Trigon is an interdimensional demon whose sole purpose in life is to consume the evil and darkness on every planet and galaxy on his path.
Until now, he had been very successful in his endeavors, but like any other character in this universe, he wasn't always like this.
Thousands of years ago, he was a mortal, but not any ordinary mortal; he was a prince of a powerful kingdom on his home planet. Shortly after his father's death, he succeeded the throne, and when he took possession of it, his real self came out.
He had much greater ambition than his father; he didn't conform to his piece of land; no, he decided to conquer every land he wanted. With time, more and more land was conquered until nothing was left for him.
After conquering his entire planet, he became an absolute tyrant filled with disdain, hate, and apathy towards his people. His brutality killed and tortured countless people just for amusement and boredom.
Until one day, a group of beings calling themselves the divines came to his planet. Seeing the display of darkness, evil, and brutality, they decided to do something about him.
Their end goal was simple: to clean all the universe of evil and darkness by cleaning the hearts of those who harbored those emotions inside of them.
As to how they will pretend to accomplish that task, it was only possible thanks to an ancient artifact called [The Heart of Darkness] that they found while traveling the universe.
So they had the artifact and a plan, so they confronted the tyrant, supported by the oppressed people on the planet. They quickly bypassed the security of his fortress, going directly into his throne room. Coming face-to-face with him, they used the artifact on the defenseless king.
To their surprise, not only did he resist the effects of the artifact, but instead of siphoning the evil and darkness out of him, it was instead absorbed along with the artifact.
The tyrant king absorbed five thousand galaxies worth of evil and darkness energy, and with all that energy, he counterattacked them.
They were no match for him. In only a couple of seconds, only blood and guts were left on the throne room of the beings known as the divine, but he wasn't satisfied; he didn't come out normal after this event.
Something indeed changed inside of him—a hunger so vicious that it threatened to size his mind and assault him constantly. Slaved by those urges, he consumed the evil of every planet, increasing his power further thanks to the artifact.
Even complete galaxies weren't safe from his grasp; leaving only destruction and darkness on his path, the Demon Trigon was born.
'That artifact is the key; that is his strength and weakness at the same time' (Isaac)
Trigon stood up; the wound on his chest was healing rapidly.
"Enough games, mortal; I have a planet to conquer(Trigon)
Demonic energy came out of his body, but before he had time to do anything, Isaac responded.
"Indeed, [Rise Cardinal Guardians]"(Isaac)
As soon as those words came out of his mouth, four giant magic circles appeared on the ground: to the north, the south, the east, and the west.
*Roar*
*Graagh*
*Chiirp*
*Ghuuu*
Four mythical beasts appeared from each magic circle: in the north, a giant [Turtle with a Snake for Tail], in the south, a [Phoenix], in the east, an [Azure Dragon], and in the west, a giant [White Tiger with Black Stripes].
"Ha, ha, ha, ha, you still had some interesting tricks(Trigon)
He wasn't afraid or worried; instead, he was having fun. This was part of the reason he conquered other planets and galaxies in his mind: he loved the futile struggle of each race that he conquered.
"Gaaargh!"(Trigon)
Without delay, he launched himself into battle.
'Go'(Isaac)
...and with a mental command, Isaac orders the guardians.
*Crash*
*Fuuum*
*Sparkle*
*Huuum*
The [Cardinal Guardians] fought Trigon head-on.
The White Tiger, with its great strength, leaped into the frame, using its claws to fight, although against Trigon, its raw strength was useless.
The [Phoenix] with its fire flied into action, bombarding the battlefield with its fire, but to Trigon with his resistance, it was just annoying.
The [Azure Dragon] controlled the weather from the sky above, creating thunderstorms and massive tornadoes, but it had the same result as the [Phoenix].
Meanwhile, the giant turtle protects them with the best of its abilities from harm by making water barriers.
The results were easy to predict; they're going to perish under his might. Of course, if that was the case, the case, it's porpoise in the first place, but Isaac had different plans altogether.
******
As soon as the battle against the [Cardinal Guardians] and Trigon started, he quickly began to work on his plan.
First of all, he started to concentrate and began to feel the magic around him to confirm something.
The deeper he felt, the more confident he became.
On his mind, he saw the origin of magic—the first words spoken by the Goddess of Magic herself: [The Runes].
Every magic in existence was recorded here, and after a full inspection, he noticed that what he was looking for wasn't there.
'I was right; there's no record of [holy magic] in this universe; the only thing close to it is the magic of the gods: [divine magic].'(Isaac)
He came out of a trance and started to work.
'If it doesn't exist, then you just have to create it.' (Isaac)
He began to concentrate again on his mind, but this time he imagined a blank canvas. Here he began to try to recreate the same [Holy Magic Rune] that he was familiar with, but soon a problem rose.
'What!?, I can't remember; no, it's different; I know that I know the rune; it's just that I can't write it because as soon as I started doing it, it disappeared from my consciousness' (Isaac)
After trying and failing a couple of times and hearing the intense battle outside his mind, he took another approach.
'Ivory...'(Trigon)
[Yes master?]
'I want you to supplement me with all the knowledge that you know about holy magic.' (Isaac)
[Understood, master, but can I inquire why you need this knowledge if master already has it?]
'Well, you see...' (Isaac)
After giving him a short version of his plan, Ivory responded with an alarming and stern voice.
[Master, please reconsider your plan. If you follow through with this, your body and soul will...]
'Enough! I know the consequences of this! ...' (Isaac)
*Sigh*
'Please, Ivory, just do as I told you' (Isaac
After a couple of seconds, Ivory responded.
[Understood, master, please be careful.]
****
"Ha, ha, ha, what? Is that all!?" (Trigon)
He was enjoying his fight, and even though he knew that that mortal had a plan, he didn't care; he was Trigon, a powerful entity that knew no defeat.
*Crack*
He destroyed the head of the giant [White Tiger] with his bare hands; the other three [Guardians] just stood there waiting for his actions.
"Very well..." (Trigon)
With those words, he gathered his energy into his eyes and shot it into the giant turtle. It tried to defend itself with its water barriers, but it was futile.
The beams of energy pass right through it, leaving four large holes in its body.
*Thud*
Falling into the ground was kind of a signal for the remaining two...
*Chiirp*
The [Phoenix] flew quickly towards him, blasting fire from its mouth, but he responded by doing the same.
*Gaaagh*
He gathered his energy in his throat, and then he blasted off into the incoming fire.
*Guurruu*
His fire was more potent, instantly consuming the [Phoenix] fire and then engulfing it at the same time.
*Chiirp*
Not even ashes were left behind to support the resurrection.
Now only two beings were left on the battlefield: the [Azure Dragon] and him.
*Smirk*
He confidently approached the guardian, and with a fist raised, he punched forward, but then something happened...
*Fwaa*
His fist didn't connect; instead, the guardian disappeared before his eyes.
He could still feel the presence of the mortal behind him, so he didn't run away. So, why did it disappear?.
Wanting to find the answer, he turned around, but then he froze because he could feel something, and not just him; many other entities in the universe could feel it too.

'This is really more difficult than I thought' (Isaac
Creating a new magic wasn't easy, but it wasn't extremely hard either, because you're just using the basics but implementing them in a different way. But what happens if there's no basics to begin with? [Holy Magic] wasn't just an implementation of magic; instead, it was close to a new element, and everyone knows that to create one, you need the structure and the power to create it.
There lies the problem: even with his infinite amount of magic, he was having a hard time creating it.
'More power!..' (Isaac)
Those were the only thoughts that plagued his mind. He knew he had the knowledge, so only the power was left, but something was preventing him from achieving his goal.
*Crack*
*Splur*
A few cracks started to appear all over his body, and blood spewed out of him, but instead of healing himself, he used this blood as a catalyst to empower his magic.
"You really are persistent, aren't you?"(????)
A voice was heard in his left ear; it was pleasant and sweet, like a recently cut flower.
"Another one who overestimated his power" (???)
Another voice spoke in his right ear, but this one was harsh and raspy, as if his throat were in pain.
"I like him" (????)
Then came a voice from behind—a sweet and innocent voice that forced you to smile unconsciously.
"What will you do for this magic?" (???)
An amalgamation of the three voices was heard right in front of him.
"I will do you a favor" (Isaac
He looked at the figure in front of him as if it were expecting it to appear, and indeed, he expected to be here—the Godess of Magic herself [Hecate].
*Smirk*
She smiled, seeing his serious face, and then she answered him.
"Very well mortal(Hecate)
The Greek Goddess of magic [Hecate], as is known on planet Earth, is the Goddess that had dominion over the arcane; according to various sources, she isn't a sole entity but instead three Goddesses.
The [Crone], a goddess who despises humanity and gloats in their despair; the [Woman], a beautiful goddess who makes deals with mortals, but they often bring an undesirable outcome; and lastly, the [Child], a little innocent goddess that goes around helping and teaching people the secrets of the arcane but not without a little mischief.
'At least that's what they said, but I know the truth.' (Isaac)
[Hecate] isn't a Greek goddess, nor is [Hecate] her real name; she is an entity beyond that. She is the personification of the [Multi-Universal Energy] known as [Magic].
Born at the same time as the universe itself, she wandered the cosmos in search of life, and when she found it, she treasured them and taught them all her knowledge.
'Unfortunately, over time, their so-called "students" turned against her; their greed clouded their love and respect for her.' (Isaac)
They tricked her and imprisoned her in a special dimensional space isolated from the universe.
In there they siphon her magic to empower themselves; doing that, they took a portion of her authority over magic.
These actions cause the universe to start showing signs of imbalance and chaos.
They knew it was their fault, so instead of showing signs of guilt, they saw an opportunity; with their newfound power, they erased all trace of their [teacher] from the minds of the living organisms across all the universe, and they assumed authority and control over magic.
They started to call themselves [The Council of Mages]. This new Council oversaw all the magic-related incidents and actions all across the multiverse.
**************
For several millennials, their [teacher] was imprisoned, her existence forgotten by all, but what they didn't know was that another entity similar to her was whispering in her mind.
'The [Upside Down Man], an entity born alongside her, her antithesis, her counterpart, her weakness.' (Isaac)
Her first action when she was born was to displace and entrap him alongside the darkness of the universe in a separate dimension, but with her recent entrapment and her dominion partially taken by her former students, those beings born in the darkness started to take action.
The first one to make its move was the [Upside Down Man]. His connection with her made it easy for him to find her, and over millennia, he whispered all sorts of tentative deals. At first, she was disgusted by his voice and his offers of "help," but over time her patience started to wear down.
She started to feel a brand new emotion called [Hate], an insufferable emotion that consumed her thinking every second, every minute, every hour, every day, every week, every month, and every year.
She couldn't take it anymore; she only muttered two simple words, but those words were enough to change the multiverse forever... [I accept], and with those simple words, she regained her freedom.
**********
The so-called Council was the first one to notice that the magic that was so familiar to them shifted; it became harder to command, to use, and then in a flash of light she appeared before them.
Her wrath was felt across the multiverse; what was left of the Council flew into another dimension after being nearly killed and stripped by her of almost all their magic.
Unfortunately, the pieces of authority that they stole from her were long fused to their very existence.
She looked at the sentient beings that she once loved and cared for but now only hated and disgusted her; she wanted to strip all the magic from them, but in a brilliant moment of hate-induced genius, she instead made the magic that they depended on and loved so much a curse instead of a blessing.
To use magic, they needed to pay a price, and the stronger the magic, the bigger the price.
'As for what kind of price they had to pay, well, let's just say that being a mage from that point forward was like gambling, and the currency was bits and pieces of your own life.' (Isaac)

Over time, what happened to magic and her wrath towards them became no more than a tale in the mind of the mortals, and with the new Gods claiming tribute and adoration, she was forgotten again.
Until a Goddess appeared out of nowhere claiming authority over Magic, the New Gods tried to argue with her, but they were swiftly defeated; thus she claimed the Goddess of Magic title.
Every civilization named her differently, but she was one and the same, and the name that the people of Greece called her was [Hecate].
******************
In front of Isaac, a multi-corporeal goddess was watching him with great interest, or at least two out of three.
"To think that, "That Tree" will lend a mortal a hand" (The Woman)
"Probably he likes him, like me?"(The Child)
"This is a waste of time". (The Crone)
The Goddess was arguing with herself as if it was a normal thing to do, but Isaac didn't have the luxury to listen.
"Then if you excuse me..."(Isaac)
Been granted permission by the personification of magic itself, he resumed his efforts to create his new magic.
'Ivory again'(Isaac)
[Yes, Master]
Magic started to gather around him again, and the knowledge of [Holy Magic] was flooding into his mind.
The previous resistance was gone as if it wasn't any in the first place; the magic and knowledge blended together easily.
On the metaphysical tapestry where the Runes reside, a brand new Rune was added into the mix.
*Hmm*
The Goddess stopped arguing with herself; she paid attention to the new rune that was embedded into her.
"I see, a way for mortals to protect themselves and eliminate something evil in nature, pretty interesting..." (The Cone/Woman/Child)
*************
All the Mages on Planet Earth felt something; for millennia, the rules of magic had been written, but now something disrupted these laws.

On was left of Azarath.
'Success'(Isaac)
He could feel the magic moving according to his will, and with a thought, a golden aura started to surround him.
"My part of the deal is done; I look forward for your help in the future..." (The Crone/Woman/Child)
At the end of her words, she disappeared as if she was never there to begin with.
'This is going to cost me, isn't it?' (Isaac)
Although he was prepared to pay the price, he was still worried about what kind of help an entity like her will need.
'Well, that's for future Isaac to worry about for now.' (Isaac)
He looked at Trigon destroying the guardians, and when only the Azure Dragon remained, he cancelled his magic.
"It's time to finish this..."(Isaac)
