Chapter 13: Mother Selene

Eternal night. A sky shimmering with an ethereal glow. Stars, the moon, and the absence of visible clouds. Luminescent flowers on the beautiful forests, fireflies and glowing stones. Trees made of shimmering veins of silver, and rivers that were crystal-clear, reflecting the light of the moon.

This was the Moonlight Region which was home to Mother Selene, the first wife of Eros and Mother of all Erothyria.

At the heart of the Region, was the Castle of Moonlight. A tall structure, carved from obsidian stone and silvery power of the moon glowing through its sutures.

The high towers on opposite sides threatened to pierce the sky, and they were draped in tendrils of glowing ivy. Silver banners were on the battlements, while magical symbols were ingrained in pale blue.

The grand courtyard was filled with floating lanterns that bobbed like celestial bodies, casting a soft, otherworldly glow over the land. Inside, the halls of the castle echoed with ancient power, the air thick with the scent of night-blooming flowers and the hum of magic.

But that's not where the real magic was going on, at least not for now.

In the largest of the castle's royal chambers, there was a spacious room with candles that burned with silver flames on the corners. This room was the Celestial Love Chamber.

The chamber was very vast, filled with soft silks, velvet cushions, and mirrors that reflected the act of romance, pleasure, desire and depravity that took place here. Delicate wisps of silver fog curled around in the air, rising from pools of enchanted water that lined the chamber's floor.

But there was an emotion in the air, a feeling. The feeling of desperation and need.

"Please, my Lord! My God! My husband! My king!" Mother Selene's beautiful, matured voice echoed in the dark room. "Please come to me tonight! Come and take me!"

She was laid on the velvet cushion, wearing only a transparent, silver lace gown that had no sleeves and covered nothing but her nipples, falling down to her thighs in slits.

Mother Selene was the epitome of a magical beauty, one that only grew better with age. She had long silver hair and pale, pristine skin. Her eyes were dark, but the pupils were silver, completing the enchanting resplendence that she possessed.

On that velvet cushion, her voluptuous body was on display. Her legs were wide open, and her thick thighs made way for the pink softness that was her sheath, although covered by the transparent lace gown — barely covered at least.

Her breasts were so large and firm that tear dropped to her stomach, and a desperate look was on her face.

"It's been so long, my Lord. Please take me one more time. Mate with me and impregnate me once more! Let me give you a daughter once again. Or perhaps..." her face fell nervous, "... a son."

She waited for Eros's response but the God of Erothyria remained silent.

But now it was clear what this was truly about. Although Eros had not made love with Mother Selene for a very, very long time, leaving her craving his touch and his celestial cock, she had another selfish reason for wanting to do this.

When Mother Selene heard that Mother Guinevere had given birth to a son, she was not fearful, irritated or angered like others. Rather she was envious. What made Guinevere so special that she could bear an anomaly.

In fact, she knew that the boy could not be an anomaly. Mother Selene knew that if Eros didn't want the boy child to live, he would have killed her long ago. This was his plan, a test to see what would happen if he brought a Son to the world rather than a Daughter.

What angered her the most and filled her with this envy was that Eros had chosen Guinevere.

Why? Why her? What was so special about her? She was his first wife and Guinevere was his last! Why would he disrespect her in such a manner?

Mother Selene's eyes narrowed in cold anger as she gazed into the distance, her lips pursed. 'How dare he ignore me?' she thought bitterly. 'Over and over again he ignores me. You have forsaken me, Eros. I am now the first wife that the husband eventually loses his love for.'

'You prefer your younger, fresher wives. And now you have abandoned me.' She stood up from the cushion and the lace gown draped down, reaching her feet.

Selene scoffed silently with disdain. She had ruled this Region with power and grace, had given herself to him time and time again, and yet he treated her like a forgotten lover, always giving his attention to others. It was an insult she could hardly bear.

Not any more.

A knock on her chamber door interrupted her brooding. Selene's sharp gaze flicked toward the door as one of her maidens entered, bowing low in reverence.

The maiden realized that the God had not answered her queen's desperate plea, so she knew she could come in.

"Your Majesty," the maiden spoke with an informal voice, clearly the two knew each other closely.

"Maridel," Mother Selene replied, arranging her clothing. "He still refuses to answer my call."

Maridel, the maiden, smacked her lips. "I wish I had an excuse to give in his name, dear Mother."

"He has abandoned me," Selene stated coldly, as though it did not affect her. "I have made peace with that. I will move on."

"Yes." Maridel said, nodding her head.

Mother Selene turned to her, giving her a piercing look with her sharp silver eyes. "What is it? You have news."

"Oh, yes. Indeed."

"Then speak."

The maiden hesitated for a moment before continuing. "It's about Lady Erimyra."

"Yes," Mother Selene nodded her head. "I had sent her to gather information on the Son that Mother Guinevere had given birth to. His Coming of Age ritual was yesterday. Has she returned? Does she have news?"

Maridel frowned nervously. "Not exactly, my queen. She… she has not returned."

Selene's eyes narrowed, and her voice darkened. "What do you mean, not returned?"

The maiden swallowed hard before speaking again. "She was… killed, Your Majesty. The people of Starlight Region believed her to be an assassin, and she was discovered with the sigil of Moonlight upon her. Mother Guinevere also sent a warning. Any harm sent toward her son will be met with retribution a thousandfold."

For a moment, the room fell into a heavy silence, and then, Selene's eyes blazed with fury. Her silver powers burned in her palms whilst her gown flowed like liquid light, then her voice thundered through the chamber.

"Is that a threat?! Guinevere of Starlight, that... child dares threaten me?!" Her hands clenched into fists, and the air around her seemed to ripple with her rage. "Sleazy whore! She has the audacity to send me a warning?!"

Maridel took a fearful step back, knowing it was wise to avoid Mother Selene in times such as this. "What are you going to do?"

"What do you think!" Selene's voice echoed through the chamber like a clap of thunder. "I sent Erimyra as a spy, not an assassin. Guinevere thinks she can fool me with this petty game? I will not allow this insult to stand!"

She took a deep breath, her power receding slightly as she regained control of her emotions. "Call my daughters. The Institution will open soon, and Guinevere's son will be inducted to learn the ways of magic. My daughters will meet him there, and they will do my bidding."

Mother Selene narrowed her eyes with rage. "I will not be cowed by a mere child and her pathetic brood."

Chapter 14: Preparing for the Institution

Back in the Castle of Starlight, in Son Aeric's chambers, steam rose in gentle curls into the air as the scent of honey and palm filled the bathing room.

Aeric was sitting in the marble bath, his muscly body was submerged in the warm, scented water as he took his morning bath.

Aeric especially loved his baths. The bathing room, grand and beautiful, with the fine curtains and crimson tapestries. The walls shimmered with golden veins that pulsed faintly with healing magic. This healing magic's aim was to soothe the body of the person bathing, especially after having a long stressful day.

Through the large, crystalline windows, Aeric had a good view of Mother Guinevere's sprawling castle gardens, where vibrant flowers radiated under the morning sky.

A large silver mirror stood near the basin, reflecting Aeric's obsidian hair and chiseled features, his sharp crimson eyes thoughtful as he allowed one of his maids to wash him.

However, his mind wasn't on the comfort of the bath or the beauty of the room. Today was his first day in the Royal Institution of Divinity.

The Institutions of Divinity were the various structures all over the realm where people were inducted after their Coming of Age ritual to learn to control the Divinity. However, the Royal Institution of Divinity was a place that, until now, had been reserved solely for the Daughters of Eros—the Royal bloods.

Now, as the first and only Son, the halls would open for him as well. Aeric was going to be inducted today.

Aeric half-smiled to himself, a little amused by the thought. However, Mother Guinevere had been more nervous than he. That morning alone, she had paced the halls of their castle, wringing her hands in anxious preparation.

This was fairly understandable. It was, after all, the first time her precious Son would leave the safety of their home, venturing out into the wider world where threats—both seen and unseen—might lurk. Threats like Mother Selene of Moonlight.

But, Aeric had done his best to assure her, again and again, that no harm would come to him. Especially not in the Institution, he had said confidently. And with a grin, he had joked that his sisters would watch over him, though he knew in his heart they would likely do the opposite.

Rosette had even glowered at him when he said it.

As the maid washed him, Aeric's thoughts drifted to the Institution itself. This was a big deal, it truly was.

He imagined the Royal Institution, a massive place filled with the Daughters of Eros. He would be the only boy there, the only Son among them. This felt a little bittersweet to think about, there was excitement for Aeric, but there was also wariness.

He could already imagine the stares, the whispers, and perhaps even attempts to bully him, he was certain they would call him names. Not excluding abomination.

Regardless, at second thought, Aeric wasn't so concerned anymore. He had the [Claim] skill, and he was keen on using it to survive, thrive, and rule.

His goal was still ingrained in his mind, and it was what was engineering every decision he made and actions he took. Laying [Claim] to the Skills and powers of everyone in Erothyria would make him the strongest Player. And that would keep him secure, even when his secret gets out.

He had to begin quickly and [Claim] as much as he can.

'The Institution would be a good place to start,' he thought with a sly grin. To him, it was like a hunting ground, and all those young hot Daughters of Eros were the prey.

Aeric envisioned it now, the Daughters' powers ripe for the claiming. He would seize them one by one until he held their magic in his grasp. And then, once he had mastered them, he would set his sights higher—he would [Claim] the powers of the Mothers. The thought of it sent a thrill of delight through him. What a glorious plan.

His hand touched his chin in thought. 'The only problem though is how I would get them to have sex with me.' He thought a bit harder.

'Hmm. Surely it shouldn't be that hard. I am unbelievably good looking in this world, and the Daughters are just as young as I am so I think they'll be easy to convince.'

Will they really?

'At least I have the Insight Skill, with that, I can listen to their thoughts and know which are more easy to take to bed and dump my seed into. Erimyra of Moonlight, you are proving to have caused more good than harm!'

—Ouch!

"I'm sorry, my Prince!" the maiden exclaimed in fear. She had mistakenly scratched him with her nail as she was washing him with the cloth. "I'm so sorry!"

"Stop!" Aeric raised his hand when she attempted to continue washing.

The maid was scared now. "Yes, my Prince?"

He sighed and laid back on the marble bath, his tummy sinking into the water, but his cock rising out hard, tall and strong.

The maid's eyes widened. "Uh..." She was almost starstruck staring at the glorious size of the Prince's cock.

"Come over here and give it a good suck," Aeric ordered. "I need to be calm while I think."

The maid gave an inner moan, her body already heating up. "Yes, my Prince." She walked around the bath and got inside, squatted into the water before Aeric and took in the cock inside her mouth, then began to suck slowly.

"I know you're not careful with your fingernails, but you better mind your teeth," Aeric warned.

"Yesh my prinsh," the maid replied with his cock still in her mouth.

Aeric relaxed with a smile on his face. 'Oh yeah. I could really get used to this royal life.'

After the bath and blowjob, Aeric dressed. His attire had been made by one of the finest tailors in Starlight as ordered by his mother.

It was a deep obsidian black tunic embroidered with silver threads that glittered like crimson starlight, paired with fitted trousers and boots of the finest leather. Over his broad shoulders, he draped a cloak of deep red, clasped with a brooch shaped like a star.

His dark hair was neatly combed back, though two strands fell over at opposite sides of his face, highlighting its sharp angles and the intensity of his crimson eyes. He looked every bit the royal Son he was—handsome, imposing, and ready for the world to recognize his power.

Aeric stepped out into the grand hall where his mother awaited him. Once the doors opened, he saw the face of pride and anxiety. Mother Guinevere smiled at him as he walked on the scarlet carpet and got closer to her.

"My son," she greeted, smoothing the front of his cloak with gentle hands. "You look… magnificent. The world is not ready for the man you are, do you know that?" she smiled lovingly at him.

Aeric smiled back. "Yes I do, mother."

Slowly, the smile on her face faltered a lot. "But—" she hesitated, biting her lip, "I still worry. Outside this castle is different, dangerous even. You know what they say about you, you know what Selene tried to do to you."

Aeric smiled, taking her hands. "Mother. I've told you a thousand times. You need not fear. No one will harm me. Besides," he added with a mischievous glint in his eye, "I'll be surrounded by my sisters. What could possibly go wrong?"

Guinevere laughed softly, though the worry remained in her eyes. "I suppose you wouldn't tell me what Class and Main Skill you chose? That would make me feel much more certain that you can take care of yourself out there."

A flash of worry struck Aeric, but he smiled as a response, trying to sound as kind as possible. "You know that's against the Divine Laws, mother. It has to be declared by a Divine Speaker in the Institution."

Guinevere sighed, then smiled weakly, accepting her son's words.

Aeric looked at her. Out of everyone, his mother was the only person he genuinely loved and cared for. He didn't want to hurt her feelings.

"Alright then. I guess you are right."

Aeric nodded and kissed her hand.

"Come now," Guinevere said as she rose to her feet. "It's time for you to choose your Beast Companion."
