Chapter 34: Proof of Potential

Inside the pristine walls of Invoktion, Yuro lay within a state-of-the-art diagnostic bed. Streams of data flowed across multiple screens, showcasing various aspects of his physiology. Dr. Lin and her team were deep in discussions, pouring over the results of Yuro's integration with the Dark Matter Genous.

"It's truly astonishing," began Dr. Theo, his eyes wide with surprise, "The Genous didn't just integrate; it bonded with Yuro at a cellular level. His muscle fibers have undergone a transformation that's off the charts!"

Dr. Lin, pointing at a holographic representation of Yuro's muscle tissue, elaborated, "Every muscle fiber is now interwoven with traces of Dark Matter, and it's strengthening them exponentially."

Another scientist, Dr. Mira, looked at an atomic scan, "Not just the muscles; at the atomic level, he's teeming with Dark Matter. It's as though it's found a natural residence within him."

"This isn't just a successful integration," Dr. Theo mused, "This is a level of compatibility we haven't seen before."

Their discussions were interrupted by the entrance of Commander Ramon of Ragnarok. Flanking him were two high-ranking officials, their medals and insignias gleaming in the lab's bright lights. The atmosphere became palpably tense. Everyone in the lab instantly stood up, their postures straight, offering a crisp salute.

"At ease," Commander Ramon commanded, his voice firm and carrying an authority that demanded respect. His stern gaze swept over the room, pausing briefly on Yuro. "So, this is the weapon we're betting on?" His tone was skeptical as he studied Yuro's unconscious form. "Looks average."

Dr. Lin, always the professional, quickly responded, "Appearances can be deceiving, Commander. His potential with the Genous is unparalleled."

One of the lab associates, sensing the need to validate their claims, pulled up a holo-screen showcasing clips of Yuro's fights from the tournament. Each movement, each strike was a testament to Yuro's prowess. Ramon's eyebrows raised a fraction, the closest he got to showing surprise.

"His skill is evident," Ramon remarked after watching a particularly impressive sequence. "But in this war, skill alone won't suffice. We need power, a force that the Zen Empire hasn't encountered."

"That's precisely what he represents," Dr. Lin asserted. "The integration with the Dark Matter Genous has not only enhanced his natural abilities but has also granted him capabilities we're yet to fully understand."

Commander Ramon fixed her with a stern look. "Then understand it quickly. Time isn't a luxury we possess. This operation's importance can't be overstated. If he's truly our best chance, I expect results and quickly."

With a final glance at Yuro, Ramon turned on his heel, his officials following him closely, and exited the lab.

The tension in the room slowly dissipated. Dr. Mira sighed, "He's as intense as the rumors suggest."

Dr. Lin nodded, "For a reason. The weight of this mission is immense. We can't afford any mistakes."

Dr. Theo looked at Yuro, a mix of hope and concern evident in his eyes, "For now, our focus should be on ensuring Yuro understands and harnesses this newfound power."

With that, the scientists of Invoktion dived back into their work, fully aware of the monumental task ahead.
