Chapter 46: It's not that easy

Valerie glanced at Damian with a frown, as if restraining herself from crying again. His handsomeness and gentleness reminded her of their harmonious past, and course, she missed that.

"Trust me..." Damian nodded.

Instead, Valerie cried and immediately hugged Damian.

He reciprocated the embrace tightly, smiling as if sensing something good.

"I hate you!" Valerie exclaimed in tears. "Why did you have to have sex with Clara? You ruined our plans!"

"I know... But there's still plenty of time to fix and realize them... Just give me that chance," Damian said, occasionally kissing Valerie's forehead.

Valerie released the hug, staring at Damian while sniffling.

"I love you so much," Damian whispered, caressing Valerie's cheek. "Don't look at me with hatred again..."

"I can't... I always hate you, but I also care," replied Valerie, turning her face away.

"Just tell me what you dislike the most about my actions," Damian requested.
