I hadn't thought I needed an HP fanfic like this and I was so wrong. This is GOLD! Finally a fic with the main lead not wanting to be a dark lord lol. Also, something different, not to mention the children are really depicted like children and their conversations are not forced but are cute, and how Rhys is friends with Daphne and Hermione without any vulgar thoughts. We really need to protect and motivate stories like this!
One of the best Harry Potter fanfics that I have read and I have read way too many of them! Writing Quality (5/5) - I have nothing to say about the quality, if there were some errors I didn’t notice them due to how great the story is. Updating Stability (5/5) - I have binge read everything so I can’t tell however, it seems to be seven per week or once a day so I have nothing to say about it! Story Development (5/5) - Well, I won’t spoil you guys but give it a couple of chapters and you win’t regret it. Following the MC, the author has followed a clear path and willingly or not, the development of the story has no problem at all! Character Design (5/5) - Took Salazar Slytherin as the MC and developed it in ways I couldn’t have expected. As we all know little about the character itself, everything’s pretty AU but as the subject of Salazar Slytherin reappears across the story, we see another version of the founder of the Slytherin house. We see a perspective from the founder himself instead of history and the words of other wizards. Truly well developed and I can’t wait to see how he develops his relationships! World Design (5/5) - Took the world of Harry Potter and added his own twist to it, creatures that didn’t originally appear in the original harry potter series but could have appeared back in the founder’s times, all kinds of magic, organization, honestly, the world as developed beyond Hogwarts itself and I saw no loopholes. Note for the author - Honestly I love your work and would love to see a lot more. There is so much potential to still develop in this world and I have no regret having started it, my only regret is having started it too early and not having enough chapters to read. However, I love your work and I can’t wait for more! Thanks for the chapters and the fanfic!
Having read around 25 chapters im personally dipping out. Its a fairly good story with a few points that just seem kinda silly. At the start when it is mentioned how Rhys regained his youth it was literally "found weird mysterious rock and grinded it into a potion" like darn... Salazar Slytherin managed to cheat death and this is the explanation. Few more things like that and the general writing style make me dip out but its worth atleast checking out.
Rating by Webnovel standard - 4.8 | Actual Rating - 4.3 Alright so I'm caught up on the latest chapter (c194). I went into this expecting your typical edgy MC wannabe Dark Lord, instead I got a balanced and mature MC with an interesting personality. I could BARELY tell that the source material was Chinese, those that have read a lot of Chinese novels will understand how rare that is. My biggest complaint is that the chapters are too small.
Writing Quality: 5* There are a few mistakes but they do not impact the story in any way. Stability of Updates 5* Story Development 3* I was thinking what should i put 2 or 3. Overall its 3* but very low. Im at 180+ chapter and the story is nowhere the beggining we are still in a prologue. Character Design 5* For a chinese story there arent that many common chinese troupes so far. Only 1 face slapping and 1 Courting death. MC seems reasonable, Hermione, Harry, Ron are written well too, Daphne and her sister seems to have an interesting development (tho i still believe there gonna be some plot twist with strange uncle and a candy from MC side). Dumbledore seems ok, other professors too. Voldemort is interesting too. World Background 4* Was thinking about 5* cuz the thing author implements are interesting the Secret Society along with development of founders background seems very unique. Giving it a 4* Cuz 180 chaps and we are only on surface. Overall good read, quite boring sometimes. I've skipped like 3-6 chaps in a row 2 or 3 times and didnt even notice something missing. Author really cant get grasp on a good pacing.

Pretty interesting, but wish it was less of a slice of life and had actual plotlines the MC was engaged in. MC doesn't seem to have a goal, just chilling and enjoying life

Thank God there are HP fics with unique ideas. I was really getting board reading a romantic or straight up dark lord MC. This is really good. The parts where Salazar is bewildered like my grandpa seeing some new tech is awesome lol.

This is very different and very good. Respect for the Author for going out of mainstream and respect to the Translator for such a wonderful translation. Read 20 chapters and I didn't even catch a single mistake.

It's interesting. Reminds me a lot of those reincarnation anime/manga and I'm guessing there is some inspiration drawn from there. So far it's looking pretty good, but I'm waiting to see what he actually does to change anything.
The story so far (chapter 10) has been a great introduction to the series. The translation is such that as I read I couldn't tell that it wasn't originally written in english. I cant wait for more.
