Max was blind. The unfair, bloody battle between him and the Wild Vampire in this hidden restaurant was indeed just beginning. At the moment, neither of the two of them was apparently having an upper hand for him to be able to measure whether he was going to emerge as an easy winner or not, as a decisively scattered loser or as a dreadfully unscathed slayer.
But still to think of it, it seemed like he was bound by fate to lose the match because of one obvious reason...
The blindness. His unfortunate, temporary blindness.
Max was not simply blind but also, he was way nothing closer to being as unconditionally wild as his bloodthirsty opponent who was craving for blood and more blood. Even the pain-smearing wood his ribs received loudly told him so using the language of mama-pain.
