Chapter 267: 267. Bagon Down

"Torchic, you will have the Fighting-type added to you in the future, so it is very important to strengthen your legs from the early stages. Don't rest when you feel tired, keep running! You want to beat Electrike, right? But see that Electrike is much faster than you! So you have to be faster too!"

On the way to their destination of Fallarbor Town, Ash and his group passed a mountainous road. Since they needed to climb the mountain to get their quicker, Ash had simply summoned his Torchic and Electrike to train their speed and durability.

Judging from their current training situation, it was just like if a real life green puppy was chasing a big orange chicken. They were ultimately just training in the mountain.

Seeing Ash's Torchic grow up so quickly from just a small and newborn Pokémon, Max quickly said to May who was beside him, "May, you have to hurry up and train Torchic like big brother is! How can you even consider yourself to be his girlfriend like this? You have to become stronger!" Max said behemothly.

Traveling with Ash, Max finally understood that Ash's existence and powerful power was definitely not something that was obtained as easily as he had hoped, as it required the accumulation of many days of hard work.

May hesitated but knew that she had to become stronger so she can stand next to Ash, "Come out, Torchic!"

Ash's Torchic noticed this "senior", snorted while looking at him, glanced at Electrike beside him, and the two Pokémon accelerated at the same time in some kind of tacit understanding.

May's Torchic was left behind and was ignored by the two on them as if he wasn't even there in the first place. May's starters speed and physical strength could not keep up with the Pokémon trained by Ash himself and also his other much stronger and experienced Pokémon's.

Torchic stepped teh ground hard in frustration, and May ran over to pick him up, then looked at Ash in a cute manner, "Ash..."

Even Ash didn't know what to do here, so he said what he thought, "May, every Trainer has their own training method, you don't have to follow my training method."

I can't help too much even if he wanted to, really.

May nodded at her boyfriend and took Torchic to train slowly away from their temporary shelter. It was true that Torchic was her Starter Pokémon, but she hadn't actually trained it much yet.

Suddenly, a stone fell from the hillside and almost hit where Ash's Torchic and Electrike were standing at. Ash and the group stopped and saw a small blue Pokémon on the hillside, ready to do something.

Ash's eyes lit up because it was a Bagon!

Like his Dratini, it is the first form of the of one of the Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon's, and after it evolves into it's final form, it becomes the Pokémon known as Salamence!

This is also one of the Pokémon's he really wished to add to his main team.

But his enthusiasm soon disappeared from his eyes. He could tell that this was not a wild Bagon by any means, so it must have a Trainer around here.

"What is it doing?" May asked curiously, looking up at it.

"That Bagon will most likely jump down from that position and hit one of the rocks here with his head. They do this to exercise their hard head." Ash explained calmly to his clueless girlfriend.

As soon as he finished speaking, Bagon jumped down from the tall cliff, dived into the air below, fluttered his little limbs wildly, and then rushed down with his head and smashed the rock down.

This scene frightened May and Max out of their wits. If they were really hit from such a high place, they couldn't even think how dead they would be within that second.

Brock hurriedly took the two siblings to get away from here, but Asb stayed where he was with a calm and collected demeanor. With Bagon's vigorous jump from another of the rocks, it was now moving in a parabola, landing not far away behind him.

Brock and the other two ran back, but Bagon landed on a big rock next to them, smashing it into pieces and making their faces turn even more pale with pure fright.

Then they looked at Ash who hadn't moved a step not far away and couldn't help but give him a look of awestruck. In fact, this was a very simple matter for him. Ash was after all a highly intelligent Pokémon Trainer, so it wasn't hard for him to be able to grasp the movements of a slower Pokémon like this Bagon.

Bagon stood up from the rubble again the second time, unharmed, and then looked at the Torchic and Electrike beside him.

"Do you want to challenge us?" Ash smiled softly, and his Ralts on his shoulders suddenly jumped down and stood in front of Torchic and Electrike, as if protecting her younger brothers.

"Ralts is about to fight that Bagon!" Max exclaimed in excitement. Out of all the Pokémon's Ash had caught, he felt he had the most connection to was Ralts.

And this scene did surprised them a little. Ralts was obviously known to be a very timid Pokémon, but this one was actually standing up to a battle willingly.

Of course, this is because of Ash's care, training and love for his little Ralts. Their Bond Value was already very high from the moment she was born. Ash believed that as long as she completes her final evolution, she can directly undergo their Bond Evolutions.

His future Psychic Queen plan was looking very promising.

It was true that Torchic and Electrike would have a harder time facing Bagon in terms of level and types, but his Ralts can easily defeat it with both of those things.

"Ralu Lalu!" Ralts called to the two Pokémon behind her a few times, and they quickly returned to Ash's side.

"Ralts, use Disarming Voice!" This was a Fairy-type attack, so it had an outstanding effect on the weaker Bagonz Bagon was already dazed, swaying as if he was drunk.

"Now, Draining Kiss!" Ash gave the order again without a second of hesitation.

Suddenly, a young lady wearing sunglasses jumped down from the hillside and stood behind her Bagon.

She clicked on the side of her sunglasses and began to murmur, "Start calculating the activation method and attack trajectory of the Draining Kiss. Bagon, hide behind the rock on the left!"

Bagon was very decisive after hearing that voice. He jumped to the left and hid behind the mentioned rock and was successfully able to avoid the Draining Kiss because of this in the last moment.

Then the young lady turned around and yelled at Ash and his group, "What on earth do you people want to do? Why did you attack my Bagon so randomly?!"

"No job I, we were just passing by and then we saw that this Bagon was suddenly jumped from the cliff there, so..." May quickly explained for them.

Hearing this, the young lady understood, "Is that so? It seems like we are the ones causing trouble... I'm sorry about the misunderstanding."

She took off her sunglasses and someone was immediately impressed by the women's appearance. And that someone immediately elated back, "No, not at all, hahah! It's actually our fault, right Ash?!"

Sure it was.

"A dramatic and impactful encounter like this is the best start to a love story! My name is Brock, may I ask what you na—"

"Um, I'm Michelle. Nice to meet you."

"What a nice name!" Brock immediately came back.

Seeing the embarrassment of the young lady, Ash had to pull Brock away for the second time, looked at Michelle and said with a smile, "This little guy probably wants to fly already."

Hearing Ash say this, Michelle suddenly seemed to have a feeling that they will be good friends, "So you understand this! My Bagon wanted to fly into the sky from the moment he was!"

"Flying in the sky?" Brock and May was stunned.

"Yes, Pokémon like my Bagon have had the yearning to soar in the sky since they were born. They will work hard at this stage, accumulate a lot of energy, and then evolve into a Shelgon. Inside the hard shell, the cells will undergo drastic changes and this will form a brand new body for them. The reason why Salamence's wings are blood red is precisely because that is all its essence! Pure Blood!"

Ash opened his mouth to explain to everyone the growth process of a Pseudo-Legendary Pokemon like Bagon in a single breath, and then said with a smile, "But I can let this little one experience it first hand!"

As he spoke, a pink light flashed in his eyes, and his Psychic activated on the Bagon to lift it up and make him fly in the air. Seeing it dancing happily made everyone smile.

To train up a Pseudo-Legendary really consumes a lot of energy from the Trainer. Now that Ash has indeed caught a lot of new Pokémon's recently, he wouldn't dare to try to go out looking for a second Pseudo-Legendary!

If he really does, it will consume a lot of his energy and time.

"That's awesome!" Max looked at Bagon in the air and murmured, "You really really know a lot."

Even Michelle got excited, "Ash, can I have a Pokémon battle with you? Originally, I wanted him to accumulate more battle experience and evolve as soon as possible. But now it seems that these kinds of matters cannot be rushed!"

"That's right!" Ash nodded, as her request for a battle could not be refused.

Michelle's pair of sunglasses was definitely filled with some sort of high-tech, which reminds Ash of that guy with a Scizor he met back in the Johto Region who used his computers to analyze data to compete in battles.

These sunglasses are obviously much more efficient than having to keep clicking and looking down.

"It's up to you, Dratini!"

The first stage of the Kanto Region Dragon-type Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon, Dratini, fighting against the Hoenn Region Dragon-type Pseudo-Legendary.

However, this battle was already over the moment it started!

"Dratini, Dragon Tail!"

Michelle's pair of sunglasses couldn't capture Dratini's figure at all. Before she could analyze it and give her command, Dratini's Dragon Tail had already thrown her Bagon away and hit the mountainside wall.

The force immediately hade a big hole!

"Bagon loses it's ability to fight, meaning Dratini and Ash is the winner of this battle!" Brock directly announced Ash's victory. He, too, knew how this battle would have ended before it even began.

Dragon-type Pokémon are very particular about their bloodlines. The Dratini that Ash worked so hard to obtain has an unimaginable strong bloodline. Coupled with the trading and resources that Ash was constantly giving him from the beginning was something that almost no one would have able to give.

His future Dragonite will definitely become one of his strongest Pokémon's with the likes of his Pikachu, Charizard, Gyarados, Tyranitar, etc.!

Chapter 268: 268. Mirage Kingdom

I know I have been home for a few days but I was really sick.

————————————————————

Walking out of the mountain road, Ash and his party reached the shored of a river passing by.

Ash received a call from someone on the nearby Pokémon Center not long ago, he was obviously very excited about this call. After hearing about the call, the rest of the group was very interested in Ash's mysterious guest. He had quickly informed them of who they were and brought the group here to wait for that certain someone.

"Ash, I always hear you mention her, and today I finally get to see the real person!" May looked very excited, after all, she will see one of the other two girl that Ash told was "his".

"Pika pi!"

Pikachu was the first to notice something again, and he immediately cheered up. ASH and Brock also became excited after seeing them.

Next to this small river, running along the shore, was the beautiful young figure yaht the three hadn't seen in a while now.

"Ash!"

Togepi in his arms jumped onto Pikachu's arms, and Misty threw herself into Ash's arms and gave him a big kiss, "Long time no see, how are you?"

The two of them separated, looking at Misty's energetic look, Ash smiled and said, "Of course, thank you for helping me take care of my Pokémon's!"

Misty was very busy as the Gym Leader of the Cerulean City Gym, but in her spare time, she will ride her bike ti Pallet Town to visit his mom, and then go to the backyard of the Professor Oak Laboratory to take care of some of his Pokémon's.

After all, Ash had caught many very powerful Water-type for his team, and as his future wife, it was only natural that she hangs out with them.

He has many Pokémon's that she loves, and not to mention his Suicune.

Of course, Ash's own Water-type Pokémon's help her train her own.

"Haha, it's nothing, babe. I'm the ine that should thank you. Thanks to your Slowking and the others, I'm much more stronger now! It's not easy to get the Cascade Badge of my Gym anymore!"

Misty has completely taken over the Cerulean City Gym after all three of her sisters left to go in their world tour.

They thought just maybe that they can learn something better for their future performances.

With that said, Misty looked at the May and Max who were next to Ash and Brock, "Are you May and Max? It's nice to meet you. I'm Misty from Cerulean City."

May rushed directly to Misty, "Hello! I've wanted to meet you after hearing about you from Ash!"

Max focused more on the Togepi that Misty came with. After seeing Pikachu, she looked very happy, it was very cute.

"I can meet you so suddenly here today was only because of my little Togepi." Misty received an invitation letter to the Togepi Festival for all Togepi Trainers, and it just happened that Ash had told her where they were going.

So she agreed with him to meet up here.

The group found the location according to the instructions on the invitation letter, "This hotel should be here! It sis that I'm the only one allowed to go in here for the sign up. You guys can wait up here for my good news."

Unexpectedly, as soon as Misty walked through the door with Togepi in her arms, the door slammed shut and everything in front of her had suddenly become all dark.

Then two people came up from behind Misty and carried her up a ramp. "Welcome to the Togepi Festival. This is the VIP room. Please wait patiently!"

The ramp was lifted, and Misty was inexplicably trapped inside.

Misty noticed that the place was surrounded by high metal walls, and it was also very cold and with no warmth at all. She immediately knew from all of her lengthy experience that this was not a good for her.

"ASH!" Misty subconsciously shouted on the spot for her lover.

At the same time, the wall of the so-called hotel where the venue should have been collapsed, revealing the surrounded flying aircraft. At the moment, Misty was still in the aircraft!

Boom!

Misty suddenly heard a violent sound of something crashing, and saw that the metal wall next to her was suddenly penetrated, and Ash got in from there.

"Ash!"

Misty exclaimed, no matter what time it is, even now, as long as Ash was around her, she will not feel scared.

Ash nodded and gave her a gentle kiss, grabbed the rope at his feet, and threw it out of the hole, "This aircraft has already taken off, we don't have time to escape from the main entrance!"

May, Brock, and Max quickly grabbed the rope and were taken off by the speeding aircraft, but Ash's amazing strength and a little bit of Psychic quickly pulled them up to where he and Misty were.

"Everyone, we don't know where we will be taken now, but don't worry, we will be fine! Trust me!"

As the team leader, Ash was responsible for everyone else's safety. Now that he is on this mysterious aircraft, he doesn't even know where the destination is. The only people he can trust now are his friends and his Pokémon's.

Expectedly, May was excited about thsi sudden outcome, "May's expedition team turned into a rescue team today; this will be a fun one!"

This girl has always had a spirit that was always ready for an adventure; not to mention her physical fitness was constantly improving as she traveled more and more.

"She's special, you know that, right Ash?" Misty said softly to her lover.

"I know," Ash turned to her and gave a nod, "But this is also one of the main reasons I fell for her. She's just like you and Maya in so many ways."

Misty blushed a little but went along with Ash, "I could see that. Well, Ash, you now have my permission to make her yours. May and I both agreed on this, so don't worry too much." Misty gave him a lively little grin.

Ash was a little stunned but nodded, "Well, I'll take that offer."

"Oh," Misty said suddenly as if she remembered something crucial, "Did you do the deed with her yet?"

Ash gave her a cheeky smile but shook his head, "Not yet, but soon enough. Maybe even after we deal with this mess."

Misty nodded as if she understood him, "That's a-okay with me."

Max was a little puzzled in what Ash and Misty were talking about so quietly but he knew Ash enough to not interfere now of all time.

It was May who broke their little silence, "So… what are we ding?"

"I also want to know that. Like where are they are taking us and what are their purpose." Brock said with a smile.

What kind of storms and waves has he not experienced yet? And with Ash next to him, he trusted his best friend to keep him safe in such times.

The aircraft crossed a desert, anf even broke through a sandstorm and they finally landed without any major danger.

This was apparently a place in the middle of a vast desert oasis, known as the Mirage Kingdom.

A real life king and queen rule this kingdom, and the people here all worship Togepi. There is even a temple dedicated to Togepi here. It is said that the heir of the royal family needs a Togepi to obtain the royal power of this land.

Ash and his team still know nothing about this, they just stepped off the aircraft, ready to face all the challenges here.

"Welcome to the Mirage Kingdom!"

Seeing that two people and a walking cat coming out of the aircraft's cab, Ash couldn't help but laugh, "Team Rocket, what are you three doing here?"

The Rocket Trio wore their fake beards on their faces and burlap with some Togepi patterns on their bodies. They looked nondescript and particularly funny to most people.

When they saw Ash actually getting off the aircraft, they were even more surprised than the group seeing the. They took off their disguises and said, "Boss, why are you here? Didn't we leave you far behind?"

Just to avoid Ash and his group, they used their hands and feet to the limit, closing the door, kidnapping, and taking off, a series of actions were very smooth, but they still underestimated Ash's speed and their unfortunate luck.

"James, what's the purpose of this time?" Ash asked.

"The purpose this time is none other than Misty's Togepi!" James replied, pointing to the Togepi in Misty's arms.

While the three of them were following Ash on his journey, they happened to receive a mission yo catch a Togepi. Then Meowth remembered that twerp Misty also had a Togepi of her own, so they sent an invitation letter and lured Misty to the Hoenn Region for this fake festival.

So Misty received the invitation letter and met with Ash and his team was not a coincidence at all, all of this is the "contribution" of the Rocket Trio.

'I should give you a credit for making me being able to meet Misty again.' Ash thought about this clearly, smiled and waved his hands, "Okay, you can go on with your mission. And act like we don't know each other."

"Yes sir," The Trio knew that their boss was planning something so their they just went with the flow. This really didn't matter anymore since all they wanted was to get their money already.

The question now was what is the purpose of people here needing a Togepi.

Sure enough, before the Trio could retreat back, a richly dressed and mean-looking bearded man appeared behind them.

Seeing him, the Team Rocket Trio immediately put on a flattering tone, "Sir Colonel Hansen, please see through with this, we have brought the Togepi you requested!"

Hearing them claiming this, Colonel Hansen threw Meowth to James and said sternly, "Your mission failed! I only asked you to bring Togepi, not their Trainer!"

Hearing this, Ash showed a frown and said, "I was just going to find you. No matter what the reason is, I will not agree with the behavior of separating a Pokémon from their Trainer!"

"Where did you come from, kid?!" Colonel Hansen didn't take Ash seriously at all.

"I am the regent of Mirage Kingdom, Colonel Hansen! Togepi needs to be used for some reason, so we need Togepi. Leave this place as soon as possible!"
