"Bone Spirit..."
Yu Su talked endlessly for more than two hours, drinking water several times in between. Every time he thought about taking a break, Qingze would use its deer hoof to nudge him, making Yu Su feel awkward to stop.
Finally, his throat was smoking, and he had to pause.
"Mountain God, can we rest a bit before continuing? My throat is almost done," Yu Su's voice was a bit hoarse.
Only then did Qingze not push him anymore, but its proud expression showed a hint of disdain. Yu Su seriously doubted if it thought he was too useless.
Yusu: "..."
The disdainful gaze of the big shot is a bit piercing, to be honest.
While Yusu rests, Qingze doesn't leave. It kneels on a large rock, tilting its head, closing its eyes, appearing beautiful under the sunlight, surrounded by lively wood spirits.
Those active wood spirits hover around it, affectionate and gentle.
Seeing that the big shot doesn't intend to trouble this little ant, Yusu notices the abundance of spiritual energy in Deer God Mountain and decides to meditate, restoring his voice and absorbing energy to impact other acupoints.
During his meditation, wood spirits gradually gather around him, intertwining and entering his opened acupoints.
Qingze, with closed eyes, doesn't seem bothered by Yusu's absorption of wood spirits; it almost accepts Yusu's competition for wood spirits.

In the following time, Yusu cycles between telling stories to Qingze, meditating, and absorbing energy. Unconsciously, two days pass on Deer God Mountain.
"Mountain God, I'm going home now."
Yusu hesitates on how to ask for the Golden Blood Ginseng to cure his father. Noticing Qingze's reluctance to let him go, he suggests, "I'll come back to tell you stories in the future if you don't mind."
Qingze, showing a hint of disappointment, acknowledges Yusu's decision.
However, before leaving, Yusu asks Qingze, "Mountain God, may I inquire about something?". He presents the prescription, explaining his quest for the Golden Blood Ginseng.
Qingze examines the prescription, and after some negotiation, agrees to provide guidance but sets a condition: Yusu must return every fifteen days to tell stories.
Grateful for the favor, Yusu receives the Golden Blood Ginseng and bids farewell.
"Black Flame? That's the totem of Salt Village; don't you remember?"
Salt Village? Yusu plans to visit it soon, so he asks for an explanation.
The totem represents their guardian deity, similar to Deer God Mountain's Mountain God. However, Salt Village's guardian is said to be a black python, requiring annual human sacrifices.
Yusu worries about encountering this python when searching for the medicinal herb in Black Flame Valley.
In the village, Yusu advises his family to await his return and stands against any mistreatment.
"Yusu doesn't join the hunting team; he's hunting alone and accumulating resources."
"He's hoarding a lot. Wonder why he left the team?"
"He has the skills. Don't gossip too much."
Some envy Yusu's success, but the arrival of Qingfeng silences them.
Qingfeng announces Yusu's intention to gather supplies before returning to the hunting team.
"Brother Yusu." Someone approaches Yusu, revealing a broken-handed villager, saying, "My hand is better."
But the villager reveals that Yusu intentionally injured him for seeking Yufei's affection.
Yufei, hearing the accusation, supports Yusu, claiming he gained strength through the Mountain God's blessing.
The gossip spreads, reaching the ears of Yuda, who becomes suspicious of Yusu's sudden strength.
Yuhu, who dislikes Yusu, fuels the suspicion by claiming Yusu worships an evil deity.
Yuda, convinced of Yusu's wrongdoing, decides to report to the village witch doctor, escalating the situation.
The tension rises, and Yusu's actions come under scrutiny.
