Chapter 38: The Vampire Prince

(Volsra; The Vampire Kingdom in the West Continent)

In a distant village on the corner of Volsra, the silence of death prevailed. Vultures circled the grey skies above ready to swoop in and tear the flesh from the multiple giant X's. The flayed human corpses were nailed on them, their horrible stench saturated the cold air. The blood still dripped from their corpses, soiling the soil in its vermilion hue. 

Their hearts had been removed and some even had their blood drained out. 

The handful of the human population, which mainly consisted of scared children, wailing women, and crippled old men, had been gathered in the centre of the village's meeting ground. 

Silent cries jerked the hearts of the weak but the young vampire standing near one of the erected X's had no mercy in his heart. His silky raven hair with a single red streak had a flare as they flowed right down to his shoulders.
