Chapter 271: Chapter 271: Baltigo - She's Gone!

Sabo was sent flying by Takumi's strike, flipping twice mid-air before landing steadily.

"Why do you always resort to violence?" Sabo barely got his balance back before Takumi appeared in front of him again with another barrage of strikes.

Sabo used his pipe to defend himself, blocking each blow, but Takumi's relentless attacks forced him back until he was cornered.

"Takumi, I just asked about your sister. Why are you so angry?" Sabo asked with a helpless smile.

"If you mention her again, I'll kill you!" Takumi's voice was low and cold.

Sabo paused, his face changing as a realization hit him. "Wait, Mumu… Could it be… something happened to her?"

Takumi's voice remained indifferent, "She's dead."

Sabo's eyes widened in disbelief. "What? Didn't you say she was fine?!"

Takumi stayed silent.

After a moment of silence, Sabo asked again, "Are you serious?"

Takumi gave a small, solemn nod.

Sabo was stunned, dropping his guard entirely. Takumi took the opportunity and landed a heavy blow, sending Sabo flying through a half-open window at the end of the second-floor corridor.

Right at that moment, Dragon and his team returned.

As they approached the base, they saw Sabo falling from above, crashing into the ground with a loud thud in front of everyone.

"Sabo! Are you okay?" Koala rushed over, helping Sabo to his feet.

"Cough…" Sabo coughed, looking visibly shaken.

"What happened? Why do you look like this?" Koala asked, clearly worried.

Sabo stayed silent for a moment, glancing at the window Takumi had thrown him out of, his fists clenched. Without answering Koala, he ran back into the building.

"Sabo, you idiot! Can't you see I'm worried about you?!" Koala yelled angrily.

Sabo stormed into the base, where Takumi was already descending the stairs. Without a word, Sabo quickly approached him, ignoring the fact that Takumi had just attacked him, and asked with a serious expression, "Did she die because of me?"

Takumi sighed, "No."

"Then who?" Sabo pressed on, "Who killed her?"

"It doesn't concern you," Takumi replied indifferently, attempting to walk past Sabo.

Sabo's face darkened. "I owe her. Tell me who did it, and I'll avenge her."

Takumi stayed silent for a moment before finally answering, "I already took care of them."

Sabo hesitated, watching Takumi's back as he walked away, feeling both conflicted and pained. After a moment, he asked again, "Where did you bury her? I want to visit her someday."

Takumi was growing increasingly frustrated. This guy really wasn't giving up. He sighed and then lied, "I cremated her and scattered her ashes at sea. Don't ask about Mumu anymore—whoever brings her up, I'll beat them."

Enel and Kaku suddenly peeked their heads out from the kitchen on the first floor, both looking curious.

Even the Revolutionary Army members in the vicinity paused their work, turning their attention to Takumi and Sabo.

Before Takumi could say anything further, Enel spoke up, "Knowing Takumi, if someone really did kill his sister, he would have tortured them to death."

Kaku rubbed his chin thoughtfully, "This might not be the best time to ask, but I'm genuinely curious—what kind of person was your sister, Captain? And you—kid with the pipe—how did you meet her? You said you owe her. Was it a life debt or something else?"

"I owe her my life," Sabo answered without hesitation. "If it weren't for Mumu, I'd have died back in Sha—"

"Enough!" Takumi interrupted immediately. "I cremated her and scattered her ashes in the sea. Don't bring up Mumu again—anyone who does will answer to me."

Enel and Kaku exchanged glances and wisely kept quiet.

But Sabo, still not willing to give up, asked, "Which sea? Was it the Sha—"

"East Blue," Takumi interrupted again. After a pause, he added, "Near Windmill Village."

"East Blue?" Sabo blinked.

Enel and Kaku hadn't been to East Blue, so they had no idea.

As Dragon and his group walked in, they overheard Takumi mention Windmill Village.

Most people wouldn't know the significance, but Dragon did. That was his hometown, and his son Luffy was still there. He knew exactly what Takumi was implying, but he remained calm, as if the village meant nothing to him.

If Takumi hadn't already known about Dragon's background, he might have believed it.

"East Blue?" Koala asked curiously. "Sabo, are you planning to go to East Blue?"

Sabo shook his head. "I want to, but now's not the time."

The Revolutionary Army needed all hands on deck. Despite being only fifteen, Sabo was already a crucial part of their operations. The world was still vast, and there were many countries and people who needed their help. He couldn't abandon his comrades for his own personal matters.

"Leader," Sabo turned to Dragon, "when there's a mission that takes us to East Blue, let me be the one to go."

"Alright," Dragon replied casually.

Takumi had mentioned Windmill Village partly to appease Sabo and partly to give him a chance to recover his memories.

Sure, Takumi could have simply told Sabo everything.

But he chose not to.

Let Sabo figure it out on his own.

Besides, now that Mumu was "dead," this guy wouldn't bother him anymore.

Moreover, there was still an unfinished task in Baltigo. Takumi wasn't sure if Sabo was involved, but it was definitely connected to Dragon. And Sabo, as Dragon's protégé, couldn't be harmed—at least not yet.

"So, you're from East Blue?" Koala suddenly asked, curiosity piqued as she looked at Takumi.

Takumi nodded indifferently.

Kaku sighed lightly, "East Blue is supposed to be the weakest of all the seas in terms of overall power, but it's produced some big names—the former Pirate King Roger, the Marine hero Garp, and now our captain. Who would've thought?"
