Chapter 72: Chapter 72 : Dozu
'Danzo.'
That was what I thought this person was, but after seeing the person coming out of the shadows, I just frowned and then sighed, seeing that I was just thinking too much.
"Dozu…right!
Why are you trailing me." I said while recalling all his information, he certainly is not as strong as Sasuke and I can easily take him down.
"Fight me…" That was the only thing he said, making me a little baffled, that was a little ridiculous demand on his side, why should I just fight him just because he wanted to, but again why he is looking for a fight?
It's very obvious that I am strong, he should have been there when I fought with Sasuke so why?
"Why ?"
"You don't need to know," Doze said and rushed at me, aiming to attack me.
I just waited there until he arrived and before he could even come near me his movement was halted.
"Now, mind telling me why you are trying to fight with me ?" I asked as I saw my shadow effortlessly connect with him and stop him on his track.
"What…but how? your hands…" Dosu was looking stunned and then looked at my hands which were still in my pocket.
"Yes, I don't need hands to use shadow Possession Jutsu, at least when it comes to casually stopping your movements. If you use your chakra then you might realize that my hold on you is not that strong, I need to form hand signs for that. You can try getting out of my shadow's hold, I too wanna see how much pressure can handle before I have to resort to using my hands." I reply, though I wasn't planning on saying this but Dozu was a good target to see my Signless shadow Possession.
Against Sasuke, I couldn't go this easy.
And even without saying this Dozu was planning on struggling, I knew that no Genin could get out of his hold, at least that person had to be a Chunin. This was also a test to see whether Dozu was at that level or not, if he was then it was not that bad of an idea to kill him, but he was still lacking a person at Chunin rank to kill and his power.
Not that long after, he finally started to lose the hold I had on him and broke out of it.
Would have been completely impossible if I were using handsign to cast the jutsu. But that was the problem with shadow possession without using hand signs, it was fast and good at quick sneak attacks but the control over the shadow was not good, and neither was its power.
Maybe I should try using a binding vow to fix this, have no idea how to use those tricky bindings but maybe I can try.
Anyways…
What I have to do is handle this guy, I hope that no one misses him if he is gone. If I remember correctly then he used the sound Jutsu right, that sounds pretty cool.
"Don't look down on me…damn it," Dozu shouted as he again attack me but this time from a distance.
Dodging them was no issue for me, so I again asked him while dodging the attacks.
"This is the last time I am asking you, tell me why you are attacking me."
Seeing this Dozu didn't reply anything immediately but he stopped there for a second. And after thinking about a little he finally spoke.
"You beat Sasuke Uchiha, I wanted to fight him but you beat him. So it's only natural that I beat you now." Dozu finally said, making me wonder why.
Even in the anime, he was hell bend on beating Sasuke for some reason and even ended up fighting against someone like Gaara of all people to beging able to fight Sasuke.
Why?
I was a fan of Naruto, but even I dont remember everything from the series, I remember he died at Gaara's hand when he challenged me but I can't remember why he did so, to fight Sasuke? Really.
For a second I thought about asking him, but what difference will that bring? I sigh.
There was indeed no point wanted to seek his life story, after all, I was about to kill the guy.
So with that in mind, I form a particular hand sign, bringing my two original Shikigami out of my shadow. Two dogs, one black and one white stood in front of me.
"Charge," I said to both Snow and Shadow. And the next second they both were at Dozu's throat.
Dozu saw this tense up, though they looked like normal dogs to him but he saw how they appeared, from the shadow they emerged, this was different than the normal summoning jutsu.
I have tested myself enough, let's see what my shikimi can do.

Chapter 73: Chapter 73 : Such A Drag
I saw the dead body of Dozu getting drowned in my shadow, I can't leave it here after all, and I felt nothing in particular.
My Shikigami tore the boy apart in front of me and I am surprised that I didn't feel anything regarding this. If this was old me then I would have freaked out at seeing a human dying in front of me, let alone one I killed myself.
Now this is not my first kill by a long shot but still to think that I have become so desensitised that even someone's death in my own hands is not enough to bring any sort of emotion to my face, maybe coming here in this world did had a price to be paid, it's just often we don't realised what we paid until its too long.
I can't help but sigh at this, though I don't like seeing I am getting used to killing, but in this world, one must to survive.
On a positive note, I didn't have to kill the man by my own hands, both my toads and dogs did all the work. The only assistance I contributed was releasing them at the right time and giving them the element of surprise. Toads restrained the boy and dogs tore him into a bloody mess.
And with the help of little water jutsu cleaning afterwards wasn't that hard either.
Then the notification appeared in front of me, asking me to choose any of Dozu's powers which I wanted.
There was only one, the sound technique for which I killed the guy in the first place. I currently lack a close combat jutsu, can learn Rasengan sure but that costs too much chakra, not to mention not compatible with my sword skills.
But if I can use the sound jutsu alongside my sword technique and Genjutsu. Now that would be a menace.
However, this also means that I have to do more training…
Sigh, the grind truly never ends I guess.
With this, I still have 3 changes to get rewards from the system. Killing a Kage, become a Jonin and then become a Kage.
5 if I also add in the ridiculous mission of taming Manorama and stopping Madara's plan.
I have to be selective when it moves to higher-tier rewards.
One minute…
I suddenly realized something, Dozu died at Gaara's hand but he wasn't the only one who died right.
Baki also killed that always-sick exam proctor, one of the few early deaths which happened in the anime, I almost forgot due to him not being that important of a character.
I pause for a second when I register this, only now pondering this.
"Am I too late…, no should I even interfere, besides the fact that the man also being a Konoha shinobi, I barely know the man."
"..."
Whatever, while there is no point following the story considering I already got the Chunin reward, even if I forbid my match against Gaara then I have no grimace. And in this case, I shouldn't be bothered thinking about keeping the cannon for the sake of getting promoted, even if I say genin then it's fine.
Okay, I am saving that sick fellow…
With that in mind, I quickly body flickered up on the tallest building I could find… trying to find where was Hayate.
"Nah, it's too dark in the night to fight a fight taking place on any of these rooftops. If only my chakra sensing was better than this." I can't help but sneer at this inconvenience, it's really irritating.
But no matter, "Come out, Snow, Shadow… find that proctor guy quickly." I shouted and soon two dogs who are usually stationed in my shadow nowadays came out without performing any hand sign and started sniffing around.
I just hope that I'm not too late…
"Bark."
They got him, good.
"Take me to him…" I reply and simultaneously follow the dogs.

By the time I got there, I saw Baki, the Jonin sensei of the sand team, had given a vital wound to Hayate, I was late after all.
"Charge."
I shouted, not delaying anymore and the next second my Divine dogs rushed at Baki who was not expecting any sudden attack.
But he was a Jonin for a reason, he was able to dodge back at the last moment, wary of the dogs and staring at me with his single eye out while the other side of his face was covered with white cloth, no doubt he is trying to hide some sort of injury there. Why else he block his vision like that otherwise.
"No don't, get out call for help…" Hayate struggled to say this, he was barely able to say this let alone move at this point, blood was pouring out of him from all sides.
I have to heal him otherwise he won't make it, but can't reply around deer here, that will expose me, those wounds are not looking like something I completely heal either, but I am sure that with my current proficiency, I can stop the bleed and a save him at least.
Given that I can handle Baki.
"You are the one who beat that Uchiha Kid, I wasn't expecting you to get up and running around playing hero so quickly. Too bad for you kid but now I have to kill you." Baki replied with his face looking dark and chakra pouring out of him like he was ready to attack me.
Seeing this I knew that I had to choose fast. I can't fight him alone without my Shikigami, he is a Jonin for god sake. But I can't use Shikigami's in front of Gekko either.
"Such a Drag…"
