Chapter 253: Chapter 250 - The Grindelwald Plan (6)

Asterion and Herpo raised their heads and saw a huge crystal, about three meters in diameter, floating in the sky, the magical aura that the crystal gave off made both of their hearts beat faster. It wasn't fear, but sheer awe at what was probably the most energetic object that mankind could muster.

"I had the opportunity to second a Sephirot, it was the size of a fingernail, but when it exploded, it would put the muggle weapons called Nuclear Bombs to shame." Herpo commented when he saw the crystal with a diameter of three meters.

Looking at Asterion, Herpo asked in a calm but dignified tone. "In your eyes, if this thing explodes, what will happen to the planet?"

Asterion pondered as the pentagrams spun at great speeds in his red eyes. After a full five minutes, the words that came from Asterion's lips made Herpo feel a chill run through his body.

"From the simulations, the explosion will be capable of destroying a continent, but the explosion is the least of the problems. What do you think will happen to all the living beings exposed to such an insane amount of magical energy on the planet's surface?"

Yes, Asterion wasn't worried about the explosion. Yes, it would be a devastating explosion that would generate tsunamis of catastrophic proportions, but the explosion would be much smaller than I expect because magical energy has air-like properties and dissolves quickly when it enters the planet, greatly reducing the explosion.

As previously mentioned, only humans and magical creatures could accumulate this extremely volatile energy in their bodies; anything else could not prevent the magical energy from dissolving when it came into contact with the planet.

After all, if the Sephirot was the size of a fingernail, it caused an explosion comparable to that of an atomic blast, a three-meter Sephirot could theoretically destroy the surface of the planet and in worse cases, the planet itself.

However, the explosion was the last thing Asterion wanted to worry about, he was more concerned about what would happen to the world with such a large amount of Magical Energy being released into the planet's atmosphere.

Mutations? Strengthening of the Wizards and anything magical? Perhaps the emergence of a new variation of humans and fauna on the planet?

Mutations were impossible to predict, it was the same as jumping into radioactive waste and expecting to gain superpowers. You'd probably develop cancer or glaucoma at best, death would be a pleasure you wouldn't have if you did something so stupid.

"Do you think anyone will try to stop Grindelwald? After all, not everyone is like us, daring enough to bet on the one-in-a-million chance." Herpo said, moving closer and closer to the highest mountain in the frozen environment. That's where Grindelwald's plan would take place.

"I just want to see who's going to be the idiot to try and stop the plan of a mad man like Grindelwald." Asterion commented with a curious tone. He and Herpo were mad in their own way, and both knew what the other could do if anyone stood in their way. A quick death was a privilege that their enemies wouldn't have.

Asterion and Herpo didn't speak and reached the top of the mountain after a short flight. When they stepped onto the marble floor, they saw throne-like chairs lined up side by side, forming a crescent.

The thrones were obviously for Special Grade Wizards, the Semi-Special Grade Wizards had seats in the stands, but none of these people complained or said anything against the current situation.

The reason was simple, there were 12 Special Grade Wizards and Witches sitting on the thrones, even if they had ten times the current courage, they wouldn't dare sit next to such powerful beings.

"Fourteen demigods, I must say that's quite a rare scene even in Ancient Greece, the Civilization of the Wizarding World at the time." Herpo spoke in an admiring tone, feeling more and more excited to witness history or its destruction. Both were interesting alternatives in his eyes.

Asterion said nothing and sat on the thirteenth throne, feeling countless pairs of eyes falling on him, but he ignored the ants in the stands and focused on the twelve Special Grade beings next to him.

He said beings, because three of those Special Grade beings weren't human, which was no surprise, there was nothing to stop a race from having a Special Grade, only humans who numbered in the billions had more than thirty Special Grade Wizards and Witches.

Other races didn't even come close to such a massive number of Special Grade Wizards.

Asterion discovered that the three beings were famous in the Wizarding World.

Count Dracula, a handsome man in his forties with long blond hair and a perfectly groomed beard around his face. He dressed nobly in a medieval black suit with gold details.

He was a Vampire, a Special Grade Vampire.

William Corvinus, a tall, burly man, he dressed like an 11th century Nord, in dark, tough leather. His hair looked disheveled and unkempt, he had no beard and looked like a big, tall drunk.

He was the Werewolf, a Special Grade Werewolf.

The third and last was a small, ugly being, dressed like a king and with a crown over his black hair. He had small eyes and pointed ears, and his large nose and wrinkled face were enough to give any child nightmares for nights on end.

He was a Goblin, a Special Grade Goblin.

This was the King of the Goblin Nation, Ranrok VIII.

Looking at Ranrok, Asterion showed a vague hostility towards the magical creature that so many wizards and witches despise, he still hadn't forgotten that one of his Goblin had leaked the information about his Slytherin lineage to the world.

As Asterion didn't hide his malice, Ranrok VIII turned and faced Asterion with a wise and cunning look. He didn't look like someone who could be easily manipulated or even tricked.

Showing an ugly and simply terrifying smile, Ranrok raised his wine glass towards Asterion, greeting the Special Grade young man courteously and politely.

Asterion stared at him coldly, but still raised the goblet next to his throne towards the Goblin King and paid no further attention to the magical creature. If there was one thing that was said in the wizarding world, it was that you couldn't trust a goblin, a Dementor would be more reliable than these nefarious and greedy creatures.

Paying no more attention to anyone, Asterion looked at the Sephirot above them, the crystal was colorless and inside it could be seen strands of energies of different colors swimming like fish inside the crystal. It was very beautiful, but it contained a terrible danger capable of causing incalculable damage.

Despite the danger, Asterion almost couldn't suppress the greed inside him; it wasn't just him, Herpo was just as greedy. Although he didn't know the method of sublimating the Innate Technique, based on what he knew about magical energy, a large amount of magical energy could probably cause sublimation.

But Asterion wouldn't risk his life on something so crazy, he knew that if his body couldn't handle that colossal amount of magical energy, his body would simply explode like a balloon full of water. So even if he wanted the Sephirot, he had no use for the object.

Suddenly, Tinker Bell, between Asterion's hair spoke up, looking curiously at her surroundings. "Asty, there are many strong beings, the strongest have auras similar to the Four Matriarchs of the Four Seasons."

It was the first time in her life that she had seen so many different and extremely powerful beings, it left her shocked and at the same time, she yearned even more for the world outside the barrier.

She wanted to be the first fairy to leave the magical continent of Avalon to explore the world!

Looking at Asterion, Tink knew that he would help her as her friend, after all, as he himself said, friends help each other.

Asterion didn't know what the innocent little fairy was thinking, he forgot her question and focused entirely on the elderly man wearing a simple suit, walking slowly with a cane.

His silver eyes swept the entire audience for a moment, before focusing entirely on him.

Asterion could feel Grindelwald's gaze on him, the man exuded a cheerful, jovial aura. It seemed that with his plan about to be realized, he was more than happy.

Grindelwald nodded to Asterion and cleared his throat as he looked at everyone present. "Brothers and sisters, today we are gathered to celebrate a day I have long hoped to see."

"A pure world!!!"

Chapter 254: Chapter 251 - The Blasphemy (1)

Vlad Tepes, known as Count Dracula, raised his hand, his sharp nails looking like knives glistening with black enamel. His actions drew the attention of everyone in the room.

Grindelwald looked at the vampire and asked in a polite tone. "Do you wish to ask Count?"

"Yes." The man's voice was serious and regal, worthy of the Monarch of All the World's Vampires.

"The consequences if your plan goes wrong are simply something that no one present in this room can ignore, Lord Grindelwald." The Vampire King spoke, and his words contained a very astute political precision, for he wasn't just speaking for himself, but everyone in the place. It was a very clever way of gaining morale against his opponent.

Grindelwald's smile remained the same, his silver eyes staring at the vampire with a slightly colder gaze than they normally did. However, Grindelwald's actions surprised everyone. The man raised his arm and gestured towards an empty space.

"If you feel afraid, the Count can leave at any time, I'm not holding anyone against their will, you're all free to do as you please." Grindelwald's voice spread to everyone, causing countless wizards to glare at the vampire.

This condescending attitude was something that all humans used when talking to other intelligent magical species. Human arrogance knows no bounds, especially in a world ruled by humans since mythological times. This contempt for any other race was ingrained in the blood of every wizard or witch.

Vlad Tepes, as if accustomed to suffering prejudice and discrimination, remained indifferent as he lowered his hand and sat elegantly in his chair. The other two Special Grade beings, Ranrok VIII and William Corvinus, also remained indifferent in the face of hostile looks from almost the entire population of wizards and witches present.

Both monarchs were used to human prejudice, it was almost as if they didn't care about the stares of the humans present.

"Don't you think it's funny? The First Magical World War was started by this kind of mentality. In the end, Rome fell and the Gods on both sides died for the most part." Herpo, standing next to Asterion, commented in an amused tone, watching the whole show with a sadistic eye.

"Can you please stop talking so friendly to me? We're not friends." Turning to Herpo, Asterion spoke with a tone full of indifference and calm.

Herpo pretended to be hurt by Asterion's cold words and spoke with a smile on his lips. "Your words hurt me, Lord Black, I thought we'd be friends by now."

Asterion just sneered at the man's extremely realistic acting, anyone could be fooled by that level of acting, but he knew the man, how could he trust the words out of his mouth? Of the words that came out of his mouth, 90% were lies and the remaining 10% was subtle manipulation. How could he be friends with such a man, he was simply afraid that when he turned around, Herpo would plunge a knife into his back without any hesitation.

"Friend? If I had a friend like you, I wouldn't need enemies." Asterion commented with a sarcastic tone, without hiding the disdain he felt for the man.

Suddenly, everyone stopped and looked to the south, they saw a huge white fireball tearing through the sky like a comet, leaving a white trail behind it. The whole temperature of the place immediately rose rapidly.

Knowing he had arrived, Grindelwald smiled like a child and waved friendly to the old man in the sky, surrounded by white flames. He had a long white beard and wore a beautifully intricate blue robe with silver and gold details.

"Albus, I thought you weren't coming because you were at war." Grindelwald greeted the man with a gentle smile on his lips.

"How could I not come? Even if I think it's impossible, I still want to see your decades-old plan." Albus spoke as his feet touched the ground, the man's pale blue eyes staring at Grindelwald with a look full of complex emotions.

"Huh?" Herpo noticed something unusual in the exchange of glances and asked the boy next to him. "Were they a couple?"

"Yes." Asterion saw no point in lying and spoke directly.

"It even looks like we're in a book written by a woman who enjoys such acts." Herpo commented with an amused tone, the idea of Grindelwald and Dumbledore being lovers was really something difficult to associate with in the first place. Anyone would never have thought that the two of them had ever had that kind of relationship.

After all, it was a Dark Lord and a Light Lord, both of whom were supposed to be incompatible. Don't say dating, even being friends was hard to associate with, let alone in such a relationship.

Asterion pursed his lips, remembering that he really was in a world written by a woman...

Looking at the three-meter-diameter Sephirot, Dumbledore sighed in admiration, but his gaze was incredibly dignified, if anything happened, this entire newly discovered continent would be destroyed, something he didn't want after discovering how many resources it possessed.

"Isn't it possible to change locations?" Dumbledore asked, trying to prevent this continent from being destroyed.

Grindelwald shook his head and denied it. "Impossible, Albus. Avalon is the center of the planet's Ley Lines, this location is perfect for the ritual I'm about to perform."

He wasn't lying, just as Avalon had once been used for the same purpose, he would use this continent as the core of the entire magical ritual. Dumbledore let out a helpless sigh and walked towards the throne, taking a seat next to Herpo.

He wouldn't stop Grindelwald even if he could. That summer, it had also been his plan, which he had orchestrated together with Grindelwald when they were young.

What if it worked?

The world would be free of Cursed Spirits and the wizarding population could grow much faster, bringing a prosperous period to the entire wizarding civilization.

Unfortunately, the consequences were just as great, but it was worth the risk in view of the great rewards if the plan worked.

Dumbledore turned his head and looked at the man next to him, a curious look shining in his eyes. He had never seen this Special Grade Wizard before and from the traditional Greek clothes, it seemed that Greece had recently gained a Special Grade Wizard.

"Make no mistake, Dumbledore, this man is Herpo's real body. I destroyed his Horcrux in the Principality of Andorra." Asterion spoke at that moment, making the friendly look in Dumbledore's eyes disappear as quickly as it had appeared.

Even sitting between two enemies, Herpo seemed completely calm and even had an amused smile on his lips, finding the whole situation extremely funny.

Giving his enemy a cold stare, Dumbledore looked at Asterion and spoke with a satisfied smile. "Rose killed Philip de Bourbon in Calais. With that, we can advance on two fronts, putting even more pressure on France."

A glint of surprise reflected in Asterion's eye, he hadn't expected his fiancée to kill a Special Grade Wizard, especially the man who had ambushed him along with Herpo and others.

"Poor Philip, his body was a good receptacle." Herpo commented, listening to Asterion and Dumbledore's conversation. His expression was one of regret and sadness, making Asterion and Dumbledore shiver at the man's words.

"Necrophile, you should keep your private hobbies to your room." Asterion showed an expression full of disgust at Herpo's sexuality. Dumbledore also showed an expression of disgust, watching Herpo.

Seeing the looks on both wizards' faces, Herpo's face darkened almost immediately, even though he knew that Asterion's words were only meant to irritate him, he still couldn't help but become agitated and angry at hearing such insulting words towards him.

"I really don't like you, Asterion. Children in my time respected the sages of ancient Greece." Herpo commented with a slightly cold and indifferent tone.

"The feeling of dislike is mutual, Herpo." Asterion replied without hesitation.

The man shrugged and focused on Grindelwald, the man was personally finishing the touches on the pentagram. A huge pentagram that covered an area of a hundred meters. Pillars full of ancient runes stood at the ends of the pentagram.

Herpo discovered that the runes were the work of someone he had known.

"Ignotus Peverell." Herpo muttered to himself, remembering the shy, antisocial man. Who would have thought that a man like that had done one of the most blasphemous acts of his time.

And the same act was about to happen again, but this time, it wouldn't be a friendly conversation.
