Chapter 148: disappointment and injustice

Already at the police station, Damian invited Valerie to enter the visitation room and sit there, waiting for Samuel who was being picked up by the police.

"I didn't expect Fanny to have an accident," murmured Valerie, haunted by Fanny's severe condition.

"But I think she was preparing to flee," Damian replied anxiously. "She was wearing different clothes from before she left our mansion," he continued.

"Could it be her?"

"Then who else? Her actions are very suspicious... We just need to wait for the fingerprint examination results on those toy beads."

Valerie sighed heavily, then her attention shifted to Samuel who came with a doctor. His skinny figure in oversized blue clothes, long hair, and thick beard truly astonished her, almost unrecognizable.

"You look so bad," Damian said, looking at Samuel who immediately sat across from him.

Samuel remained silent.
