Chapter 45: Letter from The Stars

"Leave."

"Make me.~"

Ísar glared up at Osayi who was standing on the railings of the young king's balcony, a proud grin on his face.

"At least let him down. He looks terrified."

Ísar had been referring to Lord Gaston, who looked frozen stiff in Osayi's arms. The young lord was in his pajamas and his usually neat blonde hair had frizzed up on all ends. Much like a startled cat.

Osayi must have dragged the boy to follow him on one of his nightly break-ins.

He was regretting letting both of them stay within his castle till his birthday. Gaston was the perfect guest on his own, but it was like his presence emboldened Osayi and the Southern Prince's shenanigans.

"Terrified?" Osayi gasped out dramatically, still cradling the shorter boy in his arms. "Why would he be terrified when I'm around?"

Ísar sighed and put his hands on his hips, his eyebrows creasing as he gave his friend an admonishing look.
