Chapter 98: Unknown era

Wallace's keen eyes swept over the silent village, where an eerie stillness hung in the air. A mist, tinged with the scent of blood, copper, and burnt thatch, drifted around him, causing him to wrinkled his nose afrId that it might enter all the way down to his throat.

The villagers lay scattered across the ground, their bodies separated and scattered. It seemed as though they had simply collapsed where they stood yet some of their body parts were missing.

"These Bad Bloods were brutal, I'm sure they had fun when they killed these villagers."

Their clothing, once vibrant and elaborate, now lay in tatters, hinting at a bygone era of elegance.

Some of the villagers, both men and women, were bound in colorful robes, their forms swaying gently in the breeze.

They appeared to be unconscious, their breathing shallow and their faces pale.
