But the rules only allow a person to inherit one godhood. Since he's your choice, I won't compete. Besides, he has only one martial soul—he couldn't carry a second godhood even if I wanted him to."
The Goddess of Life's eyes sparkled. "Have you forgotten those unusual eyes of his?"
The God of Destruction looked puzzled. "You mean the eyes filled with destructive energy? Are you suggesting he use his eyes to inherit my godhood?"
She nodded. "Exactly. Why not? There's no rule that says godhood can only be carried by a martial soul. The martial soul is just a vessel, and his eyes are certainly unique enough. Perhaps they're perfect for your godhood."
The God of Destruction was struck by the idea. He knew that the vessel for godhood must be unique and powerful. Su Ming's eyes seemed to fit the bill.
"Yes," he finally conceded, "but as one of the Divine Realm's five enforcers, I'd hate to break our long-standing traditions."
Sensing his hesitation, the Goddess of Life suggested, "You've watched the God of Asura and the Sea God closely. Their plans are clear by now, aren't they?"
The God of Destruction's concerns seemed to ease. "You're referring to their god-making scheme? A dual godhood?"
She nodded. "The God of Asura seems set on combining his power with the Sea God to create a dual-god bearer. That way, they can counter us along with the Gods of Kindness and Evil. He's the strongest among us, yet he's often overshadowed by our joint powers."
"Plus, he may want to pass on his godhood and wander the realms to grow stronger."
"And Tang San is their chosen candidate."
The God of Destruction voiced a long-held suspicion. "And they're not afraid of me taking down Tang San? Even if they succeed, Tang San would still be no match for us until he's fully grown."
The Goddess of Life smiled wryly. "They've figured you out, Little Purple. They know you're too bound by the Divine Realm's rules to break them."
