I love this novel. One of the few novels where the mc is genuinely WAY smarter than me. Feels like I’m reading about an actual genius, not some webnovel 'genius' that make everyone stupid so the mc feels smart. The author has written the other characters beautifully aswell it’s not just the mc who’s smart. The only problem is the update stability, but I can understand not everyone has free time like I do.
One of the best Light Yagami fanfics that I've read from any fanfiction site period! My only wish would be that the author would someday write a Classroom of the Elite crossover fanfic that has Yuuichi Katagiri in class D.
This is my review as of Chapter 53. Light's characterization in this is on point, there's no moment you'd read and think Light is acting out of character. Keeping in mind this is a Light without the Death Note's influence as that doesn't exist in this story. Ryuk does but he's useless, Light hasn't used him in any way possible except keeping track of cameras and spotting the occasional stalker so he doesn't have any unfair advantage either. The plot itself is intricately woven and Light takes advantage of loopholes hitherto unexplored. I especially was a big fan of the arc where he manipulated Ryueen into expelling a lot of students. The way Light navigates all the different battles is really realistic as well. There's also an original exam which is fairly interesting if you're into mind games and manipulation. There are also a couple of characters who've been developed completely differently from canon and add a new lease of life to the established cast. My only criticism is regarding the characterization of Horikita Manabu and Kiyotaka Ayanokoji. For the former, his analytical abilities have been lowered a lot, he wouldn't fall for a lot of the acts Light puts on, no matter how good he is at them. For Kiyotaka, the complaint is similar but a bit different. His personality is on point but once again, he does feel nerfed and there are a few moments which feel downright contrived or like plot armor for Light. Then again, there is a lot of time to develop in that aspect. To any COTE reader, I'd still recommend this wholeheartedly, it is worth reading. Perhaps the 3rd greatest COTE fic I've read after Checkmate and Wax Wings. Rating: 9/10.

2 review A very good fanfic, the plots are very well constructed with suspense and intrigue, even if it weren't a fanfic and were a published book it would be a great suspense book, my opinion as a reader is that it's a very pleasurable read to the point of I don't even realize the chapter is over -- However, the author seems to have college and the uploads are not constant, the uploads reach a maximum of about 6 chapters per month, I believe that if there was an update once every 3 days and bonus chapter incentives the book would be able to stay at least in the top 50, why not more? the base of readers who like Classroom Elite is low

Какой же кринж, чел поступает на самый низший класс, из-за какой-то глупости автора. В чем прикол делать главного героя, действительно гениального, чтобы что? Повторить глупую философию, оригинальную для людей с синдромом «восмиклассника»? Если и делать умным главным героем, то для начала продумай сюжет и логику, а не тупо копировать чужие фанфики, где главный герой имба, но приходит как всегда класс C, а не A или B.

A wonderful and interesting novel I've enjoyed more than I expected and I find myself after reading every chapter I stronger to another chapter and has made the characteristics and characteristics of characters wonderfully I wish you will continue with this level and thank you for your efforts

I don’t usually write reviews, but this story definitely deserves one. So let's give it a try... First, let’s talk about Light’s character. The author has showcased his personality very well. Even without the Death Note, he doesn’t act like a typical "goody two-shoes" and shows some of his dark side. Next is the story’s development. It’s innovative and doesn’t follow the original canon like most of the ‘Classroom of the Elite’ ff out there. The author also created new special exams, which are interesting and easy to follow. Now you have fresh things to look forward to in a cote ff, yey! What else, what else... Oh, one thing I actually didn’t like is that Ayanokoji feels nerfed. I get that it’s inevitable since this is a Light ff, but still… Yeah, that’s it. Overall it's been a fun read—I highly recommend giving it a try!

I'm starting to think this guy is like some intelligent anime character, coming up with all these mastermind strategies like Yagami.
perfectly displayed each character down to the finest details. This guy actually has some rather unique plans which require actual intelligence to think of
hot garbage. what kind of ending do you expect out of COTE with shinigami existence? the author probably have no idea hoe to end this story properly
This is great. This is exactly what you'd expect if Light was in CoTE. His character has been incredibly consistent.
I can confidently say this is one of the best fictions i have ever read the author is genius and he represented light yagami as in the anime exactly I hope we can see more content like this as there is not much death note fictions I really wish the author the best
I'm not really good at explaining things but trust me, this COTE Fic is phenomenal. Light is depicted so well, his decisions and thought process seem like something the real Light would do. Also, just my opinion, but I'm glad the author has made it seem like Light is smarter than Ayanokoji (I personally believe Light is smarter). It has originality with Light Yagami being in Class C, and building upon the student council. I love the fact the author provides hints throughout the chapters about Light's scheme and how you can actually figure out what he did before it's revealed. The author has done well keeping the schemes plausible and genius, without making the smart characters dumber than they should be. The writing quality is really good and it improves as the chapters go on. That does bring it one problem, the author has trouble with uploading chapters consistently, though it seems he will be uploading more frequently now, so I'm happy. Also, I don't blame author for this, he has a lot of things in life to prioritize, so I understand he can't upload every single day. I can tell the author is trying really hard to make the best COTE Fic he can, and I believe he is succeeding in that. I recommend this story and hope you guys give this COTE Fic a chance, I promise you that you won't regret it.
Top 3 OAT in terms of COTE Fanfics, this is a must read. Only thing I dislike is that there isn’t enough of it.

I liked the start of the story, but as the chapters go on, many comments correct some characteristics of Light the author got wrong, but has no intention of fixing. Also nerfed Light by these mistakes and let's put him in Class C, just cause it is interesting basically is how it is.
